Fish/Surf in S.S. Anne wall (water/coast tiles tileset oversight) (Generation I)

- Due to an oversight, it is possible to fish or Surf in S.S. Anne walls where tile 0x32 appears in the bottom-left corner of the half-block.
I think this is because
a) 0x32 is a valid coast tile in tileset 0x0 (such as Cinnabar Island), but the code fails to account for the different tileset in tileset 0xD (S.S. Anne),
b) tileset 0xD is in the structure of tilesets where fishing or surfing is permitted.

Applicable 'shore' tiles include 0x48 (example: Safari Zone)/0x32 (example: Cinnabar) and the water tile 0x14.
This flaw may also explain why it is possible to fish/surf in the bottom-left corner of gym statues in Red/Blue; as the relevant tile is also 0x32. However, curiously that glitch was fixed in Yellow, but not the fish/surf in S.S. Anne wall glitch.
Unfortunately you can't find any Pokémon this way through Surf or Super Rod ("Looks like there's nothing here.") however, you can still fish for Pokémon with Old Rod and Good Rod. In Generation I, the Old Rod and Good Rod encounters are not map specific; as long as you can fish, Old Rod will give you Level 5 Magikarp, and Good Rod encounters either a Level 10 Goldeen or Level 10 Poliwag.
Also, you can combine this with Surf down glitch.

( @i_c_e_i_c_e_ on Twitter) and it turns out the glitch wasn't fixed as far as English (and other non-English European) versions of Yellow.

If only this had been out on deck, I could have accepted this as totally legitimate and intended, and even a case of "How did players miss that for all these years?!" - fishing off the side of a boat deck is done in real life all the time. ...but inside the boat itself, no windows, yeah, that's just pure Gen 1, right there. And this is part of why Gen 1 continues to be my favorite generation of Pokémon - no matter how many decades pass, it truly is the gift that keeps on giving! I just love it.

I guess if you've defeated all the trainers on the SS Anne, but want to black out so the SS Anne stays in its port, you could fish until your pokemon are fainted

Well, damn. Didn't know about this glitch.
With how many absurdly complex glitches have been found, it's amazing that something this simple went undiscovered for so long.

Wow! I was thinking the surf glitch to enter the S.S. Anne for some reason but that blew me away! That's crazy and I want a pokeman from there now.
Cool find! Doesn't look like there's too many applications for this one (aside from what another commenter mentioned about it being a way to retain SS Anne at dock with all trainers beaten), but very surprising this wasn't noted before. Out of curiosity I checked another few maps with 0x32s besides the ones you mentioned and didn't find any other instances of this, but maybe I overlooked one.
Could this be considered an encounter for a nuzlocke?

My headcanon is that Red broke a hole in the S.S. Anne's ship just so he could fish and get stuck in for no reason lol.

If the issue is it's downscaling to 144p, you can click the cog and manually choose 240p. Otherwise I'm unsure, sorry.
