Your post is timely. On Friday, I sat down to make a list of the crafty goals I want to focus on over the next few months. My son will graduate in 2024, so top of the list is his school years album. I also want to (start, and) finish my December Daily 2022. I kept a journal of daily activities and took pictures. I love your clean and simple style for your DD album. I wrote a few others on my list, but the only other thing I am hoping to achieve realistically is to create birthday cards for the people I send cards to each year. Thanks for keeping it real, and your little blurbs throughout the video cracked me up. Happy crafting!
I bet you have fun with your daughter with her being in ballet. I think the Nutcracker ballet is so beautiful and elegant. I just need to get started on getting negatives put onto CD so I can pick up pictures I want to put into scrapbooks. All my pictures are put in regular photo albums that have flip pages without any fun or cute things that you can do with those photo albums. So that’s a lot of work I got ahead of me to get started with negatives onto CDs. Thanks for sharing as always Victoria!
It was such a treat seeing my girl perform! And you know what? You can take your time as you start working on your projects. Enjoy the process and going down memory lane!
I bet it was a treat. Always wish I had a little girl. Yes, it’s going take time to work on my project. Just need to get those negatives in to be put onto CDs then can print on my Selphy to start with. Once I get ink for my older printer, I can print them off that. It does print pretty nice pics for an old printer. Want to get the Cannon Pixma for crafters. It was on sale last week but didn’t have the money for it them. Needed new RAM to beef up my i7 which lost a RAM stick. So slooooow on just 4GBs. Now it has 16GB. It’s SMOKIN’! Beefing it up to handle Affinity Photo (like Photoshop) and Open Shot. Barely handled that on the 8GB. So good to go now! Then get a graphics card with at least 2GB and since I trashed my less than two year old monitor while moving around on the floor trying to get the computer back and forth (monitor tipped over and caught the right upper corner on the metal bar on a rocking chair). Ruined the monitor. 😫. So my geek friend said to get a gaming monitor and with the new RAM, graphics card and gaming monitor, won’t be an issue running Affinity Photo and Open Shot. Can’t wait! 😁
I don't do much scrapbooking. But I love watching your channel. 🎉I got excited to learn that you are doing crossstitch. The fact that you talk about WIPs I got me even more excited because I created a cross stitch and quilt WIP journal. I would love to send you one
I maxed out my album space long ago with 12x12 albums & handed my daughter ALL of her albums. I love the idea of reworking some of the larger travel family albums I have. Thanks for the idea.
I also have my UFO list - Unfinished Objects! Your 6 UFOs turning into WIPs!! That's an impressive and ambitious list! I'm thinking your project class is like getting a whole bunch of Roundtoits!! Looking forward to seeing your progress next few months. TFS!
Thank you for this video Victoria! So helpful to see you have unfinished projects as well. Also, if anyone is considering Project DONE, do it! It will help you break down the steps to be more productive and it's a great community.
I'm subscribing specifically because you're willing to change your albums! I too am taking an unfinished baby PL album and trying to make it smaller!! So excited to see what you're doing!
Thanks for sharing some of your WIPs, Victoria. I had never heard of WIPs until I watched Nichol McGuire’s floss tube. There were a few acronyms that I had to learn over time. She inspired me to pull out some unfinished cross-stitch projects that I had set aside for over 20 years and also have some finished peices framed and on the walls. Back to scrapbooking, I love the SS Boho Baby collection and bought it for creating a baby album for my great niece. I have always admired the life crafted albums but never bought one ($$ shipping to Canada) so I find it interesting to hear you say that the format is not ideal for one of your trips. I love what people do with the travelers notebook size but it seems like so much more work to me than a larger album. I find re-sizing photos take a lot of time. The finished products are often stunning, however (e.g. Nancy D.)! At any rate, I am looking forward to seeing how you progress with your work and I am going to employ what I have learned in 2 years of the Project Done class to do the same. Jeannine
I watch Nichol as well! She is one of many who inspired me to start working on my many embroidery and cross stitch WIPs. I'm almost done with 2 projects! As far as scrapbooking goes, I discovered that the small albums are great, but for long vacation projects, I need something a little bigger. And you are right, Nancy D's projects...OMG! The BEST!
I love the concept of this video! I am a ceramicists and WIPs are often shared in that community! I loved following along your arkansas album when you were working on it! I also went to getaway (the california location) 2 octobers ago to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. I LOVED it, such a relaxing trip!
Oh Victoria!!! Can totally relate with the baby album. I felt awful when a recent Echo Park baby line came out and purchased more baby stuff when I haven't used up what I purchased for my son over 7 years ago. But it was just more my jam!! I think following your progress on the baby album WIP and being in Project Done will be the mojo needed to get-er-done!! ❤️ And your December Daily Album is gorgeous!!!
That's wonderful! You can always donate the stuff you purchased 7 years ago...or use it for other projects. Honestly, the Boho Baby collection is way too cute to pass up! LOL!

I'm so glad friend! And I think your plan to focus on just a couple of projects is important. We can only do so much!
I seem to have about the same amount of wips. Definitely a traveler’s notebook and a December daily I need to finish!
They certainly stack up! Time to knock them out so we can move on to other projects, lol!
Fantastic idea
Little baby C! So cute!
OMG...she was teeny!

Certainly! Large albums take up a lot of space. It's nice to have small albums in the mix as well.
Ready for Project Done!!!
Woo hoo!!!
I love your style, and can't wait to see how all of these turn out.
Thanks so much!

Thanks friend, my pleasure! And thanks for mentioning Project DONE!
Perfect timing! I was just making a list of the projects I want to finish this year. 🤞
That's awesome!
