In this North Wales travel vlog, we walk along the beach at Talacre, taking in the famous Point Of Ayr light house. We continue down the coast to check out the moored Duke of Lancaster ship, or the, 'Fun Ship' as it is better known. Our last location is Basingwerk Abbey at Greenfield.

Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint RUclips channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It's just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x

Glad you're both feeling better. Loved this and been to all of these places. Thanks for the shout out about Basingwerk Abbey Rach 👍 We are actually doing the Pilgrims Path Walk and have got our passport ;) so good to visit all of the churches that the pilgrims stopped at . Also the Point of Ayr Lighthouse we have a video of so its nice to see how differently we cover these places and it's great that as we have been doing The Wales Coast Path for a while , we're still fascinated that it's the only coastal path to go all around the country :) So good guys, always love the banter. Oo I’m jealous already of your pilgrims passport!! We do need to get one and start really looking at this route. Years ago we started the coast path from just outside Chester, it took us about 5 yrs to get to Llandudno 🤣🤣🤣. Maybe we’d be more accountable if we vlogged it!!! I lived here for a very short time, mid 80's - my mum and dad ran a social club called The Imperial - at the side of the caravan park - which looks like its now called Boardwalk. The Fun Ship was everything but fun as I recall! Hilarious summer, have been back a few times to hang out on the beach and dunes. Had a few pints in the Lighthouse as well. Thanks for the post folks - and hope all is well!

Okay, so this was just a gorgeous tour. That ship must be amazing to see and even more intense to be on! I might have to dig up some of those urban exploring videos! Some totally new places for me to enjoy. Although I have driven down this bit of coast the castle at Fflint is about the limit of my explorations. The Point of Ayre does look worth a walk and the Duke of Lancaster has such a story. I will have to pause at Basingwerk as well. This area has usually been just a place passed through on our way to the more well known attractions. Thanks for showing something new, to me at least. Have a great week.

Brilliant video, loved seeing all the places I have recently visited. Not been to the Abbey though, and I will now be looking into The Pilgrims Way. 👍👍 Thank you for making, glad you are both better, I had the dreaded Covid twice now, the first time before it was popular and felt on deaths door, second time I did not have a single symptom.
Thanks for watching, we need to watch your next install any of the class path!! We really want to explore more of the pilgrims way, we’ll be picking up our passports when we can! We’re fine now thank you, we only had about 48 bad hours each, the rest was fine! It was our first time, so fingers crossed we’re immune for a while! I love north wales and get to work there quite a lot, when I saw this ship I’m sure I remember when I was an apprentice driving past a ship in a middle of a field in north wales !! I thought this was going to be it at first … have I made that memory up lol ???

We love visiting seaside towns, walking along the beaches, visiting souvenir shops and especially seeing lighthouses. So this is our kind of place. Very cool looking ship with an interesting history. Oh! I love the abbey ruins too. That place looks like an amazing place to explore. Would love to see more of the Pilgrim's Way. Glad to hear you have recuperated from Covid!
