Ever since I heard an NPR interview with Bruce in 1993 for this Christmas album, I've been hooked. I love the traditional carols with original instruments, especially Riu Riu Chiu--which has elements that date to the 16th century. I get tired of too-commercial Christmas music, but I never fail to listen to this album multiple times throughout the season.

I fell in love with this mans music out at sea in the Coast Guard in 1982. The Christmas album came a few years when I had children. Snow, cold and this album , beautiful.
