    Great new piece of equipment. Just be sure to put something under the hydraulic line that is rubbing on the radiator. The vibration will surely wear a hole in the hose otherwise. I can't wait to see it put to work.

    What a fantastic little machine. I’ve always called em dingos. I got the ditch witch version and they are surprisingly powerful. You might want to look into down sizing the forks for 36in ones that makes a huge difference. And you can always flip the forks for a little extra height if you’re brave enough to work off them!

    Love your content, a note on skid steers from one with 20 years on a small Bobcat. Always keep the bucket low, especially when loaded, as being very short they will tip front easily and launch the driver. A cute and interesting machine, looking forward to your review. Also looking forward to updates on the Rally project. I had a Dauphine project many years ago and it had the toughest little engine I have ever used. Good luck, always look forward to your next episode.

    How exciting! That thing is a little monster. What a wonderful gift. Ian, you've gotta start lifting with your legs more. Squat down a little and look up at the sky as you lift. It keeps your back straighter. Also, "Homesteading Uncontained" alludes to all the crates you've had to open as much as it does the container home you're building. Very serendipitous. Great seeing you working on the Renault Thank You for That, I’m wondering with that digger loader if you put some substantial weight under the platform you stand on possibly fabricate a bracket to hold the weights, I think it would be necessary when your unloading something lets say from the side of a large truck/rig and you have your forks at head height or above or put something up high on your properties, when do you Guys and Gals plan on leaving for Milan?

    Awesome Addition, I added one to my JF12 Mini Ex. in November. Be sure to check all the Hose Fittings for tightness, 4 of mine were loose. I am thinking on a 3 point hitch Box Blade, Fabbed in reverse as a Snow Pusher/Land Leveler. Then a Finishing Mower Deck. I will be watching to see if you head this way also. Keep up the Great How To's!

    • @firstname6208

      That's exactly what I did. Bought a 3pt 48" blade and a quick tatch plate. Cut the hitch off and welded the plate onto the drawbar of the blade. Need the rain to stop or snow to arrive to test it out. I also bought a clamshell grapple, a 4way bucket, added digger teeth to the smooth bucket, a land plane, and a receiver hitch . I have a one tooth ripper for the receiver hitch and I want to add a landscape rake. My digger came with the Chinese Briggs. Not sure how good that is (doesn't have the Donaldson air filter).

    Congrats on the new skid loader. The Chinese are really beginning to make great machines. Using Briggs and Stratton is a positive as parts available everywhere and will be around for years to come. Two things' Briggs and Stratton new engines use braking oil. Use the machine for 2-3 hours then change the oil for recommended. Secondly please manufacture something to support the bucket when raised if you intend to work under it. I have seen failures firsthand not pleasant. We made a half pipe adapted to cover chrome of rams. Ensure you do not scratch or mark them. Again, good luck in the rally.

    • @louistorcello3525
      @louistorcello3525 8 месяцев назад

      Yes, we had our fitter's fashion a metal pipe cut in half vertically to use as a collar along the piston rams. We did both sides. We used different things to protect the exposed rams carpet, rubber, foam and ended up just using old clothing and sheets cut up to suit. We firstly placed metal angle line from somewhere on the front of the machine to the bucket or forks etc. We decided this was too sketchy as it could be knocked off the machine.

    Cool new toy. There is a huge need for those small affordable machines. Lots of people out there that have a need for one but can't afford a pricey commercial duty version and renting when you need doesn't work as renting rarely makes sense as you often end up spending as much as buying over a short time.
    Car is looking great. There is allot to be said about those small cars VS our bug v8s. Those small cars are so much easier to take apart and work on. I was looking at that rear axle and thinking how tiny it is compared to the one out of a ford Explorer I just narrowed for the Mustang.
    I think we have you beat on the cold though. It's noon and still 13*f here in Texas. The minisplit is keeping the shop at 63* which isn't bad considering it's less than half the size I need for the building. High of 20* but I don't think it'll make any higher than around 15* But it'll be back to normal in 3 days. Our cold only comes for a couple days here and there in the winter but summer is 9 months long with no relief...

      @HomesteadingUncontained  8 месяцев назад +1

      This machine will be great for me and it seems very well built - time will tell but the same for any machine. I do like the big V8 cars but just wince at the fuel consumption, specially with prices here in Europe - but I watch all the US motoring shows. Keep warm 👍🏻

      @@HomesteadingUncontained Definitely a great size machine. Something that I would like especially with the hydraulic function for running trenchers and other attachments. Wonder if they will have a diesel version of it.
      Yeah fuel is an issue here too especially here in TX where many have a commute of 100 miles a day. I just paid $2.37/gal. Yes cheap in comparison but when figured along with the mileage driven...
      I rented a Dacia Sandero on Naxos (Greece) back in May and I think I was paying 2.25euro/liter there. Didn't use very much though. Was a surprisingly fun car to drive around the mountain roads. Yes I rented an automatic. I am extremely uncoordinated and have never been good at driving a stick. And yes I am a car guy too...

      no need - you can feel the speed difference on this machine. The excavator is so slow......😬

    Can't play audio in my environment, and didn't see price/cost, delivered, in transcript or description. How much was it?

      We have no idea at the moment - this was a gift for our work on the Excavator Video Series. I will update more once I get the details from Nuoman.

    Julie's jacket...is it ex French military?? Looks good. Being Ex Army myself I notice things like that? I,m a bit of a collector or Army combat jackets.....but Julies looks like it might be ex French? airforce? Here in Easter Poland.......+1 C and about 6 inches of Snow.

      It was €3 off the market so not sure it is authentic.

      You may be surprised, by some of the ex mil things you can pick up dirt cheap (good quality too) - if it's fake it will be crap quality...I bought a Brand New German Civil Defence parka in field Grey for 100 Zloti 5 years ago (23 Euros) and it is really good even in -10C?? I did pay a lot for a Swedish M90 Combat Jacket but now it is worth 3 times what I paid. I,ve had many offers for it.@@HomesteadingUncontained

    What’s the width of the new machine?

    • @HomesteadingUncontained
      @HomesteadingUncontained  8 месяцев назад

      Just measured it for you - the bucket is the widest at 110mm and the width of tracks is 103mm. A little wider than the excavator.

    Concrete is fine. Do nothing and relax. Use the loader and save your back. You seem very hesitant to save yourself, instead you save the excavator, very confusing to me?

      Thanks for the reassurance on the concrete - I do need to start using the machines a little more.

    You go to either website to buy and the pictures that are shown are of many excavators and wat not. Not pleased with how the website looks like a fake sight or for u to even know wat ur buying or wat motors are in them worst sight i ever looked at

    The Renault
    Your oil resides in your sump & I have totally no idea of how much or how far you or your engine builder have gone about baffling it, be honest Ian you will be giving her a right canning.
    The oil pump picks up the oil & pumps it to the mains & big ends, then up to cam bearings followers & the bottom of the pushrods then up to the rocker shaft bearings, rockers & the top of the pushrods some parts are directly feed while others are just splash feed.
    Then what ??????????????????????
    Well all that oil at the top of your engine slowly drifts across the top of the head PICKING UP RESIDUAL HEAT FROM THE WATER GALLERIES IN THE HEAD & draining to the sump.
    Ian is not just a pretty face as he knows all the above, The Renault has a short wheelbase under heavy braking the back end will be dancing around like a lap dancer at a Gogo bar in Thailand .It has & small engine displacement which means he must keep the reeves between the maximum torg & HP that his camshaft dictates.
    Ian to finish you need to put your hand in your back pocket.
    Summit racing has Perma 55589 oil cooler kit for $113.98, Derale 15405 oil cooler kit for $139.99 add to them either a CVR oac91 oil accumulator (3quart) $216 or Moroso 23903 (1.5Q) $296.99 OR Canton Racing 24-046 (1Q) $259.00 Ian if you just go for a accumulator then you will need a adapter Moroso 23690 $113.99 (or buy a Perma kit )
    Then you need a man with a van who goes to industrial sites & makes to measure hoses.
    Kiwi Rod
    PS modern USA engines are now metric
