+J20E09 Did you lot win the world cup in 1966? It's weird that nobody ever mentions it. What are you on about you've had top class players consistently. From the late 80's early 90's there was Bryan Robson, Lineker, Gascoigne, Barnes etc. You've also had Seamen, Scholes, Shearer, Sheringham, Cole, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand, Neville and even Michael Owen (a former Ballon d'Or winner).
Its obvious Ibrah and Mkhitariyan to United maybe possibly Pogba.. Gundogan to City old but big transfer, Juve picking up Dani Alves, Hummel's to Bayern, Xhaka to Arsenal, Feghouli to West Ham, and Morata back to Real... Not much but Summer transfer isn't over so still some big transfers could go down
Venom 720 I kinda meant his thoughts and what impact certain players will have on their new clubs, obviously we all know what the transfers are. Let's just hope he doesn't waffle on about West Ham the whole time.
Apparently all the credentials you need to get one of the highest paying jobs in football are: -Media banter -Sense of humour -Finishing like 11th with Bolton 400 years ago -Saving Sunderland from relegation while the teams below you are self-destructing anyway -An average win ratio of 39% across your entire managerial career. LITERALLY failure. YE'RE GOING TO WIN THE WORLD CUP LADS!!!!!!
The platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus), also known as the duck-billed platypus, is a semiaquatic egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia, including Tasmania. But Klinsmann reformed the team, gave it new team spirit and inserted new training methods and tactics. So he's a great manager to bulid up something new, what England needs to do desperately. If so many managers fail at a world class national team manager spot, you should question more the system then the managers. Also Klinsmann is very loyal to himself and doesn't care if anyone shouts inbetween, because he makes also difficult decisions like putting Lehmann 2006 in goal for Germany instead of Kahn (An outrage at this time, but Lehmann saved two penalties against Argentinia.). And Klinsmann build the fundament to the world cup triumph 2014. He inserted players like Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Podolski to the team. So I think you lost a big oppurtunity to rebulid and reform your national team and the FA.
Ask any American that follows football and I'm sure they'll all disagree with you. He hasn't done anything special for them. Just look at one of Jimmy Conrad's rants about him. Not saying you're wrong or anything btw

I don't give a crap about our National Team anymore...even worse is that they've taken our man to change my club's ways. It's just typical that my team finally see the way and it's been snatched away from us. (Sunderland)
But why? Us Sunderland fans have had to put with this for four seasons in a row...in the end the deserved victors to stay up. All we wanted was a dull season (Mid-table)
Nothing to do with rivalry here, but from the outside it doesn't look like you'll avoid a relegation scrap with other clubs signing players with the new money. Thought yous would've at least tied up M'vila permanently. Honestly hope you stay up though, I cant go two years without a derby.
I'm glad that you mentioned about his time at Bolton because a lot of football fans forget about how good Bolton were back in the day under Big Sam. This was by far his most successful at any club, maybe West Ham as well. Since he left Bolton they went on a downward spiral for the last decade.
Why are they 'not good'? They underperformed massively at the Euros and played dreadful, I'll accept that, but I think they are a good team. Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy were the two top goal scorers in the premier league this season, ahead of players like Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Aguero. Maybe the midfield may need a bit of rearranging (e.g get Noble in there) but I honestly think that the majority of the team is above average. Just my opinion :)
+Oliver Grant "above average" won't win you any trophies. yes they have a good enough squad to qualify for euros and wc reach the knockout stage but that's about it
+Oliver Grant I should say not good compared to what English fans expect of them. They are no where near good enough to make it to the semis or quarters of major tournaments based on skill. And all the English fans are expecting a title. It's gonna take a lot of luck to win a euro or a World Cup.
Dead right Spen-dogg. Every word is spot on. Big Sam has the ability to make poor teams average, and average teams pretty good. Which is the area England are at the moment, for some reason this curse has caused us to be very poor. All we want is an average tournament, and that should be what Big Sam provides, particularly, he won't be afraid to call up some players from 'lesser' teams... Such as Antonio, Drinkwater, Noble, Carroll, Shawcross... etc. - Players who deserve their spots, but don't get it because they don't play for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs or the Manchesters. I think a solid appointment.
I agree Spen, in your last vid I said England were a team without a system. Big Sam will give us a system. At the end of the day no ones expecting much from us, so let's go back to basics. Sam will make us hard to beat which currently is exactly what you need, it's no good playing well but not winning(look at Arsenal). He'll deploy actual tactics for specific matches, we'd have never conceded that throw in goal against Iceland with Sam in charge. The thing I like the most about sam is his passion, he'll make the players pumped to play well. But equally, if a players playing awfully like Harry Kane was, he won't be afraid to take him off. I personally am very happy with this appointment!
Samuel Keenan True. Hodgson didn't even have a style of football,he had no tactics at all. I don't think he'll do worse than Hodgson, but I'll back the guy.
+Alex George big sam is completely opposite to Roy Hodgson, believe me, I'm a Liverpool fan. I'd have preferred Sam to Roy when he came to Liverpool, because he's so motivational, defensively organised, and generally a nice bloke. Roy is a lazy manager, with no man management skills, and no fucking tactics, so you may as well have stuck anyone in charge of England.
+K17 CAFC But he will give us an identity which is the key thing where missing and IMO I could do a better job than hodgson he chose an inexperienced rashford over an Inform experienced Defoe
he played for my grandfather's area team back in the day, my grandfather was the one who told him to go to the bolton trial (he was originally going to go out with friends lol). I got told a story about how he broke a crossbar (they used to be wooden) back in the day, pretty crazy :D
I think spen Laurent Blanc would have been a great manager for England my reasons are that he has won cups with PSG and he has worked with big players Sothing he wouldn't need to struggle with
Fair and reasoned analysis. You've just upped my confidence in the Big S. Let's see how he does in qualifying before judging him, and I agree that just winning a couple of knockout games - even dare I say it, on penalties - would be a coup for England. Cheers Spencer. Craig
Englands problem isnt at the managerial level, its at the player level. After all these years and after all these managers the one constant is THE PLAYERS ARENT PERFORMING to their own potential because you do have players who could do great things but something about them playing on the English team with a team of only English players makes them seem amateur at best. You see players like Kane put on an astronomical performance playing for Tottenham but thats because he's surrounded by many foreign players who bring a different mentality or style of play to the table. Its like they say,if everyone you meet is an asshole, maybe its you.Same with the English teams,if after each tournament and manager they continue to fail, then its not the manager's fault, but the players
I wouldn't say you can blame the Spurs players for our failure at the Euros. They played almost every game in the season and were, ultimately, drained. No-one can deny that Kane is the best striker that Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich could have. Young and a prolific goalscorer. 20+ goals in the past two seasons. I'd like to see anyone say that there is a better striker than Harry Kane under 25.
ProjectFut im not blaming specific players,im saying that England has great players but they cant play together,Harry Kane is a beast and has the stats to back it up
there was no logic in this comment. Trust me I'm a genius. what you have said about foreign players bringing out the best in people is just dumb. People are people, it doesn't matter where you are from. There is a lack of chemistry between the current England side, but its not because they are "English". Its because of the people they are. It could also be the mangers not getting the best out of them, you cannot dismiss this possibility. I rate your comment a 1/10.
Stan Broastman the fact that you dismiss the possibility of players who've played in different leagues with countless other players who've played in different leagues bringing different styles and a different mentality to a player who's young and quite inexperienced in the grand scheme of the sport is bizarre and you should stop commenting all together. The manager has a limited effect on the team,he can bring forth different strategies for whatever the situation calls for BUT if the players cannot carry out the sole purpose of their existence is not the managers fault,if the player doesnt show up to training and when he does he fucks around, its not the managers fault
at first I thought big Sam wouldn't be so good as England manager but then when you explained that he's someone who always achieves his clubs target it made me think that he should do well as England manager
Some times Spence you really speak the truth. When I think of Big Sam playing to the strengths of his players, my mind went immediately to Jay Jay and Djorkaeff playing as inside attacking midfielders, got them to 6th two seasons running....then you said exactly that.
IMO the big thing that we need to see from an England manager is the ability to stand up to the FA and the big clubs and pick players based on how they have performed throughout the season, not pick them based on the badge on their t-shirt. The Euros was a prime example of yet again the FA and the England management picking players not based on ability rather name and club as the primary basis for the job. All in all however I believe Big Sam is a great choice as England manager considering the options and I can't wait to see him in action p.s. Love the videos Spencer keep it up!
England fans don't understand. They aren't anywhere near the level of France, Germany, Spain, Portugal etc. They got beaten by the better team in Iceland
The equation has, in the summation, the range of t as 1 to pi which is incorrect notation so the expression is invalid. The number sitting at the top should be an integer. Looks like just random numbers and letters thrown together
Absolutely spot on analysis. If he gets England to where they should be that's great, and he can do that. Then once he's instilled a good culture of hard work and humility in the team he can make way for a better manager (perhaps even Eddie Howe in the future) that can perhaps go for glory, the way West Ham have done in now appointing Bilic. This is the best managerial appointment for England since Kevin Keegan.
I'd of liked Klingsmann tbh, he started the Golden generation in Germany, and although he maybe inconsistent as you say you can't argue you are miles better with him as your manager? He's turned you from a laughing stock to an actual respected team
+Joel Hunter yes but last year we got knocked out of the North American cup (Gold Cup) by Jamaica. And it was because he didn't pick the right players. We have a player Julian green who scored with his first touch of a ball in a World Cup against Belgium, but he hasn't been brought back. I just feel like he used to be better than he is now. He's good, but he took us from having good players playing incorrectly in the wrong places, to just a team that knows how to play. I'm not sure how he would do for England though.
+Tinytorres0606 that doesn't meant Julian green is a scoring machine or a maestro with the ball. he brought some youth to the copa100 and they did what they could. the us would never in a lifetime beat Argentina especially one with messi
+Tinytorres0606 it could be worse you could get knocked out by Iceland haha, but let's compare that with the World Cup in 2014 you overachieved massively, and this year you got to the Semis in the Copa? I think that Gold cup defeat can be forgiven in all honesty. But it doesn't matter now because Big Sam is in charge, and would you like another manager for the US and if so who would you like?
+Joel Hunter honestly if we are realistic, nobody will take the job because they still feel like we are useless in the footballing world. Now that you say that, I don't really think I would replace him. I feel more optimistic about us. I hope Big Sam does the same for you in England. I'll be rooting for you guys in Russia 2018. Thank you for your response.
England don't have talent....they rarely do...sometimes there is a Scholes or a Lampard...but pure talent...like some Brazilians, or Spanish, or French, or German, or Portuguese, or Dutch, or Argentinian, etc,...(even Wales have a pure talented guy in there team)....they don't have...and for that reason they can't play posession, preety, offensive style football...or they will never win anything... If they want a shot a anything....they need to play ugly football... I'm talking about lumping the ball to a big man upfront a he knuts it in....that is the English way...that should be the only way... Don't try to piss about about with technnical abilities...because your players have nothing in that departement...FACT! And BIg Sam should know that...that is why he is the BEST POSSIBLE CHOICE!!!
I like Big Sam as an appointment he has an awful lot of positives that people overlook. Never been relegated from the premier league, took Bolton from the championship to Europe on merit of league position, seamlessly integrated sports science into his own management style. I know people will say it'll just be the long ball game but I am telling you now while he does use it, it isn't his main way to set up tactically. He sets his team out to beat who they playing against. Big Sam will make us a more rounded team that actually have a game plan in place as well as an option b just incase that's not working. And before I get called a Sunderland or Bolton fan I'm actually a man United fan. Just appreciate good managers
I wanted Glen Hoddle but having listened to your thoughts on Sam and your personal experience as a Hammer watching his teams week in and week out you've convinced me that from the choices the FA had, Big Sam may just about have been the best choice.
I saw you get that shirt on your other channel as a PO box gift, but I'm wondering if you have any idea as to where I might be able to purchase it from?
As a Portugal fan I think Big Sam is simular to Fernando Santos. Santos took over Portugal after a poor World Cup and terrible start to the Euro qualifiers. He had done a decent job with Greece, but not really known for his pretty football. He organised our defence, and then relied on individual quality by the likes of Ronaldo and Nani to win us games. And it won us the Euros. Santos made us play the football he always has played with his teams, but this time he had better players and it worked out. I think Big Sam could do the same with England.
Sam is easily the best English manager option we have. Regularly does well at the top level of football, knows the English players well, plays form players over big names, builds solid defences, motivates everyone in his team and doesn't take shit from anyone. Also Spencer, this could finally be your chance to see Mark Noble in the England team so I can see why you're pleased.
I agree with what you said Spen, I understand the negatives everybody is saying but he also brings positives as you said. He will also give more players call-ups that deserve them, rather than going for the 'big team' players.
Hey Spen! I'm doing an indicator on competitiveness in major football leagues, and I was curious when you said Premier League is the most competitive. What do you mean by that? What makes it the first?
+Spencer FC spot on about the success of jobs he did at all of his premier league clubs. As a 17 year old blackburn fan, I was really annoyed when we sacked him and as a result, we got relegated and haven't come back up since.
I completely agree if you watched Sunderland towards the end of the season they actually started playing decent football and nice counter attacking football also he knows how to utilise players like van annholt and doing that really helped Sunderland stay up
England needs a Bielsa revolution like my country Chile, he changed our mind and changed how to compete at a high level against top teams around the globe, and now we believe in ourselves. I love premier league and good luck to Allardyce. Greetings from Chile!!!
Spence i totally agree with you especially with your points on Mourinho, Guardiola not wanting the job, why would they take over a team who just got knocked out by Iceland and with all the pressure from the English pressure as well. Whoever takes the job from now and the future are doomed due to the unrealistic pressure and targets set for them by the fans and the media.

Sam Allardyce is pretty much Hodgson 2.0. Can't see him doing much better TBH.
he has the ability to. motivate players and he usually has a style of play he sticks to, not like hodgson at all
Samuel Keenan True. Hodgson didn't even have a style of football,he had no tactics at all. I don't think he'll do worse than Hodgson, but I'll back the guy.
I like him better then Hodgson but I don't see a big change for England either
+Alex George big sam is completely opposite to Roy Hodgson, believe me, I'm a Liverpool fan. I'd have preferred Sam to Roy when he came to Liverpool, because he's so motivational, defensively organised, and generally a nice bloke. Roy is a lazy manager, with no man management skills, and no fucking tactics, so you may as well have stuck anyone in charge of England.
jack wilshire has spoken
This was a lucky escape Sam Allardyce s style of football urgh
I thought England wanted to do better in tournaments... Why the fuck would you appoint him?
Watch video
+james mottershead I have but I'm sorry he will barely do better than Hodgson did!
+K17 CAFC But he will give us an identity which is the key thing where missing and IMO I could do a better job than hodgson he chose an inexperienced rashford over an Inform experienced Defoe
+BlackGuyFrom Starwars Rashford performed though...
+K17 CAFC agreed mate. I posted a comment, very long one just now, please look, I feel I have some good points
I love these IMOs! They are awesome at keeping me up to date on England's news and feelings about them. P.S I live in U.S.
he played for my grandfather's area team back in the day, my grandfather was the one who told him to go to the bolton trial (he was originally going to go out with friends lol). I got told a story about how he broke a crossbar (they used to be wooden) back in the day, pretty crazy :D
im happy with big Sam as are new manager
Same
same
I would have liked to have seen a young manager like Shearer or even Ferdinand with Redknapp helping them. Not big Sam ffs
They don't/ barley have any experience...Redknapp wouldn't help that.
Or just redknapp?
Shearer and Ferdinand young?
+Lamby10 Ferdinand is in his 30s... Shearer isn't too much older ether you goon
don't you remember what shearer did at Newcastle?
I think spen Laurent Blanc would have been a great manager for England my reasons are that he has won cups with PSG and he has worked with big players Sothing he wouldn't need to struggle with
Fair and reasoned analysis. You've just upped my confidence in the Big S.
Let's see how he does in qualifying before judging him, and I agree that just winning a couple of knockout games - even dare I say it, on penalties - would be a coup for England.
Cheers Spencer.
Craig
Very well said, Spen!
100% agree with everything you said.
But HODGSON is an IDIOT
Alright mate, how you doing
I'm good thanks
Only lasted 1 game😂
at first I thought big Sam wouldn't be so good as England manager but then when you explained that he's someone who always achieves his clubs target it made me think that he should do well as England manager
You hit the nail on the head there! You're spot on, nice to see a West Ham speaking fairly of him really
he lasted long didn’t he
I feel bad 4-1 one of the teams that played today I think it was Man U
Who's watching when big Sam coaching Crystal Palace
Fraser Robbo Who's watching when Big Sam is Everton manager 😂
Rasmus now's he's gone 😂
All in all however I believe Big Sam is a great choice as England manager considering the options and I can't wait to see him in action
p.s. Love the videos Spencer keep it up!
Love the dog mask with the Hashtag United kit in the background lol
Can someone explain to me why Pep Guardiola is one of the "best managers"?
because he is one of Barcelona's most successful manager
+Gabe Menuel managers
guardiola is the best manager.
Oh wow he won things with the best team in the world, then won things in Germany with the best team in Germany. What an amazing manager!
+The Myth ikr just because of his footballing career he was thrown into the greatest teams where its really hard to fail
I'm early so I'll think of a joke...
What's the difference between a bag of tea and England?
A bag of tea lasts longer in a cup
😂😂😂😂
such a old joke
This jokes new
i heard it when the world cup 2014 was on
+DominatorIC you're such a negative person on every comment like gtfo
here's a joke
England: Winner of the WC 2018 ☺
You never know
Holy shit that's sooooo funny just like everything else in the comments
Even funnier: England qualifying for WC 2018
if only FIFA wasnt corrupt and Russia dont use drugs
Niall okk Lmao
love the video Spencer, Sam plays to a system and thats one of the things we really lacked in the Euros.
Lovely shirt literally spent all video trying to work it out 😂 love it
Oi! What are you doing here? Go help that settlement I assigned you to.
Dead Game now imo.
+RoyalxAndy console it's is but PC it's not
Preston seriously, get out of my life !!!
Fuck off 😂😂
England fans don't understand. They aren't anywhere near the level of France, Germany, Spain, Portugal etc. They got beaten by the better team in Iceland
Cos of hart
Spain?
+Jami jam89 cuz of hart? hahaha, blame the keeper.. like if u could stop the shots.. only the one for Icelands 2nd goal.. that was unacceptable
Spain, is kinda bad now.. no offense
+Troopz and? That means nothing. Football is a team game
ANYONE GOOD AT MATHS? IF SO CAN ANYONE WORK OUT THE ANSWER TO THE EQUATION ON HIS SHIRT?!
The equation has, in the summation, the range of t as 1 to pi which is incorrect notation so the expression is invalid. The number sitting at the top should be an integer. Looks like just random numbers and letters thrown together
it just says payet > zizou (zidane)
Best England manager ever 100% win record
Absolutely spot on analysis. If he gets England to where they should be that's great, and he can do that. Then once he's instilled a good culture of hard work and humility in the team he can make way for a better manager (perhaps even Eddie Howe in the future) that can perhaps go for glory, the way West Ham have done in now appointing Bilic. This is the best managerial appointment for England since Kevin Keegan.
I'd say big Sam was a good choice. Better than Juergen Klinsman. I'm American and he is just too inconsistent for my liking.
Let's play Canadian roulette
Every like lives
João Constantino coming home
@João Constantino
This comment did not age well.
Big Sam was a coach in the Ireland league 2 up the road from my house at limerick fc
4:41 to the end... It it just my'n or is it out of sync for everyone?
take out Rooney, Henderson, Milner and sterling as they are trash.
trash uno
And Jack Wheelchair also.
Milner?
I agree but Milner should stay in
Did you see Rooney at the euros, he was one of England's best players
I am really happy about big Sam being our manager. We now have a chance of getting somewhere!
Comgrats spen on 1.5 million subs
I wanted Glen Hoddle but having listened to your thoughts on Sam and your personal experience as a Hammer watching his teams week in and week out you've convinced me that from the choices the FA had, Big Sam may just about have been the best choice.
Joey wearing the hashstag kit killed me 😂😂😂😂😂😂
you are the best fifa youtuber I have ever watched
please do an IMO of the transfer window so far for certain teams
can u do a transfer window mid point to give us your opinion on the transfers so far
What is written on the T-shirt?
I think Payet> Zidane
Spen, you make everything bad feel good!
IMO are one of my favorite series in this channel....
Congrats on 1.5 million subs
Cracking appointment. Worked wonders at Bolton. Europe with that squad!
Andy Carroll is waiting for that England call up xD
Spencer you should be the England Manager! Great video!
Spot on Spencer. Couldn't agree more.
the fa were looking at wenger too
Sam is easily the best English manager option we have. Regularly does well at the top level of football, knows the English players well, plays form players over big names, builds solid defences, motivates everyone in his team and doesn't take shit from anyone. Also Spencer, this could finally be your chance to see Mark Noble in the England team so I can see why you're pleased.
what did he say between 7:01 and 7:05? jay jay okocha and ???
Wow, great opinion! I was disagreeing with Big Sam but now I am quite confident
Very happy with appointment :)
I agree with what you said Spen, I understand the negatives everybody is saying but he also brings positives as you said. He will also give more players call-ups that deserve them, rather than going for the 'big team' players.
The doge head on the hashtag kit is on point
Love the kit stand
Bolton made big Sam and me as a Bolton fan has the most respect for him. He always delivers and that's what we need.
Great vid spen
I completely agree if you watched Sunderland towards the end of the season they actually started playing decent football and nice counter attacking football also he knows how to utilise players like van annholt and doing that really helped Sunderland stay up
Spot on🙌
England needs a Bielsa revolution like my country Chile, he changed our mind and changed how to compete at a high level against top teams around the globe, and now we believe in ourselves.
