Be aware tho, it’s not double wear. I have drier skin and this just slid off my face. I liked their previous version without the spf. I returned it for a refund. D+.
I feel the same way about my shade of Estée Lauder double wear (2N2 buff) as you do about your 1C1 Cool Bone! It’s the most reliable shade match for me year round and I think Estée Lauder’s shade range is underrated!
As a 50-year old, I’m enjoying lighter coverage than i did a year ago. I find the Double Wear Sheer is more of a light coverage. NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer also has a better coverage level than most products in this category. I think I’ll mix the two. What could POSSIBLY go WRONG? 😱😺

YAY!!!!! I was waiting for this video! I love this version of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, I use it in 1C1 Cool bone, for a good 12 hr wear I do use the Urban Decay All Nighter Primer, and set it with powder and the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray. It's the exact same process I have for the MAC Face and Body in W1. I love them both!! The 1C1 Cool Bone in the original formula is also not my perfect shade but it's the only one in that range that says both Pink Undertone and Peach Undertone, which is the perfect mix for me. If the 1C0 Shell had that same mix it would be perfect, but it's only pink undertone and I'd have to mix in the 1W0 to try to be as close to the 1C1 but a smidge lighter.

I wore this one to work with a mask and it held up wonderfully! I'll need to wear it a few more times to truly compare the longevity (the MAC is like a rock star under masks) but I suspect based on my first run that this one holds up exceptionally well too, which means they're going to be doggone close in comparison (and the MAC is one of my holy grails as well!)
I think my chin is just weird in terms of its chemistry, as foundation wears off it the same way even on days I never wear a mask. I've tried to figure out if I touch my chin or something but I can't come to any reasonable explanation!
How does this compare to MAC Face and Body? I’ve been loving that one, year round. Shelby Wilson really loves this one and MAC too. Also compared to the Futurist hydro rescue one?
I'd say this is a little more sheer than the Futurist, and similar to the MAC except that I feel like I can build the MAC up just a little bit more if I want to. I love all 3! MAC has been one of my holy grails for a long time and I suspect this will rival it.
It's the Clarins Total Eye Lift in the red bottle! It's pricey but the pump is well designed so that one pump is perfect for both eyes so you don't need much and you don't waste any. It's going to be in my next favorites! I have been using it every night. go.magik.ly/ml/1a1h4/
These shades in this foundation appear to be a wee bit lighter, I think, because the titanium dioxide makes them sort of shine a little lighter than if they had none in the formula.
I thought it looked very good. I have an unrelated question, have you tried the new Flower Beauty Spray on setting powder? I just saw this the other day and it's mostly sold out on line.
Very pretty! However, I can’t really justify high end foundation right now. But I bit the bullet, so to speak, and got myself the L’Oreal True Match Nude because I was able to find the Fair .5-2 at my local Target and it was only $14.99, not $19.99. (Like I needed more foundation, but I’m still experimenting with what works best for me.) I like it and it holds up better to my masks than the Age Perfect Radiant Serum (better color match too). Now I have another question. For some reason, my eyes get a bit watery when I wear mascara, so I need a suggestion for a waterproof one that isn’t hard on the lashes. Any ideas?
I've had good luck with the CoverGirl Exhibitionist waterproof, but I don't wear waterproof as often due to it being harder to remove. I went back to using the Garnier blue cap micellar water to remove waterproof mascara and it really is the easiest thing for me with the least rubbing.
Shelly, do you recommend wearing this without a primer on a regular basis? I wonder if it won't stay on my skin more than 3 hours because it just does not adhere to anything except a bare skin very well?
I would say the EL is a little bit less buildable than the MAC, but at a single layer they're similar. I can get the MAC up to a high light or very light medium coverage and I can't get quite that far with this Double Wear.
@@goow just picked this up...and I love it! Like you, Double Wear Stay in Place is my go to for special events, etc...this is perfect for the day, so easy to apply...very forgiving!
Twice a year I go through and either give away the ones I don't wear (and don't want to keep for comparative brand swatching) or donate to Project Beauty Share. I probably have 100 or so on hand at any given time. But I don't have all 240 or whatever it is that I've reviewed anymore :P Once they exceed 4 drawers of my Alex shelves, I declutter.

How does this compare to MAC Face and Body? I’ve been loving that one, year round. Shelby Wilson really loves this one and MAC too. Also compared to the Futurist hydro rescue one?
I'd say this is a little more sheer than the Futurist, and similar to the MAC except that I feel like I can build the MAC up just a little bit more if I want to. I love all 3! MAC has been one of my holy grails for a long time and I suspect this will rival it.

These shades in this foundation appear to be a wee bit lighter, I think, because the titanium dioxide makes them sort of shine a little lighter than if they had none in the formula.
I was thinking the 1C1 was just a smidge lighter than my other 1C1's!

Very pretty! However, I can’t really justify high end foundation right now. But I bit the bullet, so to speak, and got myself the L’Oreal True Match Nude because I was able to find the Fair .5-2 at my local Target and it was only $14.99, not $19.99. (Like I needed more foundation, but I’m still experimenting with what works best for me.) I like it and it holds up better to my masks than the Age Perfect Radiant Serum (better color match too).
Now I have another question. For some reason, my eyes get a bit watery when I wear mascara, so I need a suggestion for a waterproof one that isn’t hard on the lashes. Any ideas?
I've had good luck with the CoverGirl Exhibitionist waterproof, but I don't wear waterproof as often due to it being harder to remove. I went back to using the Garnier blue cap micellar water to remove waterproof mascara and it really is the easiest thing for me with the least rubbing.

Shelly, do you recommend wearing this without a primer on a regular basis? I wonder if it won't stay on my skin more than 3 hours because it just does not adhere to anything except a bare skin very well?
I've been wearing it to work every day lately just finger-applied with no primer and it holds up under my mask very well.

How is the coverage with this compared to Mac Face and Body?
I would say the EL is a little bit less buildable than the MAC, but at a single layer they're similar. I can get the MAC up to a high light or very light medium coverage and I can't get quite that far with this Double Wear.

I like this one a tiny bit better than DW Light but this does have a little bit less coverage it seems.
@@goow just picked this up...and I love it! Like you, Double Wear Stay in Place is my go to for special events, etc...this is perfect for the day, so easy to apply...very forgiving!

Twice a year I go through and either give away the ones I don't wear (and don't want to keep for comparative brand swatching) or donate to Project Beauty Share. I probably have 100 or so on hand at any given time. But I don't have all 240 or whatever it is that I've reviewed anymore :P Once they exceed 4 drawers of my Alex shelves, I declutter.
