What was THAT!? Did this game just become a horror game?
After a long journey and many hours invested in this hack, the sequel to Ultra Kaizo World is finally done. The game features custom music, ASM, boss fights, and custom color palettes.
The levels are challenging, and the hack explores new techniques and setups while also employing maneuvers familiar to Kaizo players. Of course this game also includes the occasional troll, do not be surprised. You have been warned.

I love how Invictus and GPW2 have changed the rom hack landscape. Instant restart, small doses of chocolate, tighter themed levels, puzzle type nontraditional levels and narrative storytelling are all welcome additions.
Yeah this hack is like GPW2 and Invictus had a baby that is a bit less beautiful and smart than they are. But still awesome!
Yep, Invictus and GPW2 forever changed the rom hacking landscape. Not to bland like the original Kaizos or Dram worlds (Except kaizo 3) but not too chocolate like JUMP, Storks/Apes/Crocs, and literally anything by TEAM DICKS. I do feel like Invictus got overshadowed a bit by GPW2 coming out like 2 months later, i still remember Dode saying Invictus was the best hack he'd ever played.
I still dont get why people like only small doses of chocolate and not super chocolate hacks
@@divyanshuanand1721 Probably because people like SMW so much, and the more chocolate there is, the less familiar it seems. Also chocolate usually adds cool new tricks, but reduces the amount of new creative twists on old mechanics. Personally I like a good balance of both.

The monster is actually Koopa the Quick, his shell dyed red from blood of all other Koopas. After Mario left him abandoned on Tiny Huge Island, driven mad by failure, he had resorted to cannibalism to survive on the isolated island. By the time the rescue expedition arrived, he was completely gone and ate all the other Koopas on the island, and had to be locked in that hidden cell for safety of Koopakind.
Nice lore but you forgot to mention how a creature so powerful was locked away. Could it have been the power of the seven stars?
@@Ssssssnakeisone I would lean towards Power Moons, as you see 3 Up Moons (which are probably the same as Power Moons) in several locations of the island.
Regardless, even with that power, it still took lives of many brave Koopas whose bones you see. In fact, everything implies they were locked inside the basement with the creature. Hear that knocking on the door in first room? But there's noone left alive to knock, and the monster starts far away from the door.
Who do you think, pray tell, was knocking? Perhaps restless souls of those devoured tried to warn Mario of their fate.

as a little kid that, the jumpscares in that game were real. Esp in the wonky first person areas.
That sound after going through door in the first level is sound the Regenerators make from Resident Evil 4 and if you haven't ever seen them, trust me they are scary.
The most terrifying enemy type in RE and probably horror games in general.

@@stickacus610 To the point almost all games afterwards have a regenerator ripoff enemy. Especially annoying in 6th game, since you cannot kill them and they have instakill move.

So far the best banger of any rom hack Poo's played is from Super Sheffy World (1 or 2, I can't remember). It was from some super obscure JRPG called The Last Bible 3. Track is called something like "Devil's Forest".

Love watching you and ryu playthru this hack. If it wasn’t for all the blind setups it would be right there with invictus and gpw 1&2.
I agree that this game is missing a few blue coins, but GPW2 and Invictus had difficulty spikes and blind setups too (Absolute Power in Invictus and Laser Lifts in GPW2). I still think this game is in the hall fo fame.
@@pianoforte611 what’s blind in Laser Lifts? I think with one more small revision this one would be pretty damn high on the list. Not to GPW2 or Invictus but close. It’s up there for sure.
GPW2 has blind jumps basically everywhere, and in all vertical levels, the camera does not scroll up fast enough so it's even more blind.

I agree with GPB when he says "hard is one thing, fair is another". you can make an extremely hard level that almost no one can beat, but if you make it fair, most are gonna keep trying to beat it and have fun doing it... if you dont make it fair the level then becomes a chore or a job to beat to move on in the game and then becomes boring to play. I think this is the main reason some games dont get finished. someone gets stuck at some difficult part or section and get bored with it.

If you notice in the auto scroller all the actions or right now moments (timed tricks) happened when the jump or action was dead center of the screen. It had a decent flow. This hack has the ability to be the Warpies #1 hack this year if not at least top 3.
