I am from Texas so I do not know Hockey. But I watched this whole video! Any sports fan can appreciate the level these kids were competing at! The hits, the speed, the skill! Hockey is a tough sport!
I played for the Cleveland Americans back in the 90s. Little Caesars and Compuware were tougher than most of the Canadian teams we played. Michigan hockey is no joke.
Played for the Middlesex islanders. I was an 88. The team had 2 kids make it to the show. Brian Strait. A defenseman for Pitt, and Brian Flynn who played for Buff and MTL. You could tell at 12 years old these kids were going to be big time players. Incredible to be a part of that.
Yo I played Little Caps and other DC area teams in the 80s and 90s. Respect to Little Caesars. Played them several times. Pro factory. Up there with heavy hitters like Alaska, UMass Outlaws and other programs back in my time.
What are you talking about? Checking is allowed in hockey and they are old enough to hit per USA hockey rules. These kids are highly skilled trying to stand out and make it to the next level. You should try baseball if you can't appreciate the physicality of the sport
@@J.A.07 What I am talking about? What are taking about? Highly skilled players rarely need to illegally cross check someone over the boards while not making any attempt to play the puck. It’s okay, you are however among the minority of people who appreciate the unnecessary hitting and not the skill required to win. It’s is extremely rare that champions and hall farmers get there by needlessly cross checking players for no benefit of the game or their team. Take a minute to see if you can learn something rather about the focus needed to succeed. But I get it, you prefer to see someone getting smashed. No problem from me, I would however ask that you have little to nothing to do with teaching young people anything!
@mickeypac6087 ok smart a$$. Your comments stated coach should be in trouble for letting his players "hit". That term applies to checking in general. That doesn't mean im referring to hurting someone. Get off your high horse
Team Ceasers are nice. The middlesex team was big and physical and threw the body and got them off their game but the Ceasers were able to keep their composure and get them off win.
I coach in MI..its not all that rosey..parents literally take bank loans or second mortgage make payments to keep their son's dream going..so no, its not that simple
Listening to the Sports Commentators on this video really opened up my ears to how much just about every Sports Announcer sucks. This is the way my Bruddas.
Wow class game by ceasars 🎉… middlesex tried to drag them into the quagmire & fisticuffs but ceasars stayed disciplined & focused on the scoreboard while middlesex focused on trying to disrupt cesars game plan instead of establish their owm.
Both teams played good, the referees did not care about calling penalties. Both teams were rocking each other but overall great game nhl players of the future
Refs should be embarrassed, they completely lost control of this game. Some great clean physical play, but also way too many late hits and outright cheap shots that did t get called. They are lucky a kid didn’t get seriously hurt.
1:18 seconds in and I've seen a few uncalled penalties. Is this team #1 in playing or penalties in America. The teams and refs don't know what a check is. You can't extend your arms in the checking process.
It would be interesting to see them play the MN teams. These kids do some good things and not so smart things, but MN is where the competition is. But a lot of the good MN players just play for their local city because the competition is already really strong, and they don't need to travel out of state.
@TheParadoxDestroyer I looked at their schedule, and they don't play the MN teams. You won't be able to play MN until next year, which would be Shattuck St. Mary's.
@TheParadoxDestroyer no, but I'm being clear the best hockey is in MN. Most players come out of MN, and most ice rinks are in MN. The most D1 players are out of MN. They don't need to travel anywhere, so you don't play those teams because they aren't tier 1.
@TheParadoxDestroyer I never said they weren't good, and most D1 hockey is in MN. What I'm saying is the MN play locally. They should play the MN teams. Lakers or Shattuck, but the reality is the MN teams don't travel out of state often as far as city teams.
Just a simple zooming in and out will help your videos significantly. Hard to watch for an extended period of time with the sudden jolting back and forth throughout the entire video.

This is more entertaining than some NHL games. Youth hockey sure has come along way.
the level of skill on both sides.... just wow. This is what hockey should look like.
