    I know this is an older video - I swapped out my blades for high lift blades that had a noticeable curve upward. The change in cut quality, mulching and dispersion was dramatic.

    I want to like them more then I do, Dads got a first gen ZD21 and I have a 05 Exmark 60' 1300 hours with liquid cooled 27hp engine. Comparing the two I find it easier to keep a straight line on the exmark and less force on the levers. Kubotas grease points on the spindles make it stand the test of time better I have replaced all 3 of mine at this point, along with the clutch. I would like to see a review this mower with a mulch and striping kit assuming they make one.

      The Ferris won't last as long, and it'll burn a lot more Gallons per hour vs a diesel

    scratch that the one I have is a back shoot and that's the reason it bogs down so much it's actually a mulching mower didn't hear that this one was a side shoot that probably solves the problem big time

      Yea I was about to say Iv never had any power issues with this mower and I have mowed some thick thick grass. The deck itself does not like wet grass and that will make the whole unit shake some.

    Try the Oregon gator mulching blade and check deck pitch. I use these blades on my z724. Beautiful cut on any grass.

    I'm up to 180+ hrs. on the machine now, with 1 blade sharpening and due again. Still happy with it, haven't played with another blade brand yet, but I'm looking for alternatives.

      I got a set of Oregon G6 mulching blades. I also bought a set of hubs that I machined down to fit these blades.
      I've cut about 4 hrs with this new blade and am very pleased with the results. It also leaves a much more noticeable stripe.

    I use this Kubota 1211 mower in an industrial environment it tends to bog down way too often. on tall grass it dies altogether if you try and go too fast I find myself having to go very slow just to get a good cut going faster than 3 mph leaves rooster tails. not really a fan of this mower

      Any zero turn will bog down in tall stuff What u need is a tractor and bush hog

    What do you think about the rear discharge versus the side discharge?

    I choose between:
    John Deere Z994R - Z997R and KUBOTA ZD 1211, if you don't check the price, which model is the most reliable?

    @DaddyODylan Good luck in finding a Kubota dealer that will let you demo one of their mowers! We called almost everyone in our state and they all refused.

    I just got a 1211-72" side discharge. Bought it in June have 62 hrs on it now.
    I feel the cut is great, I do plan on searching for another high lift blade option.

    Hi im from oz and im in the market for one of these with a 72. I have hills and about 30 acres to mow is this one suitable for that. Had a walker and the hydros are weak as and looking for a commercial option

    • @keithhylton4631
      @keithhylton4631 4 года назад +1

      30 acres is a lot for it but I’m sure it’ll handle it. I also have one of these

    • @robmcgregor5700

      Still have the 56 inch walker to do the tighter stuff around trees so it will most likely share the load. Grass grows so quick here in byron bay in summer(every 4 or 5 days) and i think this mower will decrease mowing time in the big areas. The hydraulic deck raising mechanism really sold me, just put my order in. Thanks for your opinion Keith

    je ne comprend pas kubota, avoir utiliser pendant 20 ans des bx2200 et bx 2350 , 7000 heures de travail , il te met toujours le radiateur du mauvais endroit , comment veut tu qu il respire ces moteurs ou aucun accès pour bien le nettoyer , les toro utilisent des moteurs kubota il le met vraiment deriere la machine avec un ventilateur inversible sur certain model

    I have 20 acres would that be too much for this mower?

    • @daddyodylan8902
      @daddyodylan8902  4 года назад +3

      Totally depends on you and how much time you want to sit on one. If it was me mowing 20 acres I would get an enclosed cab tractor with A/C and a belly mower. A used tractor isn't that much more than a new one of these.

    There is no motor on that machine. It’s an ENGINE !!!
