  • Several subscribers have asked me to show how we set up the Maori Rig (also known as the Islander Rig, Coconut Rig, or just The Rig). It's the most effective and the cheapest lure. This video is how I set up the Rig.

    I went out fishing the other day and tried every single lure in my kit and didn’t get a hit all arvo. A bunch of Samoan and Islander guys were using this rig and had 3 buckets full of bonitos. I was so disappointed but glad that one of the older ones took the time to teach me the way. Definitely giving this a go next time. 😅

      These lures are cheap & effective. It just take time to get used to casting it because of the long Leader.

    Islander brother here, my old man been using this rig for years now, taught when we were living in nz, if you ever go bass point down the coast almost everyone his using this rig cheap but effective, I remember seeing another youtuber video saying he was getting no bites or action using lures but everyone around him was catching fish using this rig goes to show how good of a rig it is, thanks for showing everyone the rig and all the names it comes with, I enjoy your content keep it up, hopefully we have better days ahead of us after all this covid19 is over
    🙏🙏👏👏 Cheers

      Thanks for the support Samuelu. Some of the boys from my videos learnt it from the Islander boys at Bass Point and taught the rest of us. It's a killer lure, and nothing beats it when the bonnies are on. We even use it up north, people just watch us catching fish 😁😁😁

      @@TeamKingiesFishingCrew we usually fish up north up to Newcastle Stockton beach at the breakwall, the lighthouse, Swansea, terrigal, best trip I've had is up at pearl beach off the rocks, using the rig we caught numbers of Bonny's, salmon, tailor well over 50 fish all within the dpi rules but 😅😅 just incase someone says something on here

    • @TeamKingiesFishingCrew
      @TeamKingiesFishingCrew  4 года назад +1

      Always within the rules brother, but when you go with a crew of 5 boyz, that's 10 fish per person. We have big families, so 10 fish is doesn't last long 😁

    • @TeamKingiesFishingCrew

      You can get them at all fishing stores. BCF & Anaconda also sell these floaties, but are almost double the price.
