ipiranga citadel is flat under the front and back turrets amidships there is a turtleback which is why you were bouncing there, its quite easy to citadel at close/medium range under front turrets with higher penetration cruiser guns

    • @senpai_silent
      @senpai_silent  10 дней назад

the shottrap in the back allows you to citadel it with 203 MM above, Moskva has enough pen to citadel most tier X BBs below around 10 km too tho.
(Not really things like GK but stuff like Conq Montana or Yamato)

@@senpai_silent oh yeah but the thing is that shot trap is so small to me it isnt worth it id rather go for upper belt or for citadels under front guns

@@matthewyang7893 I think my best shot at Ipiranga's shottrap was with moskva actually from like 18 km or smth. Not like i got many citadels but a few. Always worth a try if the guy is broadside and not turning.(this is more common then one may think)
Btw. Upgraded AP (like in DM) and Sap shells melt down Libretad line BBs from any distance very quickly.

excepting certain maps and matchmaker, you should always be kited out in moskva at the start of the battle. This is because with subs, cvs, and the prevalance of powerful gunboat destroyers and HE spam across the board, you simply cannot play bow in on a rock or in open water until later in the game. The poor manueverability and concealment makes it nearly impossible to dodge submarines and carriers without being kited out.

You are forgetting 2 factors there.
1st - turning can kill you and your aft has much larger area where you have 25 mm.
If you are HE spammed it just gives them more easy pen area (and if they pen 50 it won't matter), subs and CV do not care about you kiting or not anyway. It also exposes your citadel to overmatch since 50 plating does not exist at the rear as it does on the nose.
2nd - There is only one correct direction comrade, forward.

the tankiness from kiting is not from the armour but the ability to
      1. Change angle: you can show a lot more broadside when you're moving and you have time to turn when a bb shoots you.
      2. Move further away at a greater speed
      3. You won't always be able to go dark but it will be much easier than trapping yourself bow in
      4. You can acceleration dodge.
      5. Use all three guns almost all the time
Bow in moskva has much better armour than stern in moskva, but it doesn't actually matter, because stern in moskva can avoid getting hit much easier. Less shells = less damage taken. You repush after the first 7-10 minutes unless your flank is being run over.
I have never had a problem with turning out at the start of the game, but that's my experience.
my account is firewolfmoon (NA) if you care to look.
      Love the vid anyways :D

I play on EU (if you wanna check - 2 768 pr with 68% wr in Moskva thus far)
I recommended bow in playstyle as my vids are aimed mostly towards ppl with 0 exp in the ship and that is the easiest one to execute.
Also personally i pref more like last stand ballz in playstyle for majority of my ships.
What you suggest may work very well for some but comes at much higher risk in terms of making mistakes. (no exp players will many problems steering such clumsy ship correctly)
When I am bow in i dodge with speed by accelerating forward while also swinging my ship to use 3rd gun. This is also how i dodge subs. I angle to a sub ping, go forward and hit the breaks and turn towards them around 2 km away from torps.
My main goal is to be the punching bag since i know I can deal with that but i don't trust anyone from my team could. (This is how it is on EU sadly...)
If that playstyle works for you, which i see by your stats, it is great and keep it up.
There is nothing wrong with that and I am glad you shared your part.
Gl and Fair Seas mate !

One of the most consistant cruiser guns in the game imo.

@senpai_silent it is. Fun to use in random and operation. Even with the ongoing powercrept, she hardly gets affected by it.
