The Jaguar E-Type (a.k.a. Jaguar XK-E) is a British sports car, manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1974. Its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. More than 70,000 E-Types were sold.
In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online list of the world's "100 most beautiful cars" of all time.
In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s. - Авто/Мото
Just love the way E type looks and sounds. would definitely buy one if I ever win a lottery :) Its a legacy afterall
There is no question which is the sexiest sports car ever build. I own mine since 1986, there is simply nothing better
A nice visual essay of the world's sexiest car, shot from a low camera angle to bring out its “fuselage” design, where the lower body curves under the chassis rather than the rocker panels being squared off. The simplicity of the car’s lines are perfection in form and harmony, conveying its feline power. No cut lines or other decoration are needed. Today's supercars are vulgar and pretentious in comparison.
great short film, how nice not hear someone talking, just hear the car,
Yes, and the music, where it was playing, added to and did not detract from the movie.
I vividly remember the introduction of the Legendary Iconic "E Type" which turned more heads than a multitude of busy barbers It was stunningly beautiful like the Marilyn Monroe of the car world and it was so far ahead of the time and everyone wanted one. No other car before or since has created more allure than the "E Type" which Enzo Ferarri described as the most beautiful ever created
Great comment.
Totally Agree.
Such a beautiful creation, and my all-time favorite auto!
Excellent video.
Excellent background music.
Excellent news! Thanks!
beautiful and what dreams are made of.... in saying that hate to imagine what would happen if you were to roll it. I'd roll the dice though if someone were to give me one : )
At facebook.com/NuvolariCrypt/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf you can see what happens as an E-Type rolls over. Incredible. Eric Falge rolling an E-type at Brands Hatch in 1958.
I thought the S1 was the 3.8L... No? I can never decide which style I like more, the roadster or the coupe. They are both Dreamy if you ask me.
Beautiful machine, but do please adjust the valve clearances!
What music is that playing in the background? It really suits the video.
I have a Nissan 370Z sport coupe with a 6-speed manual transmission and I consider it the closest thing I can get to an E-Type Jag at an affordable price. A late model Porsche Cayman might be a close substitute. If I had the money it would be a 4.2 liter S1 E-type OTS.
You may ask "What is so special about the E-Type?". Consider the cars debut was in 1961, that's 53 years ago. Go back 53 years from '61 and look at any model car that was manufactured in 1908. Does any car since then look as sexy? Basically , no car in the 106 years of production will turn more heads (male or female) than the Xk-e. In many minds, it remains the epitome of style and sportscar sound. Sure, the AC Cobra has graceful lines, but it's too loud to drive up to The Met,
Neil McCann Hey, thanks for your great reply concerning the E-type. Glad you liked my video! Hopefully you'll find some more in all
the videos I have made over the last couple of years. Thanks for your support! Regards from the
Netherlands, Walter
Neil McCann The AC Ace, being the six cylinder predecessor to the nutty Cobra was a far more sensible car, but it was looking old fashioned by the 60s, and wasn't so radically different in its day as the E type was in its. The E will always be the car for me..
Put some mufflers on the Cobra...
the Dino 246 GTS and Miura both look WHEY better than the E.

Memorabile bellissima unica. Una delle più indovinate auto al mondo esteticamente.
It's such a shame that the really ropy ones are so flipping expensive. A white 1964 one in California costs $67,500. The curves of this thing are like something out of my most beautiful dreams and the sound it makes just gives it an angelic sound giving the impression of an actual beating heart.
Well and beautifully said, Alex!
Why can they not start making this car again? don't put modern touches to the body don't try to make it better just build this car again, if you going to do anything to it upgrade the suspension leave everything else alone, this has got to be the greatest car ever built, why will they not build this car again?!!?!?!?
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍
who is this guy who gets to drive these classics and how do I get his job!!
It's me James, and yes, I feel privileged! Though it's a lot of hard work too getting this done. I do all the filming too! 😈😄
Anyone caught taking that engine out and swapping it for a small block Chevy engine .
Should be sent off to re-education camp .
YES!!
Nobody Home You're being way too easy on them! :)
Can't blame us for wanting a smoother, lighter, 500 HP 7,500 RPMs engine !!!
Yes we can... how can I better explain it...it would be like someone painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa! No, just NO! I understand you, and people like you, and respect your right to your own opinion. It's just that the E-Type is such a legendary auto...and WE are purest! Your 500 HP 7,500 RPM engine...that needs to be put in a vintage classic Mustang...no harm, no foul!
The long stroke undersquare low RPMs British shaker engines became totally obsolete the day the oversquare Buick aluminum V8 moved to UK... Even Jaguar realized that and they fashioned the oversquare V12 from the Buick engine...
too bad the entire video was wrecked by the stupid front plate
