Another great video Sadie. I have done exactly what you did and stayed at home with Luna (before she passed away). I did enjoy the time although I definitely did not make as much effort as you - walks with a friend, M&S ready meals and trashy novels filled my evenings. Looks like you had the Olga Korbut of the squirrel world in your back garden! Funny that you speak about self-care as I woke up this morning and decided to treat myself to some new perfume. Bill and Violet's trip looks amazing and especially dramatic at this time of year. Hope you have a wonderful week. Parveen xxx
I think your alone time sounds rather fabulous Parveen! I don't mind staying home at all, in fact, I rather think I got the better deal for reasons I should't go in to! ooh, wonder what perfume you bought? I think it's really important to make sure we treat ourselves well, be it a soak in the bath, tea and cake, or a lovely treat like perfume. We deserve it. xx

I had to laugh about the out of date custard....I recently ate a sticky toffee pudding that my mum had put in my Christmas stocking....in 2022 🤣....it was almost a year out of date and was perfectly lovely. 😆. I can't imagine having a long weekend all to myself....I suspect there would be plenty of chocolate scoffing as well. 🥰

Thank you. I really enjoyed my time, but was so very glad at the return of my little family! But I agree, it's the perfect time to be kind to yourself and think about all the things we usually push to the back of our minds. I have to admit that the tartlets are the easiest thing ever! I have made them again already! x
As an introvert, I spend the majority of my time alone but I like good company on occasions - however, I live alone with my three lovely cats which is fine by me 😊 xx
Sounds like you have the perfect balance there Rachel, and we are never totally alone when we have cats in our lives. They are such wonderful little companions aren't they? x
Your videos just keep getting better and better. The flow, camera work, music, all of it. Couple laugh out loud moments in this one, Henry is definitely your little shadow. Can’t believe how pretty those tartlets came out-wow. And my all time fav dessert is French canele, so when you make them, I will then decide whether to attempt or not!
wow! that is such a massive compliment, thank you Nicole! I am so glad we have Henry in our lives, he certainly made the weekend calm and relaxed. Ah, well, you know full well that I will give a very honest opinion on the Canele once I've made them. Even if it goes horribly wrong - and there is a big chance that it will - I will share it all! x
