Thank you. I work at a sandwich shop in a gas station and we are remaining open. Most people are so ungrateful and unappreciative of the fact that we are risking our health because essentially most don't want to make their own sandwich at home. Show some kindness people and a tip wouldn't hurt either. Jus' sayin'.
It may not matter to most people, but I work at a gas station, right off the Interstate, and people like me have been working our butts off, making every effort to be safe and healthy. I have to gear up before my shift begins. And lately, there has been a few moments of worry, and praying someone doesn't come in my store with the virus. I'm in Georgia, I-75 is literally across the street from my store. As each week goes by, my level of fear has grown.
I saw this mother and her kid coughing in the store and both made no effort to cover up their mouth. The ignorance out there is a big part of the problem.
I'm a server, this past weekend I had about 3 or four families. Come in coughing, sneezing and kids crying feeling sick. Like wtf are yall not watching the news? Why even take your kid out or yourselves to a restaurant if your sick? Smh they've already shut down all restaurants here in Dallas. Its sucks for alot of servers who rely on the income to live and pay bills.

Not necessarily, smoking builds up the inflammatory response (CRP) index and tolerance to foreign bodies. Smokers tend to fight respiratory illnesses better in my ED experience. Their lungs are use to fighting mucosal debris in the respiratory system. Weird, but true.

Years ago I thought I had testicular cancer, (turns out it was just a rash). But I was too scared to go to a doctor. Every time I looked at the rash, or thought about it a pain would shoot up from my upper leg to my testicle. When I finally sought help, and was told it was just a rash, it freed me, I never had that shooting pain again. And I realized my fears and anxieties had created the pain.

I know. Many times I've driven 95 interstate from NC to NJ and back. Tons of traffic. What I realized was the traffic is caused by drivers who keep trying to jump to the front of the line eventhough the merge signs were visible miles back. Same people don't folliw the stay at home orders. So this is like a seemingly infinite traffic jam. People keep breaking quarantine while the rest of us keep waiting.

This is not quarantine. And because we are not under actual quarantine we will continue to see a rise in cases. Just remember there are positive cases everywhere but they haven't been tested. They need to shut our country down for two weeks instead of dragging it out like this. It's putting a strain on our economy. Two weeks. Everything that isn't medically necessary needs to close. No going outside past the border of your yard. And watch how fast it gets under control.

watch some of the videos of people who definitely have it. they all have varying symptoms so the best thing you can do is really just stay at home in any case and seek care if shortness of breath occurs or if your fever is very high. there have been people with a tiny cough, persistent cough, no cough, mild fever, fever only at certain times, etc. i don't think there is uniform information at this point because it seems like the mild symptoms are so broad... but we do know the severe symptoms, the ones we should definitely be worried about, is shortness of breath, chest pain, and high fever.
I was just about to say the same thing... here in the U.S too, we mostly keep hearing that it’s NOT a productive cough... that it’s a DRY cough and not a wet cough and then this guy comes along and says the complete opposite!
Hey how about instead of having cars line up for hours to get tested. Why don’t we send a test packet to everybody by mail and then swab yourself then send it by mail to get the results?
There are not enough test kits to be sent out and the authorities are only testing people randomly. Sending them by mail (although very safe) is a slow process. The tests need to be taken at a medical facility so that they can be analyzed immediately and diagnosed. Time is of the essence.
Not only is it time but its quality of samples taken. Most arent trained to do it in the first place and the samples from performing the test on yourself 9 times out of 10 wont be that great
Not everyone can handle the test equipment properly so accuracy would be a huge concern. You also have to consider the extra people that would have to be employed to handle all that extra mail. Plus each household would have to have a kit for each person. We still haven't updated the decennial census so until that is done there is no way to know just how many kits to send to each house. It's a good idea in theory but too many variables to make it worth the cost.

She had a mortal fit when he said he wouldn't visit, and she is NOT to come here.
Many people that are really old are a lot like the people that are young. They think they know everything and are invincible. Young people are just ignorant cause they haven't lived long enough to know that bad things happen. For sure! Everyone should be able to test. But a semi good news is that babies and toddlers are low risk when it comes to this virus. It doesn't affect them like it affects who have other medical issues and the elderly.

Yes!! this comment right here. I have sob and body aches and was told I was low risk and didn't need to be tested. I work in a hospital and am constantly exposed to sick people. I told them I needed to be tested and it's a good thing I did because I'm feeling even worse now. I can't imagine how many people are told they don't need to be tested that possibly have the virus and then they go back to work or aren't being quarentined and possibly infect others. Yet these rich and famous people are getting tested when they are already self quarentining and don't have symptoms. They can afford to be out of work for a few weeks. If there not showing any symptoms then they should just self quarentinine and save the tests for the elderly and high risk individuals that need it.
Unfortunately, this virus will be hard to diagnose without a legitimate test. Most people will react differently to the virus, and display different symptoms when having the same exact virus as another person. Take your vitamins, and try to stay healthy everyone!
The flu symptoms are symptoms of the body's own defenses. When something entered or take in that are bad or virus, the body used these to expels or get it out of the body. It depends on how bad the stuffs that had entered or put in the body, that it would use these symptoms. These symptoms are just way to let us knows that something is seriously wrong. It does not identify what it is. It just tells how severe the dangers are. If the body invader is a known illness it can be identify by the name. The experts had already identified it and knows that it is part of a Coronnavirus family. It is a mutation of Coronnavirus family. The number 19 is it's identified name to differentiated it from the family of Coronnavirus. The number 19 is the year this virus was found. Tests done by the experts and if it can not be found in their list, they will give it a name. The experts was quick to find every thing they needs. They just have not yet found the right drug ingredients to create a drug to treat this virus.

Put me on mucinex dm and claritin. I really think people like me should be tested and not sent home to wait for the 6/7 day mark to have trouble breathing! Over 50. Not leaving home.
better call the doctor first , discuss with doctor , get instruction, use medication for symptoms. most importantly , stay home, if symptoms getting worse, like shortness breathing, very high fever. call the hospital first . let them know and follow instructions, don't just go to doctors office or ER without let them know first.
Same here. Day 5 of this. There was no way to test me because still dont have enough tests and I dont fit the criteria. Lungs were burning, horribly, around day two and three. Low grade fever. Going to the bathroom a Lot, which is a symptom not being talked about I guess. Was very tired with this stuff. I think before the cough started, exhaustion hit me the most about a week before I had a cough. Im still tired but feel like Im getting better. Im scared because I dont know what to expect from this. Doesnt help that I havent officially confirmed either. Im self isolating for two weeks from the onset of symptoms.
Adrianne M Early on I read about some people having diarrhea. I bought Imodium and electrolyte liquid and powder. I had bad diarrhea once and I don’t want to feel that way again. Good luck. 🍀 I hope you feel better soon.
If you are infected, you just endangered all the patients in your Doctor's waiting room, the Doctor and his staff. You're supposed to call first or use telemedicine. Whether the test is negative or positive, the treatment is the same whether it's COVID-19, the flu or the cold, it would be isolation, keep hydrated (chicken soup) and call for help if you have significant difficulties such as problems breathing. There isn't enough resources to test everyone and we're transitioning into the mitigation phase and during mitigation, resources are to be extended as much as possible. Testing is an absolute requirement for containment and simply to know what is happening but containment has obviously been broken which is always eventual and surveillance only needs a representative sample be tested. Now if we have full lockdown/quarantine, containment becomes important again as the lockdown and quarantine are slowly relaxed.

Early symptoms: Fever and cough. Later on may develop shortness of breath. May only develop symptoms 2-14 days after initial contact with virus. If in doubt go seek advice ie I take no personal responsibility for advice given here.
There is a new symptom mentioned in many articles - the loss of the sense of smell and taste. This happens early in the course of the disease. Not everyone develops all the symptoms, some have fever, but no cough. Some have stomach pain.
What I want to know specifically is how to tell you have it when you have asthma. I just had some wet coughing and while I'm getting used to asthma I still felt anxious about it. It hurt, but it stopped. It was morning so obviously that was "normal asthma" my lungs just clearing themselves out. When you're used to lung disease symptoms, what do you look for? When do you get checked out? Is it safe to use your emergency medication (albutrol) during covid 19? Am I just waiting for a fever? And is the treatment different with asthma if you get the virus?
I would say you need to take your regular meds, friend. I use Albuterol, and I would say, you must breathe, regardless of "the cooties". Best best is to call your medical doc. Well wishes!
L C In your case a sudden fever will be the obvious sign of a viral infection (Covid-19). Plus all the usual symptoms that come with a normal fever ie body aches, chills, weakness/tiredness. I wouldn’t be worried unless/until a fever sets in. Also I watched a YT video about asthma and coronavirus and the Dr said albuterol was ok to take as usual for asthma even if you were infected with Covid-19.

That's why it's called "the study of medicine." Everyone learns the same thing in school, and then has their own opinion. 😒 ...and it's ever evolving. It is very scary _at this time_ to not get a concise message out there. In addition to watching videos like these, I think *the most helpful advice is coming from ppl on RUclips who have it and who are vlogging their experience.* Let's rely on each other in addition to hearing out each doctors opinion, and not forget that they're on mainstream media, I'm sure they're briefed on what not to say, what will scare more ppl. To anyone reading this- Stay safe out there! 😷❤
It's not that. It's that there are many different symptoms and they don't all appear in all people. Some people with mild disease may not even develop cough. There is a new symptom mentioned now - the loss of the sense of smell and taste in some people early in the disease. This is a new disease. As it progresses, they learn more. So in addition to different experts mentioning different symptoms, an older video may have different information from newer videos because they have learned more.
Try to stay at home when you've got to spend hours searching for food and other provisions because the shelves are bare or you have to get your prescriptions filled every month because pharmacists have put restrictions on them.
Eclectic Muse The prescription thing is a big problem for me! I feel like it’s an ongoing battle to get my prescriptions when I can only get a month’s worth at a time, and they are all due at different times. Plus, the pharmacies make mistakes that you have to follow up on. They also think they know better than the doctor and won’t put scripts through. 🙄 Sad!
you are so right!!! You can't just run in and out of a supermarket or pharmacy, you have to spend all this time on lines where people are fairly close to each other and searching more than one store for lacking items, exposing yourself to more contacts. Also WHY are pharmacies closing earlier in the day? This forces more people into them over a shorter period of time, which causes more crowding. I like to go food shopping late in the evening when stores are empty. Isn't that healthier for everyone?? If you're trying to shorten workers' exposure time well then give them shorter shifts.

As far as I know I'd say with an allergy you are sneezing with Corona you are coffing. And a runny nose is actually pretty rare with Corona. I'd say the coffing is also in a way that you would not really expect to even be sick but it gets worse with time that's also how you can distinguish it from the flu. With the flu you useually feel pretty bad right from the beginning but with Corona it may come very slowly. But it is probably different for everyone as it is a new disease that still needs to adapt to the human Body. So you might have really strange symptoms but that's probably rare. Also fever acutally may not be as common as expected and around 70% of people say they experienced some kind of loss of their sense of smell/taste.

Funny, living in a smaller town, we have 6 or 7 stores. Walmart, Safeway, small mom and pop shops. All the stores are bare, they can't get enough to restock the shelves. It's gone within a few hours.
It could be their stocking/hoarding up for 6 months instead of 3 weeks. I heard somewhere that seniors should be prepared to be isolated for 3 months☹.
Think of your local grocery store as your food storage. Then you wouldn't need to hoard. If you get ill because of the virus, you won't feel like eating anyway.

I agree, others say their throat hurt like knives cutting into it. Sore throat or not?.. no mention in this video.
I agree. I have never heard anyone say a productive cough.
Either way, I always have a cough to varying degrees. This helps me zero much.
watch some of the videos of people who definitely have it. they all have varying symptoms so the best thing you can do is really just stay at home in any case and seek care if shortness of breath occurs or if your fever is very high. there have been people with a tiny cough, persistent cough, no cough, mild fever, fever only at certain times, etc. i don't think there is uniform information at this point because it seems like the mild symptoms are so broad... but we do know the severe symptoms, the ones we should definitely be worried about, is shortness of breath, chest pain, and high fever.
The Press is not really interested in helping us. The greater the panic, the greater their ratings and advertising income. The truth is that not everyone needs to be tested. www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

The number 19 is it's identified name to differentiated it from the family of Coronnavirus. The number 19 is the year this virus was found.

Heard its dry

@@tenamazona187 Yeah I noticed but other experts say constant dry cough so we don't know who to believe. Others say 60 and over not 50...I guess as long as you are not feeling short of breath, your lung is still working ok. That's the most scary part, both lungs gets clogged so oxygen must be provided.

@@mmnyc6441 even if you're short of breath you're still breathing okay, i have seasonal allergies and am short of breath, still did a fitness class, coronavirus is different fever tires you so much, hits without warning, no stuffy nose.
When your symptoms are not your usual symptoms
Do yourself a favor and ask a medical professional these questions please! They have 800 hot lines set up in each state. For the love of all that's good.. please please don't ask questions like this to you tube viewers. This person with the mint.. like whaaaat? Lord have mercy lol. Here have some garlic too smh. My friend.. you already have issues with lungs so call a hospital or the 800 line. Stay well. Not sure where you live but go sit in the Sunshine and just breathe. Don't trip. Everything will be ok. This too shall pass. Just breathe and if you can't.. I'd say get tested immediately. Much respect ~ Every little thing.. gonna be alright!

interesting how every "expert" has a completely different view of when people start showing symptoms, what symptoms there are, etc.
I agree. They also get sidetracked like this dude.
Brenden yeah it’s so messed up
Brenden ...you’ve probably already watched this... ruclips.net/video/dSfr-FxBfBw/видео.html

My concern is for the health care workers in hospitals who are legit exposed to this virus on a daily bases and then have go home to their families.
Nurses, doctors, CNA, EMT, caregivers and more at risk

@Nicolle Herr correct.
evillimp000 The answer is Fever!
Exactly!! A lot of this isn't making sense. I'm almost afraid to get a piece of food in my throat and choke to death for fear of the family being told it was Corona.

If you Google “purell”, you will get a group of online sources. Some offer alternatives to the brand name. But they contain over 60% alcohol. Staples had some also. Also go to “Gojo” on line.
Kitt3n Cake xx / you tube will tell you how to make your own...or buy rubber gloves..for wearing outdoors..
Kitt3n Cake our local beer distillers have converted to making hand sanitizer.
Make your own. 2/3 alcohol and 1/3 Aloe Vera gel. makes hand sanitizer I ran out of Aloe Vera Gel so I used the alcohol swab pads in my first aid kit. When I ran out of those,. I put alcohol in a spray bottle and use that to clean my hands. The alcohol dries out my hands, so i limit use to when I leave the house. I use hand lotion at night to moisturize them. Good luck.

Hello how are you doing 👋😀☺️
at my salon we have been taking all precautions and measuring the temperatures of all of our clients coming in, we recently upgraded our temperature scanner with a automated system from thermosignal.com so we don’t have to have someone dedicated scanning temperatures, it’s saving us a lot of time. we will get through this.
