You guys should watch attack on titan
Okay stop the Coulson jokes though. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is no longer considered canon so he’s dead.
Should let Jen watch Agents of Shield just to give her a closure
Is everything a fish with Jen? 😂
Much better when the people watching it actually like it. Still loved matt watching it though.

I didn't realize how evil Loki was until he scares Holden's pup.
Tbh the ongoing theory, given how he was not "full evil" until now (with the destroyer he was just desperate) and already in Thor 2 he returned to asshole but not evil and then he became borderline good, is that he was mind cobtrolled through the scepter like everyone else.
Corollary of that is that he fought off the control a bit and purposefully made up a faulty plan and let Selvig botch the portal.

The irony of liking the mini war between captain america and iron man is fucking amazing lol
Yeah the comics had the same antagonism. Tony's dad always mentioning to him "Why cant you be like that war hero i worked with in WWII, and Tony rolling his eyes going "Oh, good god, HIM again?" They have very different ways of approaching things, two polar opposite personalities but when push comes to shove, they kick so much more ass together and its awesome!

Not canon I believe?
@@anjaneyasreetrout2444 It is cannon it connects with the intro of Age of Ultron.
@@jonathancunningham8739
The only reason it was canon to Age of Ultron was because of Joss Whedon. He is an executive producer to the show while the other directors and Kevin Feigi simply ignored the show. If Joss Whedon was the director for Infinity War then he’ll someway connect Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the movie.

Coulson is the real hero of this movie. Jenn : i like the Mini War between Cap and IronMan. oh do you Jenn do you really ?
I think Jen will come to at least appreciate Captain America more in his later movies, as you see his outlook/personality change somewhat, due to the world around him having changed
True I got into Cap more from Winter Solider
@@littlesparrow303 it was around Winter Soldier that Cap became my favorite I think in the first avenger and especially in avengers he was too “goly gee” for my taste
That's why this series so great. I appreciate pretty much everyone better in the later movies
Seems that Jen likes seeing the growth arc of a character within the single movie. What's cool about Cap is that he grows and changes throughout the entire series, but never really changes his morals and values.
It's not the fact that the world around him changed, it's the fact that the directors changed. He didn't grow on me until the Russo Brothers got ahold of him. Until that point, he was TOO much of a boy scout. They went overboard with it. The Russos made him more realistic and relatable, much more like his comic counterpart.
Clark Gregg was told that Coulson was "The Glue" that holds The Avengers together. Also Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is worth the watch

When avengers came out in 2012. I was 11 and watching it as a kid who loves captain America and Iron man was amazing. I like the color grading on this because it's not de-saturated
The force IS STRONG with these two.
Seeing Avengers for the first time was incredible for me. My brother and I grew up watching the superheros on tv and loving them, so seeing the characters and even things like the Helicarrier and the Avengers Tower was so amazing for us. But even more, being able to sit next to our younger siblings, and introduce them to the heroes we loved so much and watching them fall in love? Best part of the experience.
I remember when this came out I was blown away. Little did I know it was only the beginning!
Favorite part of most of my GF watches is the "I cant tell you " part. Gets me all the time

For all agent coulson fans I think the agents of shield tv show is really good. Although the first half of season 1 is very cw-ish but once it ties to the events of captain america 2 it really gets awesome, same for the cgi that grows to become almost movie like in later seasons.

Avengers is easily a 9+ for me. I've rewatched it so many times. Knowing what comes down the line doesn't change that for me; those just maybe push it out of the top 3 slot for me, because hot damn, Marvel kept finding a way to make movies in a way I never thought movies could be (and pushing that bar again and again and so far by the last few big ones).

Went into this MCU knowing nothing about these characters, and 1 by 1 each film got me more and more pumped to see more movies.
I remember going into this theater not expecting anything, earliest screening I could grab tickets for, and... yeah, my theater gave it a standing ovation.
Feels so weird that this was the start of this cinematic insanity. Feels even weirder that the public isn't tired of these films! But I guess with how long we, as nerds, were told comics (as well as our other forms of media) were a waste of time, we're going to hold onto it as long as we can.
I got into the Marvel movies sometime in late 2013/early 2014, before Winter Soldier, and I don't really remember how I felt the first time I watched The Avengers, but I've watched it enough times that I have memorized a lot of the dialogue, and I can still pick up on parts I missed occasionally. So I think it's a really great, rewatchable movie, and it holds up even for people without a lot of comic knowledge. And because it's so rewatchable, it's fun for me to watch people react to it for the first time, especially when they have someone like you, Holden, who is excited about showing off something you enjoy, and when they get to go through the journey that other fans have experienced over the last decade. I loved seeing Matt grow to love the movies and characters, and Jen's reactions are just as fun for me to watch, especially since she shares a lot of my opinions.
I think The Avengers truly kicked off a lot of team-up and crossover movies and shows because of how successful it was. Iron Man was the start of the MCU, and rightfully deserves praise for kicking it off, but I really think the MCU continued the way it did because they successfully pulled off this movie. If The Avengers had failed to bring all of these characters together, they might not have continued with Phase 2 and beyond the way they did, bringing in new characters, continuing to make new team-ups, and slowly introducing You-Know-Who for Infinity War. They easily could have decided to continue with individual movies the way they had been, or just stopped making Marvel movies for a while, and instead, the MCU is still going strong with more than 20 movies, multiple TV shows, and years more on the way. And we definitely would not have just sat through 8 weeks of WandaVision, and 2 out of 6 weeks for Falcon and the Winter Soldier so far, with just as much interest in the characters now as when they were first introduced, without The Avengers being successful.
By the way, I can't wait to see the rest of everyone's WandaVision reactions, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and when Jen gets to see the rest of the MCU, and the show that comes after FatWS (I don't want to spoil that for her if she doesn't know about it happening yet).

I love how Jen points out Cap not looking behind the scenes or questioning things...it really shows how much Cap and Tony became like each other by Endgame.
Tony became the guy to "make the sacrifice play".
Loved the reaction, hope not every one had to endure 6 ad breaks though. Holden, i think you should let Jen watch the first episode of Agents of Shield (doesn't have to be a video) and then let her decide if she wants to watch more of it. Also there are the Marvel One-Shots "The Consultant", "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thors Hammer", "Item 47", "Agent Carter" and "All Hail The King", which I think she would like and are short enough to watch on the side (And she can see a bit more of Coulson before his death). I think this could be perfectly placed after Iron Man 3.
I am excited for Jen! She is in for some sweet sweet cinematic moments to come! It literally only goes up from here...I know some feel differently about certain upcoming MCU films but still think they are all pretty damn fun in their own right.

Dafuckk, compatible with Asgardian magic?? Wich issues from the comics did you read because in the mcu it is never like that, but Thor said that Magic and science are the same wich is true in some form but that isn't what he meant.
@@anouar3194 nowhere in the comics, but based on the blurred lines between science and magic that they’ve established with that dialogue and the fact that Tony’s suit was at 400% capacity after getting hit with Thor’s thunder, I’d argue that it is like that in the MCU.
Another example of Asgardian magic being extremely advanced science is where Jane Foster figures out that the “soul forge” the in Thor: The Dark World is actually just a quantum field generator.
By the time infinity war happens, Tony practically achieves this feat (of tech so good it would be considered magical to a more primitive being) by creating a nanotech suit that can mold to/create whatever he’s thinking. I know there’s no comic issue to back this up, but there’s plenty of evidence in the MCU supporting it.
Darth Vader...Loki...Jen has a dark side. And I LOVE IT! haha. She likes the characters I draw to...speaks to my dark side as well. lol. Great video! PS, love the dogs chillin in the back like they got something to say too.😅
Let's just apprieacte how hard holden is grinding to put these videos out
Love it when Holden looks at the camera when he knows something that she doesn’t in future marvel movies 😂
When I rate movies, I rate them against my expectations. I suppose we all do to an extent but what I mean is rate it according to what it's supposed to be. It's an action movie with lots of spectacle and some good writing ,directing and acting. It's also high fantasy with lots of supporting canon. So the writers are in a sandbox with some limitations. At least at this phase.
I remember opening night and being there at the theatre for the early Thursday midnight showing with my son. And I remember leaving with a huge smile and feeling like I was a kid again.
So this one gets a 10 for me. I honestly don't know how it could have been much better for checking off all the boxes.
Holden, I don't know how much you've seen of Agents of SHIELD, but obviously by the winks you know it exists lol. Once you get to the end of S1, it's a fantastic show. 😁
Love that you guys completed Phase 1. Can't wait to see Jen's reactions in Phase 2.
Okay, not defending Whedon here at all, but he is not the costume designer. Natasha's tight pants would have required studio approval and she wasn't exactly wearing baggy sweaters in Iron Man 2. Also, an argument could be made the reason you like her more in this film could most likely be partially attributed to Whedon himself. He also didn't invent the "butt shot" either, and I am not convinced that those shots you pinpointed would have been any different with a male character. Where was the outrage at the close up of Chris Hemsworth's "v" and abs in Thor or Chris Evans' pecs in Cap? Not hearing any comments about Johnston or Branagh's direction. Whedon is, by many accounts, an asshole, a philanderer, a verbally abusive boss, and perhaps a misogynist. Let's keep in mind here that some of the accusers may have had personal axes to grind so that is not evidence nor conviction. This is merely a pattern of behavior that supports the narrative of his accusers. I feel like people may be letting their newfound distaste for his character to be leading to unfair and biased scrutiny of his work. Scrutiny not paid to his contemporaries that are not getting bad press.
I mean look at the Winter Solider billboard that was popular with her. She is sex sells lol. Scarlett is a beautiful lady
When you have a woman like Scarlett Johansson available, you're losing if you don't "take advantage" and don't mildly sexualize her, as bad as it sounds, it's true. As long as she's okay with it, everyone's happy...
@@HOT_SAUCE_ADDICT In the behind the scenes of iron man 2 her and Jon Favreau talk about how great she looks in the tight outfit so it's not really fair to blame Joss.
As you say it would be a waste of the effort Scarlett puts in to look that good.
I don't like the man but I'm enjoying the hell out of Buffy right now.
@@h4rdi7g3 yup. unnecessary blame
