One of my guilty pleasures. I don't know what's more entertaining: the constant one-liners in a script that doesn't take itself too serious and embraces the B-movie genre, or how they wrote and shot the movie to integrate other movie's scenes and visual effects, from Dante's Peak to Daylight. The film doesn't seem to have a single original visual effect that wasn't lovingly lifted from some other movie. So much fun to watch! The budget, such as it was, probably went to all the legendary B and Z actors, who deliver their lines with so much gusto, you can tell they knew they were in a disaster of a disaster film and just decided to have fun.
ye ok not the block-buster, still despite the many negative comments, '53 min in and I'm still enjoying the simple story, punch lines, roles etc. Good sound, not too many ads, sound cut out 4 secs just once ..she's damn pretty too ;) THANKS 4 the good upload! BLESS UP

Great movie I'd love to see what he did when he went back, knowing they ordered the death of his entire crew and tried to kill him and his daughter that seen would have been classic. But it's a definite must watch 10/10

For those of you who don't know the joke at 45, a rabbi and a priest are sitting together on a train. Cutting it short. The priest asks the rabbi if he has ever eaten pork. The rabbi only once before I became a rabbi. The rabbi asks the priest if he ever had sex. The priest said yes, but before I became a priest. The rabbi smiles and says, it sure beats pork don't it.
How many formulas can you work into one script?
I know that this is a film but why would you need a security team to place the device when you have a huge number of missiles capable of doing what is necessary, unless @ 22:37 into the film a parameter of where the detonation has to be hasn’t been revealed yet????, any one of a number of missiles could be used, submarine, silo, aircraft based weapons so why hasn’t that been explained as to why they can’t use any of those systems?. I think we all realise that this isn’t exactly a blockbuster movie, and tbh it isn’t even an original storyline, just a mishmash of different disaster films 🎥, maybe that was deliberate but it doesn’t matter because it has led to a film that by all rights I would not usually watch, but for some reason I am compelled to watch it to the bitter end, and hopefully all the very strange subplots will be explained.
Well, they tried hard to make a disaster movie that keeps you at edge..
Well it's not as bad as Earth Vs The Flying Saucers or Plan 9 From Outer Space
I am 4 minutes and 35 seconds into this movie... I just realized that 95% of the scenes are stolen from Dante's peak LOL wonder how many other stolen scenes are in here LOL
It's not stolen, it's B-roll footage that's used to fill gaps in between big takes. It's VERY common for such footage/scenes to be recycled in MULTIPLE movies & shows.
Well they escaped the blast...just in time.

This could have been good if the producers had paid for a *good* script writer and a better editor.
Just a bunch of different movie scenes strung together. Don't waste your time.
But what they didn't tell in the movie , the radiation that killed million of Americans in other states? Need to be more realistic and truth as to what would really happen if L.A was nuked !

It was truly incredible that the first 4 bullets that hit him had no force effect on his carcass, but from the 5th bullet (which sent him flying backwards 😂🤣😂) and bullets thereafter had the force effect

One must first believe in a "god" with some sort of ego for that to even be an issue. "G" has to have a thick skin, where nothing can offend it, as it is ALL THINGS, EVERYWHERE, ALWAYS. So, whatever its 'creations' say or think is just an extension of itself. If it can get "offended", then it's no better a concept than the Greek or Roman Gods, or even the Egyptian or Hindu ones. Yikes. It's people that get offended. I can certainly find better use of my time than to get offended over the use of 'gd'. "G" is just ONE of various names (of six or seven thousand of them) that we call IT. "It" has no name. "It" is neither "She, He, or It" (small 'it'). "It" is ALL, EVERYWHERE, at ALL TIMES, ACROSS ALL TIME and SPACE. If we have to call it anything at all, it's probably... "Us". Now, that's a revelation.
Now wait a minute? Why does the Team have to drive to ground zero? Couldn't they just flown them in?
It would have ruined the plot and cut the movie short.
When the army truck was stopped at the roadblock, all they needed to do was to make a u-turn and go around the block? No?🙄

The time taken to display emotions on the faces of the characters is unrealistic .... & One more thing " Why every scientist in a hollywood movie is sooo engrossed in the readings or the calculations that most of them endanger the lives of their rescuers ?? And they always utter the same question .... " I knew it would happen !! -Or- I had said that already !! " & Then they invariably get back to their computers & work till the very last moment " R I D I C U L O U S isn't it ?? But boaring childish useless game of fooling the audiance......

The concept for this movie could be so good. They actually got a few good actors in the movie, but theyve given them a horrible script to work with. I wish, they wouldve spent a little money on an at least semi decent script writer, since a good script can make u ignore so many other issues, from junk science to ridiculously bad production.
I stuck around until the end, just to see if it could really be that consistently bad. It could. Im sure, a couple of the actors had some words with their agents about getting them into such a miserable job!
Also doesnt help, that it keeps getting interrupted by ads every couple of minutes, sometimes barely a minute apart.
For once I'd like to see an ending where the fools and bad guys get theirs in the end. The general needs to have a reckoning for his involvement for the deaths that occurred and the lies he told regarding the daughter.
obsolete, uninteresting and video FX are 20th century style. We're in 2024 and technologies have transformed drastically the film industry. People who like this, are over 60

One of the more scatter-brained story-lines I've encountered. I bailed after half an hour of it. I'm very certain it didn't get any better after that.

This has got to be the worst script I have ever heard. Most of the men talk like ill bred adolescents. This film is awful.
As usual, B series special effects, and moreover copied from the film Daylight, with a stupid passage about the weirdo on duty who kidnaps the young woman and lots of other inconsistencies, frankly it's rubbish!!
Worthess movie to watch. Don't waste your time in watching this idiotic movie. It can be given 15 Oscars for every negetive aspects. How the director/s thought that people will believe them in showing huge fire and blast inside the tunnel which burnt all vehicles, except the simple police car and the girl was safe inside the boot, and came out just like coming out of her room. Millions of Los Angeles residents were evacuated within a blink of an eye. What a joke.😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂
