Thank you for the comparo. ?s; In your opinion, after sufficient curing, which product offers the best durability to 'touch'. What is your current retail $ for each product.
@joshwinkleman6763 if you use a clear coat, it will take away the shine/reflection. But these paints are only meant for static models, so it won't hold up with outside elements.
I spray coated Revell Chrome as it's very sensitive to touching becoming dull, even after weeks of drying. The only varnishes which didn't affect the surface were sprays on acrylic base and one which is used for cars.
@craigcraigster5605 indeed, revells chrome quality here is excellent tho I'm not sure if the quality justifies the price tag. Revell chrome sells for $40.99 CAD. Alclads spray is $22.49. Nearly fouble the cost
@oldmodeler7747 this is a demo so people who are hesitant will know what to pick! And it's free too! You can't really try both in person without buying them first
Too bad you cant use a spraycan.
Technically to get the best results; especially with ALCLAD; it should be sprayed over flat black.
Thank you for the comparo.

@user-wj6zo3nf1s With a primer underneath, Alclad is tougher and it costs $22.49, whereas Revell is $39.99
For me Lacquer paints always win in everything. However, it is the fume that gets me. If you have better setup/ventilation always go for Lacquer imo.
💯 we never recommend using lacquers if you live in an enclosed space!
Next test should be which clear coat protects the chrome finish and still stays chrome.
@@dmgscalemodels2825 great idea!
I’m planning on using this on plastic for a scooter. Do I need a overcoat to protect it or is it fine the way it is?

To me, it looks like it is in the effect you're trying to achieve. As to which is better. Both look good. I am neutral on this.
@@charlesbecker9617 both are quite good! Can't really go wrong!
Revell is a better chrome. A price comparison would have been good.
