That poem towards the end!🙏💜🙏 made me cry as it resonated so much. Rupert is remarkable! Thank you for taking the time to put these together. The music was beyond beautiful and added more depth to his words💜
All there is to experience is the knowing of it. It is up to us wether we allow experience to obscure that knowing or wether we allow experience to shine with that knowing. One love, one light shines through all the faces and the things that are perceived. I love the notion that an inseparable connectedness shines through all the videos and all the people watching them, wether they understand the teaching or not, like the vid or not, are Rupert-lovers or just passing by. 💞
It is right what you say. Except that it is up to us.. To allow experience to shine or obscure. We have no free choice If it were up to us would we choose obscurity? We have no free will.. Seeing that from empty awareness it does not matter if there is obscurity or light.

Thanks Alan for publishing this video clip. Rupert Spira takes the listener on a distanceless journey to discover one's spaceless and timeless ultimate reality. 😌
Awareness is primary, world is secondary. I Am the reality of this world. When we give reality to the world, we forget that it appears and disappears and we make a mistake which makes us feel that all what's going on within it matters absolutely. From the point of view of awareness nothing matters absolutely, because nothing ever happens to awareness :)
When we want to define life, we will always resort to words or ideas, because it is an indefinable axiom, like the straight line. It is a cosmic manifestation that does not occur only in living bodies, but in all matter. Bichat.
I've always been aware that I am the one who is watching the actions of the mind and body. But to actually experience all these feelings, thoughts and perceptions as the part being played in life with others and even with ourselves we must allow the watcher to be absorbed into the embodiment of the avatar that we play in this human role.
Dear Alan thanks for this beautiful video. Just a request if you could post more videos of rupert spira explaining timelessness and spacelessness. Nonetheless keep posting as it is a treat to listen rupert
I have recently become aware of Rupert Spira. I love him. Thank you Alan for this channel. Is it possible to get the text of the I Am poem? It is so beautiful. Thank you again. 🙏
what we realize that our worries and stress have no basis but our perception of the world . Is this nirvana? We feel that if we don't take care of our physical self will miss out of material necessities and fear of death. God provides enough to every living being and be at peace. We have to do best in whatever station in life we have and no more.
“All there is to experience is the knowing of it- it is up to us whether we allow experience to eclipse that knowing or whether we allow experience to shine with that knowing. Those are the two choices. Our life will unfold according to whichever choice we make.” This statement is confusing. R has implied or said outright that WE HAVE NO CHOICE! For who is there to choose?? Now I have to make a choice! I do not CHOOSE this ignorance to veil myself, or if somehow I did choose that I cannot simply choose to unveil myself!! Who would choose the torture of being veiled?? Over time I have begun to change and there are moments of opening- yet it is not “choosing”!
An example: I’ve experienced severe depression for months. The mornings are most difficult. That suffering “ me” thing can be so powerful. The morning is also when I listen to R in these videos. Recently I have felt an expansion so to speak so powerful, a lifting. It comes somehow out of being- in those moments I can see that I am NOT this depressed man who is so limited- I can feel that expansion- but “ I “ am not choosing this. If I could actually choose to be free I’d do it now. What is confusing is R saying one day there is no choice and another day that I have to choose. What am I missing here?
Right, there is no YOU to choose but thought patterns can be influenced by other impersonal thought patterns. Don't try to interlectualise this too much, there are a lot of paradoxes in concepts. You may well find that the thought idea to see reality in a new way will take hold in the thought pattern you call yours. I enjoyed feeling the gratitude for finding a teaching which can be verified in direct experience. :)
Dear Alan, the last sequence of words on this video feels like the most intimate, most truest 'prayer' to one's Self. So beautiful. Do you perhaps have a link for the original video you have taken this part from? Gratitude!

I'm wondering. Could it be said that I am is the beginning of separation? Nisargadatta calls it the first ignorance and states that our true nature is prior to this initial thought. He says: "Hang on to the 'I am' and go beyond it. Without the 'I am' you are at peace and happy." The Nisargadatta Gita #8 Would it be correct to say that Awareness is prior to 'I Am'? Prior to Beingness?
I see there are different models of reality. Nisagadatta uses Awareness as the ultimate and consciousness as the world or appearance. Rupert uses awareness and consciousness synonymously and mind activity to describe appearance. They both agree that the ultimate is prior to the I Am.
@@claudelebel49 Some models refer to a void while others say there is no underlying field and describe the appearance as emptiness/no thing, dancing. There is actually no need to imply an awareness but it can be a useful device. Rupert uses it in a very specific way. The Buddhist emptiness teaching describes and investigates objects and consciousness and finds them to be made up of pieces and parts and empty of an independent nature. I like to think or reality as a self knowing, ever changing process where nothing actually takes form and so is already empty. There is no need for an underlying void or awareness.
