They must have shot this film in central and Eastern Kentucky because some of the physical settings of this movie seemed very authentic to me. These big coal company executives can be quite ruthless and unethical in their behavior toward the environment and toward other people. The performance of Kris Kristofferson is the best part of this film.
I just found this channel 20 minutes ago and i am loving this Seagal series. I enjoyed his cheesy 90’s movies…. Kris Kristofferson made this movie though
This was the film where I was finally able to prove to a friend of mine who was obsessed with Seagal that he was full of shit! The characters are all rejects from an episode of Walker: Texas Ranger. The plot goes nowhere. And Seagal proved he has NEVER worked a day in his life by wearing that stupid suit when he is out in the yard working on building steps in it. Since they're having all these backyard hoedowns in Kentucky, it's late spring-early fall. And it gets HOT! Way to hot to be wearing some fancy BLACK jacket and suit which just attracts heat! There was no way my friend could justify his way out of this one! Seagal was definitely loving the smell of his own excrement by this time. Not even trying. I guess he must have seen the television film Drive at some point before shooting, since they stole the truck stunt from that much more entertaining flick.
And I always thought that this, kids, is as close as we'll get to a Jack Reacher movie - a huge guy comes to a small town, finds an evil plot, punches lots of bad hombres and waltzes out. A really stupid Jack Reacher movie, mind you, but all the elements are creepily present.
Kris Kristofferson is an American icon. He can look as "tight" as he wants. He wrote Me and Bobby McGee FFS. Plus he trains vampire hunters, so... there...
I dunno if anyone noticed , but whats her name from the TV show CSI is in this movie, " kathryn " is her charactor name , Marg hildenburger is her real name thaats it , its was funny , I expected her to come up with some witty 1 liner and the Roger Daultry scream from the opening song from the ' Who " for CSI opening LOL, so what Steven Segal k*lls everyone , then Grisom & the CSI team comes in to collect the evidence were everything changes to green lighting and extreme close up shots
I actually really enjoy “Fire Down Below” as a film. The cast is littered with folk / country music legends, including Kris Kristofferson, Levon Helm, Mark Collie, Randy Travis, Stephen Lang, Travis Tritt, Harry Dean Stanton and many others. As for Kris Kristofferson’s portrayal of the bad guy, if petrochemical executives are anything to go by (I’ve encountered a couple in my time), then his portrayal is relatively accurate. I also understand that (some of) the filming took place on location in Kentucky. And the drawl/accent isn’t “Southern” - it’s Midwest or Appalachian dialect.
Wow the difference in red eye reviews compared to what they are now. He is so calm and serious almost. These days he is so chipper and happy and you can hear it in his voice and he is on point with the jokes. Much more jokes now compared to then. He should redo these videos with his upbeat self.
Tight moguls are tight, for sure! Also, Steven holding his hands (like when the cops come to detain him) to appear more important looks cute AF. Re jackets with color stripes, I think he's trying for the Native American vibe.
That truck crash 9:14 was a rip-off from another Steven -Spielberg -it's from the end of "The Duel". -if you think of it -the whole chase was a rip-off of "The Duel".

The way he said "That's right, jacket number five." broke me.
9:10 This scene was stolen from the Steven Spielberg movie Duel. Even uses very similar camera angles.
At 11:39 that’s Stephen Lang! Ol claw face Quaritch from Avatar, and pervy blind man from Don’t Breathe.
Bro , your videos make day better becuse I don’t want to watch these movies as an adult .. I loved them as a kid , and I just want the nostalgia … if I watched them today , I would lose my shit
I'm so glad you like them! :)
This is his Native American phase of his life.
The bad guy should have taken Seagals jackets hostage. That's clearly his weakness.
This movie is like Seagal wanted to rip off Walkimg Tall and Roadhouse but with a slight nod to environmentalism
You missed out ole' Randy Travis - the corrupt Agent with the cowboy gear and Neal McDonough - the truck driver who crashed into the petrol pumps (although he was very briefly seen).
Oh I just had to subscribe after you done "pinch face" Steven Seagal! God that was so hysterical it really made my day 😁 Definitely craving more Steven Seagal and possibly some some JC-2D-VD 😂 Great stuff - please continue the good work.
Chiz
Haha thank you! That pinch face gives me a good laugh too. Oh I will definitely be doing JCVD! Thanks for the sub! I appreciate the support.
@@RedEyeReviews You're more than welcome mate. The weather is all dark and gloomy here in England at the moment and I needed a good laugh to cheer me up after the day I've had. You're clearly making a great effort so damn straight you should get plenty of praise and credit. That is.... as long as I'm speaking to the "real" you and not your internet body double a-la like Seagal 😂 Again, fantastic stuff so well done!! SC
@@schiz5674 Well thank you! Glad I can help with the gloomy weather. Uhhh body double?! Please I tell everybody I do all my own video making and stunts, Ok?!
Kris Kristofferson - singer/songwriter/actor - see him in Blade, the first (?) Marvel live superhero film. Kris is terrific in Blade.
They must have shot this film in central and Eastern Kentucky because some of the physical settings of this movie seemed very authentic to me. These big coal company executives can be quite ruthless and unethical in their behavior toward the environment and toward other people. The performance of Kris Kristofferson is the best part of this film.
Love your videos
Thanks Mike!
I just found this channel 20 minutes ago and i am loving this Seagal series. I enjoyed his cheesy 90’s movies…. Kris Kristofferson made this movie though
Thank you!
Was the film about jock itch?
a jacket which makes it look like the mafia had court jesters - that made me chuckle real hard dude.
I thought it was Duel
5:50 Not the bees!! AAAA
An homage.
And I always thought that this, kids, is as close as we'll get to a Jack Reacher movie - a huge guy comes to a small town, finds an evil plot, punches lots of bad hombres and waltzes out. A really stupid Jack Reacher movie, mind you, but all the elements are creepily present.
You killed it on this one. 😎
For example: 13:37
Thank you!
Oof why you gotta make fun of Kris Kristofferson like that? XD I still love him as Whistler in the Blade movies.
Haha I know I'm sorry.
Kris Kristofferson is an American icon. He can look as "tight" as he wants. He wrote Me and Bobby McGee FFS. Plus he trains vampire hunters, so... there...
7:20 Harry Heck from The Tom Jane Punisher Movie.
"He looks like if the Italian Mob had jesters." I just about sh*t.
The one mystery she could never solve on CSI is how she got roped into Fire Down Below
@@Mattastrophic1 hahahaaaaa at least she was titled the milf of all milf's
Is this the one where he tries to play guitar and sing in the bar?
"Matthew McConoughey's son" 😅😂
This video was on point, some good laughs at work
So glad you like it!
Holy freakin' Moses ! Heavens to Betsy ! That truck driver at the gas station scene.....that's Neal McDonough !!! Ôo
😂🤣😂🤣 I laught sooo LOUD 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 I am loving these series with Steven Seagal
Aww thank you friend
I've actually met Kris Kristofferson and your right, his face is incredibly small on quite a massive head.
11:40 Holy sh*t, is that Stephen Lang? The bad guy from Avatar?
Guess his career in environmental terrorism goes back a long way
Wow the difference in red eye reviews compared to what they are now. He is so calm and serious almost. These days he is so chipper and happy and you can hear it in his voice and he is on point with the jokes. Much more jokes now compared to then. He should redo these videos with his upbeat self.
“If the Italian mob had jesters” - Imao!
