I created this video to show the size differences in round diamonds. Its good to visualize the differences. Some are small in difference and as the stones get larger, they really start getting noticeably larger and more expensive. If you cant afford a one carat diamond, its always a good idea to buy a .90, it will save you money for the same look as a one carat. Carat is one of the most important C's in the 4 C's of diamonds. It is what sets the price as it comes with the heaviest price increases as you move up. Use your knowledge of your partners expectations and your budget to find the right size.

“Don’t go to a mall” - Definitely. I have been to Kay’s. I went to a local jeweler and was blown away by the quality difference in the diamonds. The diamonds at Kay did not have noticeable black spots, but they were cloudy. And, I have no idea how high the cut quality was.
Absolutely, and they sell diamonds that have loose certification. SO They sell I1 diamonds but the certificate company gives them a Si1-Si2 grade. They have K-J colors One to two grades up. SO you are overpaying for an inferior diamond. It's not illegal because a certificate is considered opinion.

It fluctuates for sure. Sometimes a new supply comes in and replenishes the deals. Also be on the look out. When a good deal comes pull the trigger.

For a .75 or a .90 what color and clarity would you recommend?
I just ordered an engagement ring from blue Nile. I got the .75 cushion diamond. I can’t wait. Plus I was happy with the price. Unfortunately covid19 has delayed the ring. I have to wait so long for it 😭😭

Lab grown is a great option for people who want to save. At the end of the day, once tested its scientifically 100% a diamond. So its a new method to create these sparkly stones.

Great job. Yes buying right under the 1 carat 1.50 2 carat etc is always a smart choice. Sometimes there deals and sometimes it makes more sense to round up.

If its a diamond of value, GIA is the way to go, visit their website and inquire where you can send. I will warn you that reselling diamonds will not be fun and not what you expect. Yu will not get anything close to "retail" pricing. If you discover that your diamond isnt an ideal cut/poor light performance, even worse

Can you please help me select the most gorgeous eye clean diamond in the 1.25 ish Carat range. hey my fellow bro! It can be expensive. For earrings I usually dont recommend VVS, typically they can be 4-5K each stone.

@@TitanSlotS typically, people buy I1 and SI2 for earrings. Engagement rings are starred at closely. When people have earrings on, they arent visually criticized the same. Whats important is the cut. I would say look for a SI2 clarity I color- J color for an affordable option. Remember most earrings arent certified for a reason. They tell you its VS but its not.

Hello Daniella, I am not sponsored by them. They just happen to be the top companies to buy from. Like amazon for diamonds. I look for diamonds on both competing sites and present options for my clients. I have no preference where my clients buy, what matters who has the best deal at the moment. I am sure that if I was sponsored by one, they wouldn't want me mentioning a competitor in the same sentence. I use there websites to find my clients the better deal, simple as that. Why use another site if prices are higher or they use diamond certificates that are miss leading. Hope this clears it up. Thanks for asking this question as I am sure people are curious.

How about selling diamond ring when you can no longer afford to insure it? Suggestions?
I wouldn't sell a ring just because you cant insure it. Of course that is subjective and up to the owner. I personally wouldn't sell for that reason. You can always wear a band during the week and keep it safe at home so you feel more secure.

There are so many variables Joey. There are also large variations of cut quality within a excellent cut grade, there is excellent cuts and the best cuts which have big price jumps. The answer isn't so clear cut.
