i have one of these for a glock 17 and I absolutely love it. I went with a full length quad rail and a wire collapsible stock. 1000rds later (suppressed / unsuppressed ) and no misfires or jams yet.
Your excellent review is why we’re now subscribed. Was thinking to get this, you gave us the information we needed to know. Probably there are others out there without the firing pin issue extra weight.

@@davidg.9942 First off it's heavy. After a few range trips i had feeding problems every magazine. Customer service is great. They ended up shipping a brand new one with an upgraded threaded barrel for free. I believe it was the owner kept calling me to make sure everything was working right which is awesome customer service. After that it ran great. I mostly shoot 40 cal through it. Overall it works..
I had one of the original Mech Tech CCU for my 1911A1. It was the early model with the angle iron frame stock with the plastic insert and cloth cover. It made a sweet Tuning Fork noise everytime you fired it, haha. I put a cheap Red Dot sight on mine. I zeroed it for 25 feet to use for home/shop defense. Going to the range got kind of boring. I pretty much created one ragged hole in the center of the target every time. By the way when I bought mine in the 90's it cost $299.00
In newer models, they should make a rail on the bottom that lines up with the rail on the pistol. This way you could have an attachment ancor them together. An extra piece that fits in with the pins for the adjustable backstrap and the upper would also help.

I can understand why you chose a carrying handle since the glock is polymer holding all the weight at just a few points, great advise

this sort of thing would really benefit from being redesigned so that it's lighter.

I just ordered one so no.
How do you like the telescopic slide, looks like there is no cheek weld and what is the piece of polymer you have at the back end of the rail
So without a firepin safety, you would want to carry/stage it without a round in the chamber, got it.

Yes, all the info at their website. Mailed to your door, no issues. Its not a firearm.
Thanks for the interesting video. Do you know if the Mech Tech CCU will work with
the PSA Dagger 9mm Frame. It is a clone of a Glock Gen 3.

Out of business? They still have a website.
You're answering the question backward: The barrel is the barrel. You cannot switch calibers in a given barrel (except shooting .40 in a 10mm).
Love your configuration. Where can I get a carry handle and front sight like this setup?

Nicely done
Where can we buy this? Is there a ccu for 1911? Thank you.
Mech tech offers 1911 versions
Lol. Did you watch the video?
I really wish they made a 460 for the glock frame. I've heard they only do it for the 1911.
Do now
great review👍
What's the law on those nowadays
They really need to modernize it, I'm sure with today's machining and material they could really lower the weight and add M-LOK.
These arent that heavy.....buy an ar pussy.
Got one for my 10mm:)
Can a S&W fit in this? I have a SD40VE and its pretty similar to the glock 19 and 23. I would really like to know.
They make a model for glock, springfield xd, and 1911.
Just throw the S&W SD40VE in the trash where it belongs
Can the Sd9 or Sd40 fit
the sd9/40 will not fit
There is a version for the full sized XD's.
But not the compact,or Subcompact.
Doesn’t this make an SBR?
