I know someone on methadone 3 diff times. First time they just stopped cause they didn't listen to proper detox and went crazy. This last time they did a slow detox of 2mgs/wk, then 1mg/wk, while INCARCERATED, and it took them just as long to get off as they were on it, but had no withdrawals when they finished. Only issue was they said was anxiety. I've been told by numerous people it's much easier to get off then Suboxone because you can get down to 1mg. It is possible!! Along with soberity! You just have to want it. After years of putting any substance or medication into your body, your body can't take it anymore. Pray for everyone still struggling with sobriety or mental health. Sending love, prayers and peace! 🙏 God #1.

Same. Not for that long though. 4 years. This was exaggerated and full of false info. It doesn’t get in your joints or bones… you don’t lose your teeth because of the methadone.. it doesn’t split your fingers or make you brown… you don’t wake up throwing up everyday and end up in a car drinking a bucket of methadone vomit lol. Not when youre at a stable dose. If that’s what it was like everyone would just keep using…All of that sounds like dealing with a dual habit and not using the program correctly. Yeah it sucks but not any of that lol. Unless you were to cold turkey.

@@nevereverforever0010-uf9su it was pure hell the only way I did it was by weaning down little by little till I got down and I was only taking 5 mg mg a day it took 15 years then I retired and I didn't have to go to work the first night was horrible second night I took two-and-a-half mg I stayed in bed under the sleeping bag and kept my eyes shut tight and wiggled my legs for a week then I noticed it was a little better every 24 hours before I knew it I was on day 7 and the next day was a little easier before I knew it I was on day 30 the pain that was way worse when I was at 115 mg I couldn't make it more than 2 days I was on day 30 and I never look back she just kept going and now it's two years! I have a tough time believing it myself but I did it! I started taking kratom one year ago and I got my motivation back before that I had zero motivation. Now someday I will get off of Kratom but not right now I have a hell of a mess to clean up and that's an understatement🤣

I'm currently withdrawing after stopping at 9mg just over 2 weeks ago (was over 100mg at my highest), but I'm mostly okay, & I'm hopeful that it will pass in time. Good job btw! I was on the program for 7-8 years, while my parents have been on it for 20+ now. It's awesome to hear that someone managed to get off after so long! Props.

16 days clean from a 30 Yr opiate addiction and was on methadone most of that time, I think methadone should be banned it is truly an awful drug..it stalls everything in your body. I had a really bad leg infection about ten yrs ago and It left me with a lot of fluid on both legs, every bit of it has gone now..had I known how bad it is to get off I would never have even tried, it is the pitts I hate the stuff now..thanks for the video and congratulations for your success..

Every person is different. People need to realize this and find out what works best for them. He’s glorifying suboxone and I wouldn’t kick a dog in the ass for a truckload of the crap. I weaned off it and it was freaking horrible. Worse than heroin withdrawal! I weaned off of methadone after two years of taking it and it was a walk in the park compared to suboxone. Went from 120mgs to 17mgs. Of course I stayed constipated from the methadone but you’re going to do that on opioids. Other than that I had none of the side effects he’s talking about.

After ANY amount of sleep myself and others would wake up feeling as though we never dosed that day. That's why I stopped cold turkey taking 240mg of methadone every day.
