    O. K., I now also have a Gozney ARC XL in the color Off-Black.
    Unfortunately, it doesn't have a "rolling flame" in yellow - orange but in bright blue and this only goes a little high into the dome.
    This stove is nothing like the one in Tom Gozney's videos and I am extremely disappointed.
    Either there was no final inspection at all or the quality management has totally failed.

      That seems like an issue with your propane tank or the regulator. I would try a new tank to see if that works

      @@HarplandProductions No, unfortunately not. Many buyers here in Germany are affected and Gozney has now set up a page for this complaint. We now have to wait and see how they plan to fix the problem with the burner.

    Thank you very much for this comparison, which I also requested. A great video!
    It's a shame that the Emozione isn't available in more beautiful colors, and I don't like the two new ones in green and mottled grey at all. And what is a no-go for me is the regulation of the gas supply at the back; unfortunately this is not possible at all with our setup.
    I would also have liked a few nicer colors for the Gozney ARC XL. But because the controls are on the front, we have now ordered the ARC XL in BLACK, which should be available in Germany at the beginning of next week.
    What is being discussed not only in Europe, however, is the synthetic stone that will probably have to be retrofitted to a Biscotto from Italy. But we'll see.
    What I noticed at the launch party of the Gozney ARC is that the display goes out too quickly and whenever you want to see it, it's off! Maybe Gozney should have left out this marketing gag altogether, as even at the event last week they used an IR thermometer.

      I have an Ooni Koda with a biscotto stone. For me, it was a different kind of cook on the biscotto stone than with the cordierite stone included with the Koda.
      So far, with the Gozney Arc, I'm not feeling a pull to get a biscotto stone for it. Someone on a Facebook group on the subject of the Arc series of ovens took a biscotto stone and cut it to fit in the Arc XL. The biscotto stone performed well.
      Yet, the Arc gives the user knowledge and control and more space to work in.
      The temperature probe under the stone can tell me the stone is saturated with heat at the temperature I want to cook at.
      The conveniently placed knob allows precise control over the flame.
      The ample internal deck space provides room to move a smaller pizza to different temperature regions.
      I find that all this allows me to achieve results with the included cordierite stone similar to the kind of results I got with the biscotto stone in the Koda.
      That being said, I plan to perch the biscotto stone from the Koda on top of the cordierite stone in the Arc in order to experiment with a biscotto stone in the Arc before making a final decision whether to get one for the Arc.

      I have an custom biscotto stone for my Arc XL being sent to me to test out. The main issue is that with a true biscotto stone the min thickness is 1" which is going to be thicker than the 20mm thick arc stone so it will have a bit of a raised edge in the opening that i can see the placement and turning peel hitting every time i use it. will have to wait and see

    I just bought 2 days ago) a new Pizza Party Emozione. It came in damaged and looks like it was made in a 3rd world country. Another YT'er "Keep Up With the Crib'" had the same problem. The bottom left corner was dropped. The legs were made wrong and I could not get the holes to line up. The drop was so hard it pushed out the face oven about a 1/4". The SS legs were all scratched from poor packaging after a 4600 mile trip. Pizza Party had to have known that this was damaged. So now I have to go through the painful process of getting a full refund and contacting the CC company. I think Pizza Party is sending their seconds hoping that no one will complain.

      Sorry to hear that, i have never had any issues my Pizza Party ovens or shipping, etc. They are a small family business and built by people not mass produced by machines in huge factories so they are definitely not fancy. Those issues sound more like the freight company more than Pizza Party, I am sure if you reach out to them they will replace your oven at no cost. Try sending them a message directly via instagram and I am sure they will reach out with a resolution within 24 hours.

    If you’re stuck for a new content idea, I recommend that you consider making a video on using cinder blocks and paver stones to make a wood fired pizza oven. There’s one that I have in mind that improved on the oven most folks are familiar with. Now, there’s two ways to look at this. I believe that it’s good for Gozny because it will peak interest in folks who haven’t wanted to spend 1K, but they might spend 200. When these folks see the results and get confident in their skills, they may want to upgrade unless they are complete cheapos who would have never bought a high end home pizza oven anyway. Discuss it with people and see what they think. I think it’s a good way to draw in aspirational home pizza chefs who don’t know yet what they’re capable of with a little time, effort and money. At the end of the day, these folks buying from Gozny or whomever can use their old, unused cinder blocks to make a pizza prep table or a dog house.

    I was between the Emozione and Arc xl. I went with the Emozione with biscotto stone. I couldn’t be happier with it! Have been able to make NY style and Neapolitan as it was intended to be used. The burner is great, the stone is ridiculous, but most importantly is how much space is in the oven. I love that there are no electronics in it as well. Thanks for all of your reviews! I was at HEB last night and I noticed that they had the imported Italian truffle and mushroom cream sauce that you use on one of your pizzas on clearance. The cans weren’t even close to the expiration date, so I’m guessing that HEB is discontinuing this product. If the same is happening in your neck of the woods, you can save about three bucks per can and stock up. The can I bought earlier this year says it’s good until 2027 so they will last for a while unopened. Excellent video!!!

    • @Lettuce-and-Tomatoes
      @Lettuce-and-Tomatoes 6 месяцев назад +2

      One more thing, these cans on clearance are in the exact same spot on the store shelf as before in the imported Italian foods section. The only difference now is that there’s a yellow price tag below them that says “Clearance”. I didn’t want you to go looking in the general clearance section where they usually put everything else all together in a pile if this is something that you’re interested in.

    curious why we don't see too much from Ooni. I watched a video where you listed your top companies and ovens. I've never seen ooni in the conversation. They have a large community on reddit - they seem to be just as competitive. Wondering if you address this in any of your videos. Just curious - since I've owned Ooni products for about 5 years - considering upgrading to an arc xl or s1. Thanks

      @HarplandProductions  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you so much for watching and reaching out! Let me start by saying that Ooni does make nice ovens and you can for sure make great pizza using an Ooni oven. That being said, when i was looking for my first pizza oven i testing out the original Ooni Pro and the Gozney Roccbox and I found that Gozney had an overall better design over build quality. Ooni prob makes the best, "Home" range of ovens but Gozney make a much more commercial grade oven and have much better insulation, stones, and burners, which in the end are the most important factors in pizza ovens. Ooni is good for portability and price but the rest goes to Gozney. Pizza Party make very basic, tried and true designed ovens but the beauty of them is that they there isn't anything to break or go wrong, you just light the oven and make great pizza. Ooni is very popular mainly because they have a lower price point and they have done a lot of mass marketing, making them a much more visible brand. Hope that helps answer your questions.

      The Pi is a nice basic entry level pizza oven and will make amazing pizza, I would put it at the same level as the Ooni pizza ovens in terms of overall quality. I love the looks but do not like that the flame is in the back. The Arc XL is a pretty significant step up in terms of quality and the burner, insulation and stone are much better. If your are only making a few pizzas once in a while then the Pi will be great, if you are going 110% into making pizza then the Arc is a better option.

    The width of the opening on the Arc XL doesn't seem much smaller than the Emozione. I'm considering selling the Emozione to get the Arc XL, but I don't think it has a good resale value on the used market. I think it's difficult to get a great pizza on the Emozione and watching videos on youtube of others I can see it's the same for a lot of people.

    • @HarplandProductions

      The emozione opening is quite a bit wider, the Arc XL is just over 16" wide and the Emozione is around 23" I think you will find it pretty easy to sell your oven, spring time is a great time to sell and you should be able to get most of your $ back if you do.

    • @HarplandProductions
      @HarplandProductions  2 месяца назад +1

      Hello, first off thank you very much for watching! Both of these ovens are great but there are some differences, The Pizza Party oven is very basic, it's designed to just get hot, nothing fancy, you have to light the burner with a lighter and nothing extra, their made by people not machines in a huge factory so the finish is more basic. The good part is that there is nothing to ever go wrong, you just light it and it works! The Gozney Arc XL on the other hand is a much more polished oven with lots of features and technology, this is all nice to have and makes the oven look very nice but it really doesn't make better pizza it just is nice to have and looks good. That being said, they both can make amazing Neapolitan pizza and NYC, although i am going to go against what a lot of folks will tell you on here and say that these ovens are primary designed for high heat cooking and for Neapolitan pizza and and for NYC you do not need any special ovens, you can easily make NYC style in a home oven or on a gas grill with a pizza stone, etc. It's really going to come down to which style / look you like better, and how and where you are going to use it. The Arc is much more portable and easier to move around but the Emozione is much wider and has a bigger opening and is easier for larger pizzas, etc. but is harder to move around with one person. Also if you do not have room for a table to put the oven on then the Arc with the stand is a great option, the Emozione does have a stand option but it's very bulky. and takes up a lot of space.

    How does the Gozney Arc maintain temperature after multiple consecutive pizza bakes? How much does the stone lose temperature and how long does it take to recover? Which one is better for 11-inch pizza catering, Arc vs Roccobox? Many complain that the thermometer of the Arc doesn't match the actual stone temperature

    • @lpg3390
      @lpg3390 6 месяцев назад +2

      Received my ARC XL on the first day of release. Absolutely love love love it. Takes about 90 seconds to recover so it's super fast. Thermometer not very accurate. When my says 414 (Centigrade) Range around the oven is dependent on where the laser temperature probe is pointed but reads anywhere from 350-370 Degrees Centigrade. Also on minimum temperature it settles consistently on that 414 centigrade temperature I mentioned (actual 350-370). Would prefer minimum temperature would be less. Not a problem with Neapolitan but if you want to do a longer bake would sometimes prefer a little less heat at the low setting. Also amazing for searing steaks (Peter Luger style) and searing burger patties). Which brings up my only other niggle which is a preference for the door opening to be a little higher. But in saying that it's an amazing pizza oven. Super super happy with it. Puts out fierce heat, gets to temperature quickly, regains temperature very quickly and is beautifully made and designed.

    • @HarplandProductions
      @HarplandProductions  6 месяцев назад +2

      I agree the the recovery time is very quick, by the time you have your next pizza loaded up and ready the oven will be at temp. The temp gauges on any oven will never match the laser temp reading but the under stone location for this oven is by far one of the best out there and it at least gives you a very good idea of when the stone is warm enough to start cooking

Also, comparing the Gozney Arc versus the Gozney Roccbox for business, with a bit more focus on the business vibe. Most reviews are geared towards home use and regurgitating data, without real restaurant experience. Even people buying for home use find added value knowing it can be used for commercial purposes. I can work on a more in depth video! for baking 10-15 pizzas you will not have any issues with recovery time, i always make at least 10 pizzas and by the time you have your next pizza topped and on the peel the oven will be back to temp with no problem. the opening barely impacts the efficiency of this oven due to the amazing new burner, it's one of the best ones out there now at this price point, due to the way this oven vents they cannot sell / make a full door but NU2U is creating a baffle (half door) that will help retain heat a bit.
