I have forgotten about the ET perfumes. I don’t think they had the reach that Fantasy did and didn’t prompt every celebrity to make their own perfumes.
Jlo Glow was my signature scent when it released back in 02. So much that one Christmas I got 4 bottles from friends and family. I still own one of those bottles.
It’s wild to think Issey Miyake was expensive at some point! I wish we had never stopped the 90s trend of powerful aquaeous freshies. When done right, almost nothing is as pleasing to sniff, or sexy in a clean way.
Sarah I also have EA Green Tea& Sunflowers Old Classics for sure and still wear them when I remember. But more Recently I bought a Newer Elizabeth Arden White Tea EDP Natural Spray and a Flanker EA White Tea Wild Rose EDT both 50 ml 1.7 oz Sprays . . Very Soft and lovely scents for Spring & Summer even early Fall . These are newer . 2018 and 2021 I believe on the Wild Rose . They have I think 2 other of the White Tea Flankers . I’ll let you check out Fragantica if you might look ke to try these . I figured Green Tea was great so I checked it out at Fragrantica and though t why Not !! Glad I did !! ❤😊Take care My Favourite Fragrance Reviewer Friend !!
I so agree about memories! I have VIVID memories from when I was barely 2 years old, clearly remember my 3rd and 4th birthdays, it’s so nutty when people try to say you can’t remember things from being a baby/toddler
Of the Fragrances mentioned I have Issey Miyake L’Eau D Issey Beautiful love it . Always going to have a Bottle in my Collection . J’Adore is another . Don’t have Poison but have Hypnotic Poison . Viva La Juicy Courure but it’s not a strong favorite of mine. Great video Sarah and would Absolutely LOVE to see a Part 2 of the Iconic Fragrances min your Collection . Love ya Sarah !! ❤😊🫶🏻🌺🌸
Viva la juicy is soooo iconic. If you were born between 1990-1997 then Viva la juicy and the VS body sprays like Lovespell and Very Sexy smelled up the hallways of our schools!💀🤩
I was wearing Love Spell in high school in 1994-1998 at some point. I feel like it came out when I was in high school and I did wear it some in college as well in the early 00's.
L'eau d'Issey was expensive. I loved Green Tea and still do. I still enjoy Viva la Juicy! I was late to the Juicy Couture craze back then but I collected all of them and they are iconic. It captured a certain time, nothing smelled like VLJ, and like you said so many clones created after it. I first smelled Angel in 2003 on my tutor and it captivated me. It was so unusual and strange but comforting...Very edgy for its time. I love the Soap and Glory scent! Very good dupe for the iconic Miss Cherie!
Oh yessss I was 19 when Viva la Juicy perfume came out. I loved it, and I was a fan of the original JC fragrance that had tuberose. Both are delicious but I've grown out of wearing them. It deserves icon status. I was a Sunflowers girl in highschool. :) and then Green Tea was my jam with the body cream. My Mom wore the old original Miss Dior. She did not wear perfume often and she only had signatures ... I remember the smell very distinctly as a baby.
I wore and loved half of your selection! I remember the revolution that came with Angel by Thierry Mugler... every woman of almost every age was wearing it (me too ). The streets of Rome smelled like Angel, and the bottle is a dream!
Angel, I couldn’t love, but I am an Alien girl. I’ve asked this question before in other perfume RUclipsr comment sections, but no one has been able to help me out yet. I got my hands on a vintage bottle of alien, but the cap had been pulled off and the seal broken. The perfume won’t spray out and it makes me sad not to be able to use it. You buy lots of vintage perfumes, have you had to deal with a broken atomizer before? I think I am going to have to get it out of its bottle and into a different one but how?
Yes please to a part 2 ❤. I’ve noticed that as I get older, I am revisiting and loving iconic fragrances from the past. I’ve been wearing Ralph by Ralph Lauren in this heat and it’s just so nostalgic/iconic to me. I’m immediately brought to my high school hallways.
Hi Sarah, you look so gorgeous here! Where are your earrings from?? I would love to get them if they're not too pricey. I love this video. It takes me back. L'eau d'Issey is my Mom in a bottle because that is what I remember her wearing, beside Cacharel's Anais Anais, all my life. Omg😆 Viva la Juicy was a whole vibe. I remember when it came out and every girl smelled like it. Do you remember the magazine ads where you lifted the plastic strip off with the scent under?? I love the story about Poison and how you watched the purple juice drip down your arm. It's crazy the distinct memories we hold on to. Black Opium will forever be in my top 10 for life. It is so iconic and idc if it's "overrated." It is a masterpiece coffee perfume. Thierry Mugler Angel is undeniably an icon. You would be dumb to deny it. I can only wear the 2011 EDT formulation (it's much less intense but it still contains that iconic chocolate musky patchouli) and I only have half a bottle left so I will need to search mercari for another bottle soon 😔. Brtieny's Fantasy is the OG in my lifetime!!
Hi Love! I get a lot of my jewelry from TJ Maxx. I think the earrings are either House of Harlow or Rachel Zoe which are the 2 jewelry brands that I like to buy. They are super durable as I never take them off. ❤️
They are iconic, no doubt. In my opinion Libre is iconic too, in spite of being a modern fragrance. You may like or dislike it, like Angel is a controversial perfume, but it is a classic that will be there for many years
@luisajordanofrago1675 Angel is indeed a classic. I remember the first few years after Angel came out; it was all the rage and the equivalent of Delina & Baccarat Rouge 540 (although social media wasn't around in those days). My sister has a vintage bottle, which I'm envious of, and I just love to sniff her bottle
Hi Sarah. I loved and still love Angel, I remember walking through Saks Fifth Ave in NYC when it came out at Christmas time and I fell in love with it! My Mom bought a small bottle of it for me and it will always remind me of my Mom and how she enjoyed fragrances just like I do. Excellent video and I love all of these! ❤
I love L’eau d’issey for the summer months. My best Green tea fragrance is green tea Nectarine Blossom, iMO better than the original. I do remember wearing a celebrity fragrance in the 1970’s by Diane von Furstenberg.
Issey Miyake was the first perfume I bought after I had the first child and that was 2001..Even then I thought it was pricey..I think it was $80, which was a lot for that time..still have the bottle
I'm not sure why as customers people are not complaining to the brands that we are now paying a lot more money for a watered down inferior product? If people refused to buy their fragrances because of that, they would stop watering them down and go back to the original formulation. Why are we ok with paying more for less?
Unfortunately, it isn’t simply that companies are watering fragrances down. In some cases it is the large conglomerates taking over and making changes. But, many would argue that IFRA regulations have ruined perfumery. And is the main culprit of many of our favorites being reformulated and/or discontinued. Companies can’t continue producing our fav formulations when IFRA is constantly banning the use of certain ingredients.
I'm just getting into my viva la juicy phase 😂...it's very frustrating that vivia la juicy and viva la juicy dupes don't last! I still love sunflowers and all of the sunflowers and green tea flankers. My favorite is green tea nectarine!
Hi there! I have tried them both and they are very similar. The regular EDT is stronger and a tiny bit more syrupy. I think I like the regular one better. ❤️
True story. About 5 years ago I went to Boots (a high street chemist in the UK) to repurchase original Opium. I had no idea they'd released Black Opium; the sales assistant told me it was the same perfume, just a different packaging 😂. BO made me gag but it's obviously popular; just goes to show we love different things😂
I don’t think they have to be old, just have a huge reach. I hate BR 540 but it’s ridiculously iconic at this point and it hasn’t even been out that long. ❤️
Elizabeth Taylor has the first big perfume that started in 1987. Britney Spears appealed to younger girls.
I have forgotten about the ET perfumes. I don’t think they had the reach that Fantasy did and didn’t prompt every celebrity to make their own perfumes.
@SarahMayes White Diamonds was the top selling perfume for many years. Older women also buy affordable perfumes. I own perfumes from both houses.
Woah I’m super early!!! You look so pretty Sarah !! Yes to a part 2 💖!
Thank you Love! ❤️

I love Poison, Angel, Alien, Classique, Black Opium, and Green Tea from your list.
I so agree about memories! I have VIVID memories from when I was barely 2 years old, clearly remember my 3rd and 4th birthdays, it’s so nutty when people try to say you can’t remember things from being a baby/toddler
It is! They try to say we are just making the memories up but that isn't true at all. ❤️
My mom always wore L'eau d'Issey so I love it for that reason :)
You inspired me to pick up a bottle of Poison and I am so glad i did. Absolutely iconic. 🍇💯🌸
❤️🥰❤️🥰

Libre and Light Blue are so iconic! I love this list.

definitely!
@@marniekilbourne608 Yes Love Spell been around since 90's.

Yes part 2 please would love to see some of the Calvin Klein, Burberry icons.

I have a Poison from '91 and one from '94 (also my first love). They both smell great, but they fade faster than they did back then.
I enjoyed this one.I have a lot of them . Nobody ever talks about Obsession. It was really popular in my circle. We borrowed our mom's.
Obsession was very popular for us too. ❤️
I have every single fragrance you have mentioned except two. Alien, Miss Cherie, and Classique. I find Aura to be better on my skin than Alien.
Great video. Loved the choices. Definitely part 2 🎉
YSL Black Opium will always be iconic and all the Muglers 👩🏽💃💅🏽😍
❤️❤️❤️

Yes to a Part 2 of Iconic Perfumes!
Thank you for sharing, part 2 please ♥️🌼♥️
❤️❤️❤️
I adore this outfit so much on you 💜💜
Me, too❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😘

Hi Sarah! These are all so iconic! My daughter is getting into her BS Fantasy phase. It's crazy to think how many age ranges enjoy that perfume.
It’s such a classic! ❤️
Another Awesome video!! ❤ Ty! :)
Would love a Part 2!
Yes please to part 2.
I ended up putting that green tea fragrance in my bathroom as an air freshener!!
Part 2 please Sarah 😊
I loved this! 💕 Those are all iconic! 😊
😘🫶😘🫶
I love Green Tea. A classic for a reason 💚💚💚
❤️❤️❤️

I think named after her daughter

Part 4 please😜❤️
Great video! Have you also tried the original jpg classique edt do you prefer the eau fraiche or the regular edt?
Hi there! I have tried them both and they are very similar. The regular EDT is stronger and a tiny bit more syrupy. I think I like the regular one better. ❤️
I love your videos!❤

😂 definitely not the same thing! I used to really dislike BO as well. I’ve just recently started to like it. ❤️
I actually think I like Fantasy over fantasy intense and I’d love to smell like that all over it’s very pretty
How old do they have to be to become iconic 🙃?
I don’t think they have to be old, just have a huge reach. I hate BR 540 but it’s ridiculously iconic at this point and it hasn’t even been out that long. ❤️
Part 2!
