Hi Lipps glad you enjoyed this amazing film it was shot at Shepperton Studios just outside London and directed by British director Ridley Scott who also directed the film Blade Runner made in 1982 which is another Sci-Fi film I think you would like as well, when Scott had the three separate sets built on the sound stage at Shepperton, he had it built in such a way that the cast and crew had to walk through each one to get to the separate sets for filming, he did this to give the cast a sense of claustrophobia and realism it certainly shows in their performances, anyway really enjoyable reaction and I hope you react to more Sci-Fi/Horror films in the future.
Fun reaction! is anyone in the house with you? When Dallas was in the ductwork and the alien suddenly appeared, your full-lung scream was sincerely ka-boom loud. Really enjoyed the reaction!
Love your reaaction. I really enjoy that you young kids get to discover the joy of the fantastic OLD movies, and all they have to offer. Practical effects are often better then CGI.! I mean, just look at your own jump-scare/scream in this one... No CGI in that scene.! ;-)
ALIEN ( 1979 ) 👩🚀 a classic of science fiction RIDLEY SCOTT with this film has marked CINEMA forever, the film that I have seen the most. A masterpiece that revealed Sigourney Weaver.
Yeah, that kinda scream earns a subscribe, no questions. Last time I heard something like that was in the theater seeing Don't Breathe when it was new. Bet you know the scene too ;)
Now that you've seen this, and assuming you've also seen the original Star Wars movies, you're ready for Spaceballs. That's also assuming that you haven't already seen it, of course.
Hey, Lipps! This is one of the greatest and most influential horror films of all time! I prefer the original THEATRICAL CUT you saw because I feel it's paced better and lacks a scene which contradicts the sequel. However, the Director's Cut boasts a moment when Veronica Cartwright smacks the crap out of Sigourney Weaver which definitely SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the Theatrical Cut! Despite preferring the Theatrical Cut for the first movie, there is ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION that you must watch the SPECIAL EDITION with longer runtime of the sequel, "ALIENS"!!!!!!! There are critical additional scenes that add context to the movie and it is the version director James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver themselves prefer. Director Ridley Scott kept the entire cast in the dark about the famous CHESTBURSTING scene except for John Hurt. Their reactions were absolutely genuine and mirrored the audience's response! Veronica Cartwright got sprayed by fake blood and fell over backward. They only filmed the scene twice. It remains one of the most ICONIC IN CINEMA HISTORY! The PACING is deliberately slow at the beginning to acquaint the audience with the ship's geography, to demonstrate authentic-looking space travel and maneuvers, to familiarize the audience with the crew, to establish the threat posed by the creature and to generate suspense with the mystery of the derelict craft. There's a lot of rich character humor and foreshadowing in those crew interaction scenes as well as a subtext about this future society being a corporate dystopia. "Alien" is set in the year 2122. This movie and "Star Wars" changed the future aesthetic from antiseptic cleanliness to lived-in, worn-out dinginess. The Swiss artist, H.R. GIGER, who designed the xenomorph, tapped into insectoid and reptilian features that evoke primal fear. His artwork is very bizarre, erotic and has a distinctive look called Giger-esque. The final product is an iconic movie monster that is pure NIGHTMARE FUEL! The creature's life-cycle and biology is explored throughout the series. By the way, the alien's retractable inner jaw is found in nature in a deep-sea fish! THE WEYLAND-YUTANI COMPANY is an international conglomerate involved in robotics, interstellar travel and terra-forming. They have a stake in every colony world and are basically the 22nd-century version of the British East India Company of the 17th- to 19th-centuries. They are a ruthless corporation looking to exploit or weaponize the xenomorph for profit regardless of the negative consequences. The Company is the TRUE VILLAIN of all the Alien movies. In the "AvP" films, you actually meet the company founders before their merger, Mr. Weyland and Ms. Yutani. This crew is not a group of explorers, scientists or colonists. They're just SPACE TRUCKERS hauling rocks. This was a First Contact situation they were wholly unqualified for. Hence, all the bumbling and bad judgment calls. Their chief concerns were company policy and pay inequity. Ripley was the only one with the willingness to make difficult command decisions that would have saved all their lives except for Kane's had she not been undermined by Ash. Of course, Ash was privy to a secret corporate mandate. Like most Captains, Dallas had an inherently CALM DEMEANOR. By minimizing the situation, it prevents both him and the crew from panicking. You can tell he's very worried because he seeks counsel from Mother. He also acknowledges his culpability for the predicament by preventing Ripley from volunteering to go into the shafts and by shouldering that burden himself. He accepted this task not even knowing if fire would be effective! His last act is a rather valiant gesture and I always feel bad for him despite his initial missteps. Parker is MY FAVORITE supporting character! Yaphet Kotto played him to the hilt! He's the blue collar EVERYMAN who just cares about payday and who enjoys deliberately antagonizing his superiors but ends up sacrificing himself for a fellow employee. He's also the only one who made a move on the chestburster before being stopped by Ash! Some viewers strongly believe the alien raped Lambert! This is nonsense. The PREHENSILE TAIL probably drew her closer to itself so it could mouth-punch her with the retractable jaw. Those viewers aren't mistaken for perceiving phallic eroticism, though, as that was Scott's intent. The giant elephant-headed alien pilot of the derelict spacecraft is one of the GREAT MYSTERIES of the franchise. Was he a zoologist, a bio-warfare specialist, an exterminator, a trader in exotic organisms, a waste disposal tech or a trucker like Ripley's crew? No one knows. Sigourney Weaver became a FEMINIST ICON because of this movie. Ripley is one in a long line of strong female characters that have been showcased in sci-fi and fantasy dating back to Edgar Rice Burroughs' Dejah Thoris, the Princess of Mars, in 1912! There's not a man I know who wouldn't follow Ripley into hell. You must see the SPECIAL EDITION of "Aliens" and the ASSEMBLY CUT of "Alien 3" because those versions greatly enhance both films. If you intend to see the "ALIEN vs. PREDATOR" films, then you need to acquaint yourself with the PREDATOR franchise. The first is an action classic with Schwarzenegger. Danny Glover's underrated urban-set "Predator 2" features some memorable set pieces. Dark Horse comics explored the crossover concept inspiring Hollywood to make two crossover films with moderately successful to excellent results. They're fun and exciting guilty pleasures with the second one, "ALIENS vs. PREDATOR: REQUIEM", being particularly lean and mean. There is also a "PREDATORS" film produced by Robert Rodriguez that is definitely worth a look. "THE PREDATOR" (2018) REBOOT, however, is not an entry I would recommend as it nearly killed the franchise! "PREY" is an 18th-century-set prequel to the original film that was released on Hulu last summer! The Alien films have a RICHER SUBTEXT while the Predator films are more ACTION FARE but they're both fun sci-fi thrillers. Below is a VIEWING ORDER and an INTERNAL CHRONOLOGY: INTERNAL CHRONOLOGY: 1719 Prey 1987 Predator 1997 Predator 2 2004 Alien vs Predator 2004 Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (Unrated) 2010 Predators 2018 The Predator [EXTREMELY OPTIONAL] 2093 Prometheus [OPTIONAL] 2104 Covenant [OPTIONAL] 2122 Alien 2179 Aliens (Special Edition) 2179 Alien 3 (Assembly Cut) 2379 Alien Resurrection (Director's Cut) [OPTIONAL] VIEWING ORDER: Alien Aliens (Special Edition) Alien 3 (Assembly Cut) Alien Resurrection (Director's Cut) [OPTIONAL] Predator (1987) Predator 2 Predators Prey Alien vs Predator Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (Unrated) Prometheus [OPTIONAL] Covenant [OPTIONAL] The Predator [EXTREMELY OPTIONAL]
@@LIPPSMACKER There are a couple movies I use to gauge reactions. Everyone does them. But I have an extensive knowledge of old great films. Everyone does AIRPLANE, THE NAKED GUN, THE PRINCESS BRIDE and the original STAR WARS trilogy. Also, I forgot FOREST GUMP., YOU'VE GOT MAIL and SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE.
the game Alien Isolation, takes place Betwee n these two movies and the game is VERY close to the films, and in the DLC you can play as dallas or Ripley, the 3rd is Disappointing, as a film on its own its good, but as part of the Quadrilogy it isnt.. cant say too much without spoiling it,
I've seen a lot of movie reviewers as they posted their reactions to this film, and I must say you were the most perceptive of all of them. You knew Kane wouldn't live, you knew that the Alien would burst through his chest, and you knew that it would stow away on the shuttle Narcissus as Ripley tried to get away from the Nostromo before it blew up. I give every Alien reaction vid a thumbs up because I know someone is going to react badly to the chestburster scene. You should read comments on some of the other Alien reaction vids concerning that scene -- apparently, John Hurt and Ridley Scott were the only ones on set who knew what was to happen, so the other actors' reactions were genuine. I'll post a link to the unedited chestburster scene here in an edit to this comment so you can have an idea... Edit/Addendum: OK, here it is. Fair word of warning before you click the link, though -- it is an age-restricted segment. ruclips.net/video/_bqTsbK8tI8/видео.html
I feel like this is one of those movies that has influenced moments in other media. So the concept of the alien being inside of the body and bursting out was in my head from something else (or just the concept of aliens impregnating humans. I maybe more so expected it to come out of the belly if I'm being the most honest) Thank you so much for watching and HOLY the unedited version, W O W.
@@LIPPSMACKER So you watched it? Poor Lambert, huh? I always thought she was just a fraidy cat from the word go. Maybe she just wasn't cut out for working in space as she was just too emotionally fragile. There were numerous iterations of the original script, each with its own take on Lambert's demise. One even had her in a locker literally dying of fright. Cardiac arrest, I would suppose. That emotional fragility eventually doomed her. I've read the novelisation, and after they take down Ash and extract his information on the Alien, Special Order 937 and Weyland-Yutani's involvement, Lambert suggests as an alternative to evacuating on the shuttle Narcissus or being killed by the Xenomorph, that she could take suicide pills, a peaceful and painless way to go out. She just can't envision having to endure pain or confrontation, very much the lost and helpless little lamb among the rams and the gigantic wasp that stalks them.
new sub. you are a delight :) - keep well! J from NJ (EDIT : 18:57 - awe, that jump scare really got you. Granted, it is an iconic scene so I am sure a lot of fans are happy and excited for such a reaction to said scene).

If you like classic Spielberg Scifi you should check out Close Encounters of the Third Kind, an excellent movie. Aliens: Special Edition is definitely worth watching. You might want to check out The Martian too, if you haven't already done so. There is also John Carpenter's "The Thing".
A Ridley Scott movie. He set the standard for all sci-fi movies to follow. This and Bladerunner. This is why practical and special effects are better than CGI. The only other guy this good is John Carpenter's The Thing! Also remember, the alien, Bladerunner, predator, Terminator universe are all interconnected. In the 😅crews resumes, u see that Dallas worked for the Tyrell Corp, thats Bladerunner!😮😮😮 Weyland Corp of alien, did heavy industrial and flight operation for Tyrell. Engineers (from Prometheus) created humans Aliens and supposedly Predators. And gave humans the technology for Replicants and Terminators! And in all these movies, there's always fake humans!😮😮😮. The dinner scene is also spoofed in the comedy, Spaceballs! The old guy is Harry Dean Stanton. He's been in every movie made since the silent era!😅. Dillinger, outsiders, Godfather 2, Red Dawn, green mile, and many other classics. Also from this movie, another common trend u may hear, all bad guys drink milk! This, the departed, There will be Blood, and many others! So in your movie watching, always look to see who drinks milk!! Two pro tips...the dinner scene was only completely known by the actor and director, not the other actors! Ridley wanted real reactions from the other actors!😮😮😮😮. Cameron copied that in Aliens. The knife trick scene, Bill Paxton didn't know that he was going to be in it! The other actors held down his hand and body, while the other actor did the knife trick to him! Also in the predator, Alien Bladerunner Terminator movies, many of the same actors ate used over and over!
Bravo 🎉🎉. Great reacting etc etc. All the usual comments. People are correct...do 'ALIENS'. Basically these films are lovecraftian - as is all good modern horror.....but we go to them (shivers lol). The influence of Howard Lovecraft is obvious (none controversial cat name in the film though).

H R Giger was the artist behind "the Alien" creature. It was inspired by nightmares that he would sketch out upon waking. Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. AND YOU THINK THIS IS JUST A MOVIE ? Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. REMEMBER THE SCENE WITH DALLAS SAYING "KILL ME"? 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
I've never seen anyone scream so much watching a movie. By the way, I hope you're not in the crime-solving business, because you've been terrible at guessing the survivors in the movie
Your scream when Dallas turns around in the vent and the Xeno is right behind him was fantastic lol
Jazz hands

Atmosphere, tension and characters over just pew pews and jump-scares.

From a certain point-of-view, this is just a movie about saving a cat.
Honestly
Good reaction, cheers. Aliens up next! :)
Yes! Tentatively set for 6/17!
Really enjoyed your reaction to this!!!!
Thank you!!!
Fun reaction! is anyone in the house with you? When Dallas was in the ductwork and the alien suddenly appeared, your full-lung scream was sincerely ka-boom loud. Really enjoyed the reaction!
Not when I recorded this 🤣🤣 I knew it was a possibility so I planned accordingly
Alien is what gave legitimacy to sci fi.
Love your reaaction.
I really enjoy that you young kids get to discover the joy of the fantastic OLD movies, and all they have to offer.
Practical effects are often better then CGI.!
I mean, just look at your own jump-scare/scream in this one... No CGI in that scene.! ;-)
I was looking at some behind the scenes stuff for Alien and it is fascinating how they created this movie. Where there’s a will there’s a way
ALIEN ( 1979 ) 👩🚀 a classic of science fiction RIDLEY SCOTT with this film has marked CINEMA forever, the film that I have seen the most. A masterpiece that revealed Sigourney Weaver.
Yeah, that kinda scream earns a subscribe, no questions. Last time I heard something like that was in the theater seeing Don't Breathe when it was new. Bet you know the scene too ;)
Now that you've seen Alien you have to watch the sequel Aliens. Even better and Ellen Ripley is even badder!
I plan to!!
24:09 - That's what she said 🤣
OMG! Bilbo Baggins is a Robot!
Cute screams and cute reaction overall! :) A shy meow from Switzerland. :)
The sequel is a must see!
I also recommend the blair witch project, hereditary, and midsommar
Now that you've seen this, and assuming you've also seen the original Star Wars movies, you're ready for Spaceballs. That's also assuming that you haven't already seen it, of course.
I’ve actually not seen Star Wars, but oddly enough I have seen Spaceballs
@@LIPPSMACKER in that case, you now have a reference for the Spaceballs scene in the diner, "Oh, no. Not again."
Below is a VIEWING ORDER and an INTERNAL CHRONOLOGY:

I will! Any recommendations?
@@LIPPSMACKER There are a couple movies I use to gauge reactions. Everyone does them. But I have an extensive knowledge of old great films. Everyone does AIRPLANE, THE NAKED GUN, THE PRINCESS BRIDE and the original STAR WARS trilogy. Also, I forgot FOREST GUMP., YOU'VE GOT MAIL and SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE.
@@LIPPSMACKER The A-Team, (2010)
@@LIPPSMACKER REAL STEEL. You'll cry like a baby
@18:57 HUGS!
There is a must see sequel to this movie (Aliens) with Ripley. It is considered equal to or even better than this one by most people.
the game Alien Isolation, takes place Betwee n these two movies and the game is VERY close to the films, and in the DLC you can play as dallas or Ripley, the 3rd is Disappointing, as a film on its own its good, but as part of the Quadrilogy it isnt.. cant say too much without spoiling it,
I've seen a lot of movie reviewers as they posted their reactions to this film, and I must say you were the most perceptive of all of them.

Great reaction. Now to watch The Thing and The Shining.
16:50 That's what she said.
Endings are just beginnings...
14:44 That part always gets me *screeching* *vrooOOOoom*
Also you definitely have to do Aliens (1986) now, a great sequel
Overrated James Cameron dross.
new sub. you are a delight :) - keep well!
J from NJ (EDIT : 18:57 - awe, that jump scare really got you. Granted, it is an iconic scene so I am sure a lot of fans are happy and excited for such a reaction to said scene).
Thank you so much for being here! haha yes, when I am immersed I will full lung scream if something really gets me. Or that's what my twitch community has come to call it 🤣
If you like classic Spielberg Scifi you should check out Close Encounters of the Third Kind, an excellent movie. Aliens: Special Edition is definitely worth watching. You might want to check out The Martian too, if you haven't already done so. There is also John Carpenter's "The Thing".
Lol that "bug" was an alien to them, by definition. Its not from Earth.
He’s just a lil bug! A lil stinker 🤣 a lil alien 👽
@@LIPPSMACKER a "critter" if you will. Lol
Great reaction. Subscribed. Since it looks like you like games, you should definitely play Alien: Isolation.
I want to!! Thank you for watching and subscribing!

I feel like it’s dangerous to drink and watch a horror film lol

New subscriber here, I was thinking since you like San Andreas so far and you do movie reactions you'd probably have fun with watching "SCARFACE" and then playing "SCARFACE" The video game if you can find it (it was available for PS2, Xbox and I believe PC) the game takes place right at the end of the movie, and continues Tony Montana's story.
Sooooo are you watching Event Horizon next? I feel like that would be a good mix of Alien and Interstellar for you!
Gladiator is next!!
you should give the game a try

nice reaction. as shocked as i was when i first watched. :D
also as good as this one was. the 2nd is even better imo :) HAVE FUN
HahaAHHHHHHHH 🤣🤣
Will you be reacting to Aliens? (sequel directed by James Cameron).
Up next weekend!! yay! Watching today :)
Ouu glad your watching this classic.
Ps You should watch silent hill (2006) by far my favorite horror movie of all time
I heard that scream from Ohio😊
Hahahahha 🤪
A perfect organism would be able to procreate without a host. I'm just saying.
Why you cut with pause scenes all the time?
To give space for the reaction part of the reaction
@@LIPPSMACKER I think that is wrong approach...if you react...react with scene...no need to overreact or prepare reaction....
I've never seen anyone scream so much watching a movie.
By the way, I hope you're not in the crime-solving business, because you've been terrible at guessing the survivors in the movie
Absolutely TERRIBLE 🤣🤣
