Hello, thank you for making this comparison between the Sony 85 1.8 and the Sony 85 1.4 GM. I have the 24 GM, 35 GM and the 50 1.4 GM. I also have the 85 1.8 but I hesitate to upgrade to the 85 gm2 for the weight and the thread (67 to 77...arrrrgh possible adaptation??). And when I compare my 50 1.4 GM and my Sony 85 1.8, I do not find a huge difference in sharpness. What do you think? Sorry if my English is not clear
@@TD-rw7nb I believe there’s a sharpness difference for sure especially if shot wide open at f1.8 compared to the new GM2 lens at 1.8. The weight difference isn’t major but I understand if size and weight is a major factor. For me it was worth it for the AF improvements. Also sharpness at wide open

@AlbeeVisuals Thank you for your reply. Have you bought 77mn filters or have you tried the 67mn with a ring?
@ yeah I’m using 67 filters with step up rings. No vignetting issues, especially since 85 is a tight focal length
