DeeJay Padilla yea mine was the same. I had to add washers to the drivers side. It’s not as perfectly flushed as the passengers side but it’s better than without the washer
raymund pada just a little like when it’s parked or sitting still or like when I take it for a car wash it does get a little wet. It doesn’t really rain a lot here so I’m not that worried about it. And I also have the stock filter on (:
@@jkaction3192 oh nice my biggest concern is that i live in canada where theres a lot of snow 2/3rds of the year and gets to -40C hahah so im more concerened about the the ice build up in the engine bay. i might go with the oem style not as good looking in my opinion but more practical
Paul Regiec not really. It doesn’t rain much where I live. And I have a stock intake so I don’t worry too much about it if it does rain. A little bit of water gets into it when I wash my car but that’s about it. As for driving when it is raining, when the car is moving, water does not get in the vents because of the angle that the holes sit at water flys passed it. Sorry I don’t know if I’m making much sense.
From what I was told no. It does get dusty in the bay but other than that no problems. It rarely rains where I live. And the way that the vents are facing the wind blows rain above and over the vents instead of into it
I just got my Honda Civic and I’m about to go crazy on it lol
Congrats!! 😁 Yeah when I first got mine I told myself I wouldn’t do anything to it just yet. But then I started installing all these things to it lol
After 2 years, having your car go through rain and washing. The vents do anything to the car? Does a lot of water get inside the engine bay?
Nope it didn’t do any damage. The bay gets more water when car washing. Other than that after it rains the bay has little water marks and just dust
You had to get washers to match the driver side height? Mines a little uneven .. the passenger sits flush but the driver side doesn't ..
DeeJay Padilla yea mine was the same. I had to add washers to the drivers side. It’s not as perfectly flushed as the passengers side but it’s better than without the washer
Does the hood fit inside the car?
dwin yangco yes it does. I just had to put the chairs down and had half in car and half in trunk
What about the windshield washer hoses etc.?
Duke Magadan the holes under neath that were already made on the hood were too small and wouldn’t fit so it would have to be dremel it cut out.
LOOKS NICE!!! quick question tho does water pour in when it rains?

Pretty dope dude, would you say it’s way lighter than the OEM hood or naw?
Yakuza Ohtani it’s super light
Did you have to cut under the hood so the washers would fit?
No I didn’t have to. But I had to add a few washers cause it wasn’t sitting even
Hey! wanna check, are the FC and FK bonnets the same? for the fitment and mounting points.
Did you have any play on the front side of the hood? Such as able to fit the tip of the fingers and wiggle it?
No the front side fits perfectly. It’s flushed with the rubber strip liner
Nice, looks sick
Gino Mazzenga Thank you so much!!
@@jkaction3192 no problem, I have my own civic si on my channel if you want to check it out too!!!👍
What is that roof rack?? Its wild, need it on my hatch! haha
Atomic Ave It’s a rhino roof rack with Thule bike mounts and fairing (:
Do you have any issues with water getting into the vents?

Does rain affect the engine? Will it go through the vents and mess up the engine?
From what I was told no. It does get dusty in the bay but other than that no problems. It rarely rains where I live. And the way that the vents are facing the wind blows rain above and over the vents instead of into it
Can barely notice it 🤔
