He is nervous, and in shock, that is why he laughs. His laugh is not, cause he doesn't care! It's cause it's all so surreal for him. He woke up to this, they just hit him with the news. Once it sinks in, he's whole view will be different.

Dude's in literal shock. To the people who are slamming the guy for not having a better reaction, realize when you go into shock you shut down emotionally. You just become a void of emotion that can't formulate much other than basic responses and reactions. Perfectly normal for this guy to act this way, especially if he was as blind-sided as everyone else

Stephen, "for him it didn't take a village", was about to say next "he was an army of one" but instead recoiled and showed empathy by saying "he was an "ar..-, sorry..." Arms dealer fits with his business ventures, ti's a nice theory though, not to be discounted.

It's so hard for families when this happens. Everyone automatically expects them to hate the family member who did this, but it's not as easy as that. Knowing someone your whole life who you see at birthdays, Christmas, you have fun with, care about and love, then you hear they're a monster. Families of murders often say they don't mourn the person themselves when they die, they mourn the person they thought they knew, they grieve for someone they thought was real, and they feel horrible because they do feel glad the relative died because they feel as much hatred as the rest of us for what they did.
Right now this guy has found out his brother isn't who he thought he was, he's taken so many lives and his brother is dead. Imagine hearing that. The guy is in shock feeling emotions he thought he'd never feel.

Apparently there are very frequent gun shows in Las Vegas, so he didn't raise any suspicion. And he had multiple suitcases when he checked in. It was well planned in advance. It took a long time to collect all the guns and learn how to operate them. I am not buying this guy's story. Their own mother said that the shooter-son was "a bad one ". Something is not right. I've been watching this interview over and over and nothing adds up. They found his brother dead due to an apparent suicide. No history of guns, military training, mental distress or indication that he took on a hobby of guns. 10 assault rifles?? What are the odds that somebody else committed this crime and set this guy up? I'd like to see the impact groupings of each magazine, video footage of hotel security, tracing of the weapon purchases, eye witnesses from surrounding hotels that might of spotted the shooter. What happened to his girlfriend? This doesn't pass the smell test. We need a opensource investigation.

It's not impossible that his brother isn't what we are expected to believe.

Ashamed US Eagle, So he wants some attention in his grief, shock and fear? It's selfish, not charming, but he's not a minister or grief counselor--he lost the person closest to him for much of his life. We don't have to like or listen to him.
Weirdness, selfishness, neediness, or seemingly lacking in care for the victims as he does about defending his family, explaining them ad nauseum to the media does not make him guilty of anything. The police will find-out if he has involvement---until then he is presumed innocent.
People all act differently when confronted by grief and loss. Experts tell us there are no rules. Nothing people do means anything--oddities are the norm. This is loss yet it's accompanied by the shock of the person closest to him doing the worst thing to the most people ever. Think of that.
There is a 2d horrible element here: his dad was on the FBI Most Wanted. Tried, convicted, and sent to prison when he was a kid. So he lost his dad in a public shaming already---he grew up without the guy. Then, in his late teens, he and his brother get interested in guns--DUH!
They knew their dad used an automatic weapon or machine gun to rob banks...so they go try them as soon as they are old enough. They have a natural curiosity, testing what their dad did, maybe looking for a closeness to him lacking in their childhoods.
His brother, who he said took his dad's place for awhile, returns to automatic weapons, notoriety, and shame as a senior. It must feel deja vu horrific! Imagine how people talked about his dad and family when he was 7 yrs old, probably judging him too. Someone always wants to judge, shun or punish weaker people....no dad to stand up for them...
He must fear the treatment he got as a kid will be repeated now on a world-wide scale, for him, his mom, kids... This is historic awful--no question. Besides the talking, gossip, accusations he must know are going on, he can't even grieve properly with his 90-yr-old mom in the house.
He probably regrets his interest in guns with his brother, wishes he had not participated, had discouraged it... Did he miss signs his brother was homicidal on such a grand scale? How could he not have known? These questions and many more must consume him in his quiet time at home...we'd normally talk them out with a spouse, significant other, friend on the phone. But he can't talk with his mom there. She could over react, or become ill. It's difficult for healthy strong parents to deal with a child's death or crime, forget if one is 90 yrs old and your son murdered 58 people, attacked thousands, wounded nearly 500, and committed suicide.
So he feels this media display fills a need. They are willing listeners, actively involved. He has not slept, has been crying, and still is. His head is throbbing. But the attention is so soothing at times, a relief at others. He ends up defending his brother, himself, his mom---in the court that never will be but which plays out in his head constantly, and on youtube, reddit, twitter, radio talk, blogs, web pages, chats, and homes across the planet. He provides an explanation (of sorts), a defense, vents his anger, and works through some of his fears.

I keep wondering if he had a brain tumor. They can cause complete personality changes. Now they say his gf says he'd lay in bed moaning, calling out and screaming as if in terrible pain---making her wonder if he was developing a mental illness.
He was on "a common anti-anxiety medication." Turns out to be valium. I know it can affect some people in terrible ways, esp when one gets older. They warn people to tell their doctors or pharmacists if they get depressed, etc.
Going off valium can make you feel it's the end of the world--even if it's just the next day after a single dose. This I know from experience, tho I was just 24 then. I had used it regularly before the bar exam then went cold turkey after--cried constantly for over a month, like it was the end of the world. As soon as my dad explained why, I recovered.
I worked with a man in his early 60s who fell on ice and hit his head. After that, he found the tiniest amount of valium (used by his dentist to relieve patient's anxiety) caused him to lose all awareness of who he was, his memory afterwards....he could never touch the stuff again. So perhaps Paddock had a long term issue with the valium--depression after it wore off, disassociation when he took it?
Finally, he had a note posted with numbers on it--he had a weird thing with numbers and mentally ill people can see meanings in numbers. They are learning a lot about the shooter which makes more sense of it, though we don't yet know anything definitive. We may never know...

There's the unknown factor that hasn't been addressed, whether he was killed by the actual shooter(s) before the mass shooting. The investigation will figure this out. It's possible he was registered to the room and was killed in methodical way that removes suspicion from the actual perpetrators that left long before the police arrived.

Comment sections are so pathetic, the guys clearly just as lost as everyone else in his family is, like come on, people really got nothing better to do but to come and hate? Go do something productive with your life's, Dude's probably going to be in tears every 🌙 he goes to bed. If you don't got anything nice to say, don't say at all. Its really that simple, too many social freaks nowadays. God bless everyone.
    P.S
For You guys who really think he was invovled, you think he would had been interviewed outside his home? He clearly got negotiated, y'all detectives out here on RUclips's comment sections? Get outta here.

You could tell that this poor guy was shocked. He may seem coming off as disrespectful but he is just very shocked. Most people will never experience what he is going through

It's NOT his responsibility to apologize for the actions of his Brother.

It's so sad to see people like you that are weak minded and can't see the simple truth of a lie right in front of your face!!!!!

Just because he's a relative does not mean he is responsible or has anything to do with his brothers actions. Must be mind-boggling for him.

I'm feeling odd about this situation. This guys reaction tells me true shock. Legit. This shooter seems too normal...no strong political ties, no criminal record, wtf? How does that become the worst shooter in US history.

I'm very sorry, but there's something about this man continuously using the "mind blown" motion that just makes me cringe!! Your brother supposedly just blew some people's brains out literally!! Please stop using that expression! I'm sorry I'm emotional!

This case is still baffling to me....I would be curious to find am update on what they have found as far as motive since this happened.
This poor man was in complete shock.
