DIVERTED to LONDON Jet2 B738 G-JZHN Storm Kathleen 2x Go Arounds

One of the more impressive Go-Arounds at Newcastle Airport today was this Jet2 Boeing 737-800 G-JZHN arriving from Palma De Mallorca. As the winds gust up to 40+ knots the cre made 2 attempts to land on runway 25 before diverting to London Stansted Airport.

Can't believe they went to Stansted, poor souls on board. Hope they put them up in a hotel overnight and flew them back

I was on it , a bit scary coming in first time after second attempt was aborted went to Stansted to refuel then back to Newcastle to land third time lucky

They were ferried back up on the same plane after a bit of a delay. At least they made it home in the end.
