What a game. Showed what hockey is all about. Fast, physical, and a lot of skill on display.

3:40 should have been a penalty shot, Rule 637(b). 91 looked to make it look like an accident but intentionally dropped his stick. As a ref myself, It would take some serious balls to make that call during a game like this though.

I’m never really impressed by Tier 1 U18 or U16 hockey. I want to watch Minnesota high school hockey, Massachusetts high school hockey, Wisconsin high School hockey, Maryland high school hockey or maybe Michigan. AAA hockey is just rich kid hockey and with 30 commits a year coming out of Minnesota and then a lot going to junior a lot of these kids will be lucky if they go NA3hl or EHL etc. Little Cesar’s out of Michigan are always all offense and so are the top tier 1 teams on the east coast. USA hockey is ok but the best players are coming out of MAHA and WAHA.

    • @123hockey9

@@123hockey9 Producing the largest amount of American-born National Hockey League talent has long been part of the lore of Minnesota hockey. Minnesota has produced nearly 60 more NHL players than the next closest state, Massachusetts, and nearly 100 more than the third place state of Michigan. Minnesota kids do not play triple AAA midget hockey. they play high school. if they don’t play high school it’s cause they suck. Yes a lot of NHL players may play AAA hockey until midget but if they are they are playing in the states that produce the most players into the nhl they are surpassing midget AAA and playing high school, prep, school or going straight to junior. with a name like 123hockey you should know that.

@@123hockey9 Bedard is Canadian. There are definitely kids getting drafted out of the USHL. AAA at U18 or U16 is such a money grab. If you are playing U15 and you’re going to the NHL that is when you’re getting drafted to go play junior. If you are playing triple AAA at 18 and not Junior you are probably NOT playing D1 college or playing after college. that’s just the reality.
