I used to listen to Sports Report every Saturday evening without fail, either at home or on the way back from the match. Sadly the show is much shorter these days due to Saturday evening kick-offs. Still listen right to the end, but switch off before the dreaded Savage and Sutton double act pollutes the airwaves.
Brilliant for putting this up. "Liverpool 1 Coventry City 3". Happy Days. But how times change. Liverpool aiming to be the next Champions of Europe and winning the Premier League. My club Coventry City have no ground to play on next season and could be voted out of the Football League in three days....
Simple intros to reports from reporters @ FA Cup 2nd leg ties on 50th annviersary edition of sports reports as a manchester city supporter i enjoyed Stuart Hall's report from Maine road

Mark Lawrenson hosts 6-0-6
Was Lawro really hosting 6-0-6 solo back then?
I was born 7 and a half hours after this was broadcast.
And I was born just as Grandstand went on air at 12.15 pm on April 18th of that year.
@@jakubwidlarz I'm sorry both of you didn't experience the 80s and 90s, the two best decades ever.
