I swear this song was played at every high school dance that I went to! Great times! Lol. His voice is incredible! Doesn't matter if its studio or live...he was that great!
I was fortunate enough to get to see them in concert when I was a teenager! It was 2 hours of absolute perfection! I don't think we sat down once!

If you haven’t reacted to “WHEEL IN THE SKY”, you haven’t heard Steve Perry’s range, true vocal control and capabilities!
Listen when Neal Shon begins with his guitar solo and Perry steps beside him. Shon is phenomenal BUT watch Perry walk up and the note he holds for almost 7 full bars while Shon is playing is beyond words. I can do a second soprano relatively well but Perry beats me and almost every opera singer with his upper register! It speaks volumes of the GOAT he truly is! Still, at age 75, he can tear up some tunes! Phenomenal talent!
I went to high school with Steve Perry. I was a freshman and he was a senior - he didn't know I was alive! Who knew he would become "the Voice"!

@@cden409 The only thing I remember about him was that he was kinda cute and didn't draw attention to himself. He was friends with my next door neighbor and I sneaked out my bedroom window to go next door to a graduation party. Steve was there with all the guys in the garage. Honestly, I had a crush on the neighbor guy and didn't pay much attention to anyone else!

You can never go wrong with Journey.. Steve Perry Era.. his voice is iconic... my very first concert outside my Delaware State Fair.. Journey ... the Escape Tour in Philly.. I was 16 and Mom didn't want me to go. so she made me go with my older sister's ex boyfriend. a good Catholic boy... Eddie hated it.. I was so happy... Eddie got thrown up on from the upper tier.. really made him upset.. but it's a memory I will always have and it's precious to me

My fiancé was born in 1982 and I was born in 1994 lol I know big age gap. I grew up one journey and pretty much all the 80’s music and if I didn’t know a group or a singer I have my fiancé 😅 my daughter is 5 and knows all the oldies 😅 ❤
