I faced a guy with this team but he had altaria in lanturns place. He had tuff time against my wigglytuff😂
I've been running quite a similar team: Lanturn (with Spark), D-Nair and Altaria and went 20-5. D-Nair Safe Swap is so good.

I used this same team in retro and went 25-0 on the first day
I started getting dragon counters from the next day so made some changes later
25-0 🧢

This is a really good team, I've been loving double dragon this season
Ran a similar team last season with shadow golbat lead and just give up shields early (alignment is most critical). it’s hilarious how often you just win with the opponent having 1 or both shields left.
Is it fine to use a normal dragonair? Also i have been running into a lot of double dragon counter lately and it's quite painful.
hey guys, a little hep here: What is better? A dragonair R4 (shadow) or a Dragonair R1 but normal, no shadow. Having both, who should get my dust investment?
Shadow is the way to go IMO, rank 4 is an incredible rank too
Whimsicott says WHAT?!?! Other than just against this team, I think it's a sleeper spice pick that can be quite strong in this meta. I've been seeing so much Lanturn, Azu, Mud boys, even Jelli. If you have two solid answers to deal with things like Gligar, Talonflame/Charizard, and Skarmory, it can be a terror. Carbink, Lanturn, and Swampert all immediately come to mind. You can even pair it with Medi to bait out and chip/get a shield so your hard answer can easily clean them up.
One of my faves. The problem is it’s lack of bulk. Even if you catch a lanturn on the lead, theyll switch and end up farming down your counter swap and 2 surfs puts whims low while a grass knot doesn’t even threaten to ko

Whimsicott is definitely a sleeper pick in most cups. Even in bad matchups, it still chips hard

Personally, when I run a dragon, I like to have it on the lead, with 2 safe swaps in the back.
If I have a dominant lead, I can force switch, and then swap in one of my safe swaps.
And having 2 safe swaps gives me 2 opportunities to gain alignment. And the odds that someone has 2 dragon answers is slim to none.

Lanturn, Dragonair, Zweilous was a pretty beastly team a few seasons ago.
Forgot which YTer made it popular but it was doing well for me back then.

I find great league more interesting early on in the meta. Got plenty of time for retro next week too!
I hate seeing videos with Breaking Swipe users because it reminds me how badly Niantic fkd up giving it to Steelix and then proceeded to fk up even more by nerfing it and ruining every other pokemon that has it 😢
