This is exacly what I want for my countertops. None of the new techniques or the flecs that pop off and cause problems and extra work. Your kitchen looks like you just had brand new countertops installed. Thumbs up to a superb job. I love it.
I watched a video of a 3 month review. The reviewer said it held up beautifully! She said when liquid hits it. It does discolor it, however after a minute and the area going back to room temp. The original color comes right back. She said same thing applies for hot or cold temp. Discolored but after a minute it's right back to normal. She said a cutting board is always required. Which is basic common sense. The reviewer said it's beautiful when it's done, easy to maintain and holds up really well. I just ordered mine. I am starting tomorrow on a small space. I am assuming they'll be plenty left for a good touch up after a year or so or until I replace the countertops all together. Which is the goal. My niece just did the darker Grey about a month ago. She has two little kids and high activity around her countertops. She said it's one of the best small investments of money and time she has spent.
Thank You! I Just Purchased This Product, I Will Be Coating My Gurage Workbench Top! So I Won't Be Too Fussy! Your Counter Tops Look Great! COLOR!= "Haystack!"
Hi, loved how it turn out , however I would like to know if you would repaint the island again because of the roller marks and how does this hold up to hot pots and pans or should you use a trivet as a precaution. I am seriously thinking about doing this and scared at the same time. Also would you recommend a protective coat for added protection. Let me know how this product holds up. New subscriber.......
I used the same stuff in my bathroom and didn't like the roller marks, so I left it as a background and did the Faux Granite with a sponge and about 7 colors, turned out Awesome. Used Rust-Oleum 3x as thick Polyurethane
@@shirvernegriffin7876 There's lots of videos online. I started with an epoxy base, then used Acrylic paints with different sponges, topped it off with an Acrylic Polyurethane.

BeTheBestYouBoo special countertop epoxies don’t. Also non yellowing and uv resistant epoxy don’t. The worst epoxy for countertops is Envirotex. I used to like it. But soon realized it yellowed. Luckily you can pour over existing resin. You can tint the resin or paint the countertop a flat paint then pour. Works well
Don't know if it the problem is on your end, or mine. I checked everything on my computer and turned volume up all the way but I still can't hear you. I saw some other comments of the same.
I painted mine today with this product. I have a couple of rough spots after 2 coats-like the paint wasn’t quite dry enough or there was some gooey paint on the roller that was left behind. Can I sand these spots and do a little touchup?
My wife and I used the rustoleum countertop paint, and it has not held up well. We did the instructions exactly right. Anytime we use a hot crock pot on the counter it leaves little indents I need to sand and scrub out.
Thank you! I sanded my cabinets before putting on primer. I also cleaned them with TSP (a heavy duty degreaser). For the paint I used, I did not have to sand in between coats.
@@brigtoria I didn't see you use a primer. It looked like you just painted one step of the putty color. If you used a primer, could you tell me what primer you used?
No top coat of seal needed. It does not feel like a laminate or granite counter tops by any means but it does not have a sticky feel. It is different from your standard countertops but I got used to the texture really fast.
A few months back I painted them white with a granite/ marble look but i used polyurethane on top and it turned yellow! This was much easier and faster (and no top coat needed!) :)
Mine is coming up after a year. Has always been bad about impression of any thing that sat for awhile or is heavy. It isn't holding up to my medium traffic kitchen use. I would use the transformation kit instead of this paint. I will be doing my bathroom counters with it when the humidity stabilizes in my area.
Mine indents with plates and cups. Has been complete rubbish. Doesn't hold up to constant use and scrubbings. I am looking up how to get it OFF my counter top enough to cover it up with something else. I give this product 2 thumbs down for durability, lack of application instructions and it stunk up the house for days.

This stuff, the Rustoleum Countertop paint, did not work for me. It was a big waste of a little money and some time. It did not dry to a hard coating, it dried into a soft coating that would easily get scratched off, indented if I put something heavy on it. And anything hard put on the surface made some kind of impression, either a scratch, nick, indent.
I used my crock pot on it and it had no side effects. As far as water, it does hold up against water but if water gets on it, it will leave a light mark and then fade back to the original color. I'll make a video to better explain this! But the discoloration after liquid touches it goes away after a few seconds :)
Oh please don't use it!!! Get rid of it!! I used it and it's peeling off my counter and I need to remove it!! If you look up the reviews on Amazon, you'll see one bad review after another. Mine lasted for maybe 8 months, then began to peel. It's horrible!! Instead, get the kit but not Rustoleum!
I used this paint on my countertops 13 years ago, and I am just now preparing to redo them with this same product! It holds up very well! I highly recommend this product!

Hi Michael. Give us an update please
One year later wondering how this is working?
I realize I am pretty randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to watch new movies online?
The countertops look really nice . I want and need to do mine. Thanks for the video..and I can hear you just fine.. 🙂
Can small chips and deep scratches be filled before painting?

Did lightly sand it after the first coat?
Can it go on a wood vanity top?
Why are we whispering

has anyone used an applicator thats NOT a foam roller? so as not to get any lines in the finished look?
Great job, I like it.
May I ask where did you get that pot rack over your kitchen window? I absolutely LOVE that!
Thanks for the video!!
wouldnt it be wise to epoxy over that? I am considering this same product but I dont wants scratchs that took 30 original years to be back in 2-3
Hi there :) Do the counter tops have like a sticky feel? Like does it feel painted? Did you seal it with anything?
I'm wondering this also. How does it feel in comparison to the polyurethane?

Curious how these have held up in a year?
Me too, would love to know how they held up. I'm thinking of doing a rental.
Did not hold up well for us. We are only 6 months in, and it has small chips. We are looking at replacing our laminate countertops now
Has this held up strong for this long?
Mine lasted for 8 months, then began to peel. Worthless garbage!!
sand lightly between coats
Did you seal it with polycrylic afterwards?
I think need to use polycrylic after paint to make sure the pain was not faded right?
Why did you redo them?

Can this be applied directly to plywood for a DIY countertop?
No. Needs primer first.
You should have put your second coat on across the first coat, not in the same direction. That would help eliminating the roller marks.
It actually looks better.
It sounds like you're recording in secret, so no one else in the house will hear.
Is the color putty, a dark brown or more of a gray color? Thank you!!!
