When my son was still taking his lunch to school I would use those little square desk Calendars with the tear off page to add to his lunch. One year was Fighter jets, one year Joke of the day. It was a fun way to personalize his lunch.
FANTASTIC idea 💡!! I think I might get one of these calendars to stick pages in my adult daughter’s lunch, or car!! She’s a Special Education teacher, and loving and encouraging words are, of course, lovely for ALL of our ages!❤️ (and yes. We live in the same house! That helps my out TREMENDOUSLY, and her as well! My adult son is with us, too! It’s like a regular party!😃 🎉 🎈 🎉 🎈 🎉 🎈 🎉 🎈 🎉 🎈 🎉
I like to buy myself gifts. And wrap it and open it on xmas.morning. it makes.my husband laugh and takes the pressure off of him. He usually has a little something for me too.
I’m done this year! I usually make a lot of our gifts and don’t finish them till the night before. But this year....with less stuff to clean and more margin in my life it has been easy to get everything done!
When I was a young mom and losing my mind with a hectic schedule, my mom would give me a calendar each year with all of the birthday dates of family members on it. It was so helpful to be aware of whose birthday was coming up and it was one thing I wasn’t always behind on.
Yes I love that too... Together with the humour, the banter and the honesty... And of course... The great content... Telling someone to watch your channel... Now that's a great Christmas present!
I gave my sister a calendar one year and put birthdays on it and then added little things like, "Buy your fav sister a car..." ;-) She thought it was hysterical!
Knowing the personality type of the person you are buying for helps a ton. My spouse WAS terribly difficult to buy for until I figured out that what meant most to him was ANY gift that was given from the heart. It could be practical or goofy. If it was given out of genuine care, then it was a hit! I prefer extremely practical gifts, like gift cards. Or something that can be USED for multiple purposes or to make life easier or more special. Knowing the personality of the person you’re buying for helps.
Great ideas!!! Love the frame to give a gift card. I actually found a perfect condition "Just Married" frame at the thrift store for $2.50 and it was a perfect way to give a gift card as a wedding gift.
I still wanna SEE the rest of the items on your table!!! There's a small santa hat thing between u two that looks cute. Send Tom out of the video, & finish SHOWing us the rest of the STUFF (please) !
Love the calendar dates idea 😊I do the "actual coupon" for my dad on his birthday for a trip to the cinema to see a film of his choice. Yes, my 3.5 year old gets excited over new toothbrushes as well! she gets a bamboo one, no character on it or anything, still excited 😂 Great video as always, thank you!
Five-in-One Painters tool (one of my kids gave me this for a Xmas gift and I use it ALL the time -- especially for cleaning nooks and crannies). Screwdriver with multiple heads you can switch out. Sweater comb (to de-pill sweaters) Schwan Ice Cream is a great gift! We are giving it to Grandpa this year. A DIY gift -- a cookie-gram. You bake 2 dozen (or whatever you want) cookies and give it along with a cookie-gram (certificate thing) that says, "You will be receiving 2 dozen homemade cookies each month for the year! It would be a good gift for a Grandma to give to grandkids and then have them come over and bake with her. Or mail them to someone far away. I would love to get a cleaning certificate for 4 house cleaning days! Great idea! I also love the Schwan meals idea.
We love to give gift cards to Half Price Books with a note that it's a time to spend together. We go to the bookstore, have a great time "helping" pick out a book, and then we head out for coffee/ice cream. Sooo much fun and it extends out their special day.
If you have a handy guy to buy for, trying just wandering around the hardware store and picking up little tools: flashlights, drill bits, sand paper, a small level, etc. Individually wrap them and put them in a new toolbox. My husband told me that tools to him were like jewelry to me: just because you already have one (pair of earrings, screwdriver) doesn't mean you don't need/want another one. Extras, stored in that toolbox, would be great to have in the car!
Oh my goodness... you had SO MANY practical ideas! The cutest idea EVER is your coupon for your Mom to have the girls clean her house. Everybody wins! Your Mom gets the help she needs, time with her grand-daughters, and the girls get the joy of serving! And Dawn, I hope somehow you still get the microwavable slippers! Excellent ideas!
I have to agree. Would have been nice to group ideas and make different videos so it didn't feel like drinking through a fire hose. So many good ideas.
My 13yo daughter is getting that dry shampoo for Christmas! I try and buy them things that I know they like but I wont buy on a regular basis. I buy regular shampoo but I cant afford to keep teens in ‘fancy’ products and cosmetics - Christmas is a great time for those things to be gifted.
I love getting fancy coffee for Christmas. I have a friend who is an old lady and love this Japanese green tea. Every year I buy her the green tea and she buys me this espresso coffee that I love. Movie theater gift cards are a great gift too, imo. Maybe that with a baby sitting coupon would be nice.
I always get our parents a fancy bag of coffee with some treats...this year, fancy nut mix, peppermint patties and chocolate covered almonds. Another idea I had is to get my mom baking supplies: flour, butter, sugar. She's 86 and takes a bus to the grocery but still loves to bake!
The microwavable slippers are really sweaty, heavy and uncomfortable. I gave a few pairs last Christmas and everyone hated them (people who never complain, it became a joke as they circulated the family, everyone was lining up to try them and complain lol)
My favorite idea is to take a $20 bill and fold it into an origami shape. It wraps up cute, shows you put thought into it, and still gives them just what they want.
I enjoyed giving my niece and nephew money that was in the form of a shirt. I used push pin thingys for buttons and the last bill was larger and the outside were ones
For our grandparents, we make a calendar with photos of the family throughout the year from snapfish. They LOVE and use them! They look forward to seeing what pics come up each month. I order when there is a big sale so it’s very cost effective.
Great ideas! One idea that my husband reduced me to happy tears last Christmas with was to print off special photos of us & the kids and put them into a small dollar store album. It may not be a minimal idea but was inexpensive (Walmart or Costco prints photos very promptly and reasonably) and made a HUGE impact. Everyone can enjoy the photos once they are off your phone and printed!
Precious girl. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful ideas!! Tom likes to antagonize you but he adores and admires you so completely. Love and Prayers for your Christmas season and throughout the New Year 2020. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉
I absolutely love the calendar idea for your spouse... With the dates already planned. My husband and I are doing Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and have a very strict budget. This gift is perfect because it fits into the budget, but it's PERFECT for our hectic life. Thank you!!!
I love the calendar idea with coffee dates for my mom. I want to do that but with her work schedule it’s hard. I need to figure out a way to incorporate something like that because I know she would love it!!
I'm all finished with my Christmas shopping but those are great ideas. I'll keep them in mind. I love the idea of consumables-especially the hair products for teens. Fabulous idea!
I love the calendar idea! That tassel phone charger is amazing and I’m buying one for myself lol. The Promises of God Storybook Bible is also great. I’m reading through it now with my kids. Great ideas that I will have to save for next year...I’m already done for this year and refuse to go over budget even when I see so many good ideas!! Merry Christmas!!
I love that calendar idea! One year my sister and brother went in together, split the year up in 1/2 and did a monthly dessert to deliver to my dad. They either made it or bought it and took it to my parent's house so it was an extra visit that way plus a sweet treat!
My husband loves the sandalwood comb I bought him for his beard and it smells amazing. Also, bath bombs, my kids love bath bombs and new toothbrushes. Love that little photo frame from the dollar store, I will be stopping today to see if I can get a couple!
Thanks for the great ideas, especially the calendar. I finished shopping for Christmas but it is always good to get ideas. Is easy to see who the positive person is and who's the Grinch. We love you Tom.
How cute! You had some wonderful ideas. I know I would enjoy receiving many of those things myself. Tom's beard looks great..Dawn, you look so happy - glowing!!!
My kids love new toothbrushes as well! Also pinterest is full of diy seasoning blends and I'm making up a bunch of those for next Christmas. We gift baskets per family and not gifts for each individual person. Last year I did fun coffee stuff along with hot cocoa and crushed candy canes and marshmallows for the kids. Each basket also had things we thought of extra for that specific family and we placed all the items in a collapsible basket bought off amazon that can be used and stored without taken up much space.
Palm scrubbers are a life saver when my hands hurt. Cool ideas, calendar one is my fave! I think I’d cry for a week if my hubby did that for me Tom is right that it’s not a typical guy thing but that why it would mean so much.
Yes I'm done shopping and only have a few gifts left to wrap. I thought we were going to be going out of town but plans changed and we're home. It's nice having time to do fun extras. I made 4 different kinds of cookies and am giving the neighbors and friends plates of cookies for gifts this year. I want to make some candy to take for family gatherings yet as well
So I am only half through the video but thought I’d tell you something I did a couple years ago And my family still talks about it, I am also planning on it this year too! I was pretty tight financially and thought what can I do on a tight budget...so I did a pedi for everyone, my mom my dad my hubby and my kiddos and they loved it! It pampered them and they got a gift & they remembered how much they loved it! Love the idea of the freezer meal!
I'm done with my shopping minus some Santa things. I love the calendar idea. My 5 year old that loves to know when and what is happening will be able to keep up with everything.
For the men in my life I grabbed a few really cool tool gadgets. I picked up a universal socket and a contour gauge from Home Depot and harbor freight (they sell both items on amazon too)... just looked interesting and unusual. 👍🏻 loved the ideas! Thank you!
Love you guys! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas. Please do more decluttering after the New Year. I need to declutter and downsize. You are very motivating and I love watching you! Your family is adorable.
Haha. I had already asked for the microwaveable slippers. And yes my 3 year old loves getting new toothbrushes. He is getting 2 in his stocking. Great ideas. Loved the calander idea.
I'm done and wrapped. A previous video linked to pillow covers. I found snowman ones for Christmas and they look perky on our couch. Yesterday I received the next set for after Christmas. What a great idea to freshen up a home. It is a good gift idea but I decided we needed them instead. : - ) I will get the credit card tool for all the family men Bday gifts. I hadn't heard of "green toys". I think they will be a go to for the new grandchildren coming into our family. I seriously laughed out loud when Tom said "That is like getting coal in my stocking" You two are informative but incredibly fun! On a side note, I really enjoy the background music in your videos. Merry Christmas.
I actually got that exact car vacuum that you showed on the screen for my husband for Christmas! He’s the neat one of the two of us. He loves having a clean car! 😂
Yes, I'm that annoying person who has finished shopping, wrapping and baking. There are still things t poo do, but I want to leave space for some space this season. Thanks for the great ideas!
All of my family loves to get a calendar with birthdays, Anniversary's and other special dates already marked on the calendar. My mother-in-law started this almost 40 years ago, and I continued it after she passed away.
Oh my goodness. It must have taken so much time to share all of these ideas and links with us. Thank you so, so much! Very best wishes for a wonderful Christmas season and continued success in 2020!
I made homemade vanilla extract for the bakers in my family. It is SO easy to make and according to the resources I used, it tastes better than store-bought. 2 ingredients: vanilla beans (amazon) and vodka 80 proof (cheap is fine) . Cut the vanilla beans, place them in a glass container (i got mine from the dollar store) and cover them with vodka. It does take 6 weeks to gain full flavor. I just gave it to my aunt and she was SO excited. She said she is almost out and how expensive good extract is. I am also working on beeswax wraps tonight with a friend for my eco-friendly loved ones.
Thanks for the great ideas! I made a movie basket out of a popcorn tub from dollar tree, along with a bag of popcorn and some of their movie candy boxes and added a movie gift card, so affordable!
Bless your heart Dawn, I don't think Tom wanted to be there😁 Toms beard is looking really nice. Maybe Tom should make a video on the different guy gifts for. Christmas. You are adorable Dawn....yes you are. I appreciate all the time & thought that goes into researching the gifts & making this video for us. Merry Christmas & God's richest blessings to you & your family.
Good ideas Dawn and alway like your input too, Tom. Guess what! I'm going through receipts and discarding most of them and what should I uncover in the pile but my long lost dress making shears which I thought I must have thrown out with some old shorts. It's unlike me to throw something away by mistake but thought I must have. I replaced them unfortunately.
You two are so cute. You have me laughing. Loved when Tom hinted to the "Truck". Great gift ideas. I was surfing on the internet for last minute shopping when I saw your vlog come up. Thanks for some great ideas. And thanks for the laughs.
For the hard-to-buy-for people on your list who have everything they need and want [and prefer to buy themselves if that arises], I have donated to a worthy cause, charity, non-profit that either the recipient prefers, or that I have researched and feel good about donating to [verify they're legit, etc] and donate in the name of your person or family that does not want any material things to dust or cause clutter. This also works for birthdays, congratulations, and other celebration times. I am long distance from everyone I'd otherwise send gifts to but it'd not practical or affordable -- in the past I have donated to one or two pet rescue groups I've followed over many years and know their situation [usually to the ones without an actual shelter and have to rely on all-volunteers and private foster homes] -- valid charities that speak to your or the recipients' hearts can always use donations, funding, volunteer labor, etc. See or ask if they have a "wish list" on Amazon dot com or equivalent. I like that I can have an affordable for me amount of pet food delivered directly to the porch of the unpaid volunteer lady who, with her few helpers, feeds and medicates the feral kitties in their rural area, 1500 miles away from me. I did grow up near there so I understand the situation. I often give to the pet rescue groups I've followed and volunteered with for decades, but one year I asked a friend how could I honor him and he would have not needed or wanted anything for himself, also donated to a particular children's home/ orphanage. When I contacted them about how I could help, they said they needed new or clean, gently used luggage for the children as they often had nothing for the few belongings they did have and crushed their soul when they had to move place to place within the system, using trash bags as their suitcases. I had 3 new unused appropriate sized suitcases and a couple of other totes and they were so appreciated. An unusual gift but well received. And when I can medically now that I am multipli-disabled, I still try to volunteer locally, continuing the tradition of my grandparents and parents who served at local 'soup kitchens', delivered meals to houses in need through our tiny church or via our community's service organizations. There are valid needs everywhere all through the year that are desperate to be met.
Great ideas! Our kids love to get toothbrushes too! They are great for stockings. I finally signed my husband up for his own Amazon account so he could shop for me. Love the microwave slipper idea!
This may sound stupid, but your hair is ALWAYS so cute!!! Im requesting a video on how you do your hair. Im totally serious. And another plug for a "minimalist car" video. Your content is my favorite of all the declutter and minimal channels. Thank you! it is changing my life, and my family for the good.
The calendar idea is great! Make sure you buy one for yourself so you you can remember all the "dates" you committed to with all your family members! I would forget someone 's.
This video saved my life! I never know what to get my parents as we live out of the country. Amazon to the rescue! I sent them the K-cups gift set...whew!! Love your channel!
When my son was still taking his lunch to school I would use those little square desk Calendars with the tear off page to add to his lunch. One year was Fighter jets, one year Joke of the day. It was a fun way to personalize his lunch.
I bought one for a birthday gift for a granddaughter and she loved it. Her's was a cat a day.
This is a great idea!
You can get positive quote/word of the day desk calendars too, they are lovely!
Your husband will be so glad when he hits 80 years old and he can fully embrace being cranky! Lol reminds my of my grandfather.
Rebecca Inspiring Hope my husband is 30 with 80 year old man cranky also! Haha
Briann Conn mine too...🤦♀️😜
Þ
A home cooked meal is wonderful!!!
And a offer to help clean!!!
Maybe acts of service is my love language
Love this!!
I like to buy myself gifts. And wrap it and open it on xmas.morning. it makes.my husband laugh and takes the pressure off of him. He usually has a little something for me too.
SEIVARDHOUSERULES My grandma used to do that with underwear and bras. She would open them in front of everyone on Christmas morning! So hilarious!
Best part of the videos is always hearing Dawn laugh!!
You're very sweet, thank you!!!!
Yes I love that too... Together with the humour, the banter and the honesty... And of course... The great content... Telling someone to watch your channel... Now that's a great Christmas present!
Love the calendar ideas. Each year I give each sibling/parents/child a calendar with all the birthdays for our family.
That's gonna be me next year. Made a lot of progress in the last 3 months. 😁 Congratulations to you.
I gave my sister a calendar one year and put birthdays on it and then added little things like, "Buy your fav sister a car..." ;-) She thought it was hysterical!
Knowing the personality type of the person you are buying for helps a ton. Great ideas!!! Love the frame to give a gift card. I actually found a perfect condition "Just Married" frame at the thrift store for $2.50 and it was a perfect way to give a gift card as a wedding gift.
We gave our young adult daughter a coupon from her dad for a car detailing for her car. He’s very meticulous! She used it and loved it!
What a great special idea. Girls love all that dads do so this is special on a whole other level!!
I would love to get a cleaning certificate for 4 house cleaning days! Great idea! I also love the Schwan meals idea.
I was given a really great rechargable depiller last year. For the past year my clothes have looked so good!
Great video ! Love the banter between you and the hubby ! Such a cute couple. Hugs to you all. Merry Christmas !!
We love to give gift cards to Half Price Books with a note that it's a time to spend together. We go to the bookstore, have a great time "helping" pick out a book, and then we head out for coffee/ice cream. Sooo much fun and it extends out their special day.
Tom was being so negative! The Blink game is so fun and I would love those microwaveable slippers.
I think he was being honest. 👍
On a separate note...Dawn you look so darling in that shirt. Please share what colors of eye shadow you are using...I love them!
Palm scrubbers are my absolute fave! Can't live without them.

Poor Tom. He was totally not enjoying this one. 😂😂😂
😂
You two are just my favorite! ❤️ Thanks for the gift ideas!!! 🎁
Electric photo frame (preloaded for grandparents or anyone really)
The microwavable slippers are really sweaty, heavy and uncomfortable. I gave a few pairs last Christmas and everyone hated them (people who never complain, it became a joke as they circulated the family, everyone was lining up to try them and complain lol)
My favorite idea is to take a $20 bill and fold it into an origami shape. It wraps up cute, shows you put thought into it, and still gives them just what they want.
Wow I would have loved that as a kid 🤠
I enjoyed giving my niece and nephew money that was in the form of a shirt. I used push pin thingys for buttons and the last bill was larger and the outside were ones
Tom and the looks he had cracked me up! And then you said he was bored 🤣
Ya it’s not a room remodel video!!! Poor Tom! That one he was so happy and animated!!!
For our grandparents, we make a calendar with photos of the family throughout the year from snapfish. They LOVE and use them! They look forward to seeing what pics come up each month. I order when there is a big sale so it’s very cost effective.
Hubby gave me similar warming slippers 5+ years ago. I have them on my cold feet right now!

I love the calendar idea with coffee dates for my mom. I want to do that but with her work schedule it’s hard. I need to figure out a way to incorporate something like that because I know she would love it!!
I feel you. I am way less busy than all of my friends, so it always feels weird to try to schedule time with them.
I'm all finished with my Christmas shopping but those are great ideas. I'll keep them in mind. I love the idea of consumables-especially the hair products for teens. Fabulous idea!
Yes I agree with your hubby. Guys don't think that far ahead. Hahahhaa! But coffee dates with a friend is a great idea!
I have put a calendar in my kids' stockings for a few years now. They love them.
Some great ideas guys. I love giving plants as gifts.
Way to go!!! ♥️👍
Both are great picks!!
I love the calendar date idea you are such an inspiration Dawn...... I’m purchasing a calendar for my husband tomorrow 🥰
I love that calendar idea! One year my sister and brother went in together, split the year up in 1/2 and did a monthly dessert to deliver to my dad. They either made it or bought it and took it to my parent's house so it was an extra visit that way plus a sweet treat!
Susanne Kriegshauser this is amazing!!
Love your ideas, as always. Here are a few more: Handheld travel fan, packing cubes & bath bombs
My husband loves the sandalwood comb I bought him for his beard and it smells amazing. Also, bath bombs, my kids love bath bombs and new toothbrushes. Love that little photo frame from the dollar store, I will be stopping today to see if I can get a couple!
LOVE the calendar idea! Will be doing that every year for the kids from now on! Thank you!
Thanks for the great ideas, especially the calendar. I finished shopping for Christmas but it is always good to get ideas. Is easy to see who the positive person is and who's the Grinch. We love you Tom.
I am sewing stuff for Christmas gift like hanging kitchen towels, hot pads pillowcases ect. Things people will use.

You guys remind me of my husband and I. I just love it. Thanks for the great ideas!!!
I had to pause you to look up those microwaveable slippers, what a neat idea for my sisters! Thanks for the great ideas!
This is the best gift idea video I’ve seen this year. These were easy to get, not time consuming, and cheap, plus being practical. Thank you!
Great ideas!!! I would love the house cleaning certificate! Hugs
I'm done with my shopping minus some Santa things. I love the calendar idea. My 5 year old that loves to know when and what is happening will be able to keep up with everything.

I want to use your idea for the 2 litre pop bottle herb garden as gifts! Thank you for that idea and all the others!
Dollar store calendars are the best! Instead of paying exorbitant prices elsewhere!
I actually got that exact car vacuum that you showed on the screen for my husband for Christmas! He’s the neat one of the two of us. He loves having a clean car! 😂
I like the scratch-off world map for people/families who travel!
Tom looks so excited, it's hilarious!!
Love you two so much.....y'all make me smile the entire video....
Are you sure you are not a gift person, Dawn? This is more gift ideas than I could have thought of in a year!!😂😁
The calendar idea is awesome. I only have to buy a gift card and then a couple of stocking stuffers for my hubby. Thanks for the ideas.
I'd love to get home made vanilla extract. Its gluten free too!
you guys crack me up. Merry Christmas to you.
Just found your youtube channel. So love your ideas and the fact that you include all the websites and information. Thankyou so much.👍🥰
Thanks for the great ideas! I made a movie basket out of a popcorn tub from dollar tree, along with a bag of popcorn and some of their movie candy boxes and added a movie gift card, so affordable!
Bless your heart Dawn, I don't think Tom wanted to be there😁
Toms beard is looking really nice.
Great video, I really enjoy all your videos. I really enjoy the banter between you and Tom!
We make a gift bag with stovetop potpourri and homemade apple sauce that I can in August when the apples are in season
This video was awesome & helpful. Thank you for this. Tom is so funny. Love his personality. This video made me smile
My grandkids and I LOVE the game Spot It! Even the 4 yr old plays it well!
Great ideas! Our kids love to get toothbrushes too! They are great for stockings. I finally signed my husband up for his own Amazon account so he could shop for me. Love the microwave slipper idea!
Lots of great ideas. I love bath bombs and they seem to be a big hit as gifts.
Wow!! What a great list of ideas! That was a lot of work to put together, I'm sure. Thanks so much! :)
My hubby likes food gifts. Chocolate, cheese, jam, coffee, pickles...
The Floral Calendar is so pretty🌼🌸🌿🌼

Some great gift ideas. Thanks.
The calendar idea is great! Make sure you buy one for yourself so you you can remember all the "dates" you committed to with all your family members! I would forget someone 's.

I get my grown kids a AAA membership every Christmas. They love it.
This video saved my life! I never know what to get my parents as we live out of the country. Amazon to the rescue! I sent them the K-cups gift set...whew!! Love your channel!
I love tom’s - “nope” after you said that you were probably not getting the microwaveable slippers 🤣
Love your videos! Merry Christmas and may God bless you!
Thanks, Dawn! You put in some time researching all those great ideas.
