You didn't enable Datalink lol. You need to press D/L button, then ON. Then press D/L again, and hold ON for 1-2 seconds. That's how you enable Datalink. And you'd be able to see enemies and friendlies on your HMD, for a better situational awareness. Also if you are on TWS while Datalink is on, your plane will lock and interrogate planes automatically, so that takes a lot of load off your shoulders when in missions.
