Cybercab is not going to be produced until robotaxi are past testing. If scaled production is expected 1Q27 that means production will start 1Q26 or earlier since it takes time to get to scale, and scale depend on getting robotaxi rolled out in many states.
Tesla will not show Model 2, this is a robotaxi event. Because if they show Model 2, no one will care about anything else and the event would be wasted.
If people become convinced there will be no recession, then people start buying more cars. As rates come down around the world there will be more demand for cars. Model 2 will start production 1H24, but I don't think it will be shown tomorrow.
Estimates have been going up because of the energy growth that is getting priced in and a high valuation as Tesla earnings are expected to move positive and not falling anymore.
Tesla stock will go down no matter what Tesla shows tomorrow. Buy your puts for easy money.

It’s more comfort without driver, I have seen regions where Tesla Uber is cheaper than ICE Uber and Robo maybe is the next level even if limited trips, I would always prefer no driver as sometimes it is quite scary with some drivers
So to put it in simpler terms, are the people getting calls or puts?
I think they should have Lidar based Robotaxis so the can map the Lidar based data onto normal data while keeping hardware costs down for mass production

How to reconcile the statement that Tesla is at twice a reasonable valuation with the statement that market has already priced in YoY decline in deliveries? Obviously a model 2 might be priced in driving future growth, but there is a reason why it was abandoned as it will be a low margin market that everybody will be competing in, so all there is left is robotaxi which is still a long way out.

What are you talking about 😂how is the roadster more important then robotaxi 😂 the reason tesla is worth what js worth is because of robotaxi/ai. And robotaxi and model 2 are basically going to be the same since its going to be on the same platform. Its the only thing that makes sense. That way if the regulations are not yet made for the robotaxi. Then they can keep pomping out model 2's from the same line

I don't day trade often. I don't use my entire portfolio day trading often. But this morning I nailed the bottom of TSLL shortly after market open and sold an hour later at the top. 93k invested and walked with 5k profit in an hour LFG!

The highest I saw my 50K make today was around $800 before dropping. 93K is less than half double my investment. How can you make $5K?
My guesses:
1. Tesla robotaxi will be equipped with H100 for the basic version. Advanced version will come with BlackWell chips
2. Robotaxis will have Solid State batteries
3. Tesla robotaxis will be free for All Tesla Car Holders
4. Tesla Robotaxis will be driven by the optimus robot
5. All robotaxis will be controlled via Neuralink Interface
6. Robotaxis are built using the spacex reusable booster technology

Optimus won't be human controlled on AI Day. The human control is for training. Elon is no stranger to demos not working. He's ok with Optimus messing up.
I'm keeping expectations very low as I expect stock to fall afterwards as well and be flat till earnings then fall some more. I'll be happy with any concrete info and plans but not counting on it. Been through too many of these over last 4 yrs investing in Tesla.
It makes sense to me that a robotaxi with a removable steer by wire "video game" wheel will be announced tomorrow. Meaning that the robo taxi IS the "Model 2".

@@MeetKevin "The best part is no part", the best vehicle is also no vehicle. Cybertruck was a testbed for many technologies that Tesla will use in future vehicles. Steer by wire was a successful test in the Cybertruck. There was a lot of debate between Elon and the team several years ago on if they should include a steering wheel or not in the robotaxi. This is before steer by wire was in the CT. Now Elon has the ability to reach two markets with one production line by simply strapping on a "$60 video game wheel". It makes too much sense, is too easy, and eliminates sooo much robo taxi risk to not do.
But we'll see tomorrow!
I agree, it's talked about even in the Isacsan book how Elon conceded that the no steering wheel no break car should also have a wheel and pedals available. I belive it is why they did the CyberTruck with steer by wire to help absorbe development costs.
Also, early this year Tesla (not Elon) said that they changed strategy and were aiming to have their new product entering production late this year or beginning of next. I dont see why it would be a big ask that we see a product launch not a demo.
My bull case is we get RoboTaxi/M2 (same car) plus a bonus future hardware product announcement.
My bear is we get a robotaxi and to see the app and that's it. I think there is too much hype for this to be the case.

In The UK, the roads are lawless with no practical policing, 1 million uninsured untaxed vehicles. The yobs will quickly learn that you can pull in front of a robot taxi knowing it will stop and no one is going to go medieval. In London, TFL has to pay for security minders to stop their enforcement cameras from being destroyed. Can't see this working in lawless areas.
There's no way England can be more lawless than U.S.A. we have thugs taking over street intersections on a regular basis. People drag race on freeways during rush hour treating cars like traffic cones.

I am getting dizzy - it seems to me that Tesla is simultaneously a car company - since everybody is cheering for new models/trucks/delivery numbers, and a non-car company, in which case why does it matter what cars do they produce, or if deliveries drop by 68% in Europe?
Human driver will never be as cheap as a robo ride. So they can never compete in price.

With the robotaxi, the fair needs to pay for the car and engineering overhead, so initially Uber is going to be a way more profitable service since car cost burden is on the driver with Uber. Long term, obviously the robotaxi concept will eventually dominate.
But not everyone has Tesla
I recently went to SF and road everywhere in Waymo Jags and it is much more pleasant than getting in some Uber drivers POS dirty ass car blaring his trash music, yelling in some jibberish on the phone and driving erratically. The problem is the human. There is no consistency to a human driver and that’s what autonomy provides. I don’t own a car. I ride share everywhere and when you use it as much as I do you see everything. This is just one of those jobs that humans don’t need to be doing in the near future.
I mean yeah that is a fair point - or a driver who wants to save gas and turns the AC off LOL

@@MeetKevin Are you aware that Uber now takes up to 70% of the driver's fare? Basically they Charge Pax 3x and Driver gets 30% of it now. Now illegals are driving thru a network of people renting to them to work, which Uber allows so they keep giving them low fares and more profit for them. They know they are screwing the driver and preparing for their own Waymo partnered self-driving cars beginning of next year. So they will be in competition with Tesla Robotaxis.

3. Made in Mexico for North America market 35k model 3 and 40k model Y (before tax credit)

Waymo has taxis in AZ already. Very limited coverage, they have certain areas blacked out where you can't go to. So i am guessing they are still working in navigating areas that don't have clear and visible streets. Going to need a lot of testing depending on areas.
I am wondering if they also have disaster programming like what to do when a flood, hurricane or any natural disaster.
No way it's 2.5 years from now. They have by your admission been working on this car for years. FSD has been in work for years and I would guess less than 12 months before government approval.
its a fraud. self driving cars are not usable, the occupants will be robbed simply by standing in front of the car, same for self driving trucks, no one thinks about human nature anymore
RE: Wireless charging. Non technical people don't think about this stuff until it hits them in the face, but the so called "loss" in wireless charging is turned into heat, i.e. to get 10kw of charging you'd need to shed like 3kw worth of heat into the environment, start a fire, or throttle the charge. People will get angry once they figure this shit out...
Long story short, it is not happening.
As usual Kevin brings out a lot of points other RUclipsrs fail to cover. However, his own ETF ($PP) does not hold any Tesla so I'm guessing Kevin doesn't think this event is a gamechanger. Still, appreciate the insights.
Kevin, haven't watched till the end. Have to say your analysis is brilliant. I will add the only incentive for Tesla to do the Roadster now is if they can make in on the same assembly line as model X and S. As we saw from the last production report they make 10k cars a quote and the line iwas designed for 25k a quoter meaning it is underutilised.

Been talking about this 10+ years
Current uber lyft models they have to pay the drivers. Drivers pay all the costs of the vehicle (gas, maintenance etc.). Robo model, the companies own the cars and have to maintain and clean them. Additional there to needs to be a human to monitor the cars in case of emergencies. Last no one is cleaning the cars in between rides, so if people hookup in the robo taxi instead of getting a room ich.
It will drop like a rock obviously, Tesla didn’t disappoint me when it comes to that.
If a major disruption should occur, it will in my opinion disrupt the timeline expectations. If this does occur it will highlight the fact that analysts don’t understand the pace of AI and compute speed.
FSD seems fine for most cases until you get to construction areas where it needs to read signs to get in the right lanes.
Been using mine in construction every single day. It's works about 90%. Its honestly pretty amazing and of course it's getting better with each release...
Reading signs is a piece of cake. Tesla will succeed. Failure will not happen.
I think your expectations are pretty high, regarding reveals of other vehicles. I they are stressed enough about robotaxi going flawlessly

The loss on some of the wireless charging technologies are actually not much worse then the cables.
Elon has said don’t own TSLA unless you believe they will solve full autonomy. This day is for those who do believe that story. None of us care about a model 2…. Frankly I’ll be disappointed if any meaningful time is spent on the 25k car tomorrow

Model 2 is coming but it will not be revealed at tomorrow’s event. It will be all about robots on wheels and on feet.

This is a very important day for Tesla. Same like in 2014 when they proved that electric vehicles are profitable, in 2018 that growth rate is sustainable. If they can prove the Robotaxi/AI concept the stock/company will skyrocket. If not, it will flop. It is definitely a nailbiter, but still believe in the company and what they can do in/for the future.
Having used FSD several times, I am 0% confident that robotaxi will come within 10 years.

Hello! Why not use 10/10 as the launch date for the Tesla Robotaxi app? An app where we can order robotaxis, but starting with supervised options. Here are a few ideas to start:
Supervised rides, similar to Uber.
Car-sharing, where cars are distributed across the city and you can pick one up where allowed.
Car rentals for longer trips or specific needs.
Future updates could include the option to summon your car.
Eventually, we could have full self-driving robotaxis, unsupervised.
I think this app could be built quickly, launched soon, and start generating profits in a beta version. Why is everyone focused on a new robotaxi model? The current versions are ready for the app. A new model can be showcased for the future, but the app could start immediately.
If you were long Tesla you would want no model 2 at all so the stock goes down and you could buy more. That is not the case tho is it?!

I don’t get why it’s wireless charging or not. Why don’t they create a charging pad that the car can release a charging connector to have a wired connection when it’s over the pad. Or the pad release connectors that go up into the car info a charging port. Something with a physical connection but that can connect automatically when parked over

People talk way too much about some Robotaxi network where you submit your car to the whim of strangers. I think extended family network would be a much more plausible use case. Like, I have two cars just so I can go to work 5km away from my wife, but she may want a car for the day. The moment I can have FSD I can just go to work, and my spouse can summon it if need be. Two people, two cars can become two people one car. Ten people 5 cars can become ten people two cars.
How will they handle events that might happen when there is no human in the car? Like if the customer sees no human, they might litter, spill liqiuids on purpose, damage etc.. If there is big damage then I guess the next customer might be able to send a report or something, but if its small then the next customer might not care? Then how to make the right person liable for the damage? I think that tesla owners who let their car out for robot taxi might devaluate their cars quite quickly..

They won’t announce a model 2 dude, it goes against everything Elon has said for 6 months. At best it will be a short range model 3/Y with reduced options (no leather, less speakers, reduced acceleration, etc.) at like 30k. Stock will go under 200$ and I’ll buy a bunch more.
Wireless charging WILL be a big part of robotaxi. Probably all future vehicles.
Hope not with current chargers. You lose 40%+ of the energy.
But Tesla did buy a wireless charging company, so many they've figured out a better conversion...

I don't believe the 40% number and if it's true then I'm positive that Tesla can do better. The transformer at your house is obviously way different, but does wirelessly transfer energy with a 95% efficiency. 40% loss seems way high.

I honestly think Elon Musk's XAI33x is the safest bet for long term hold, and will survive out of every other altcoins. It will get adopted in US, Ecuador, Asia, starting from Japan, and slowly spread out and gain. This is a winning coin, apart from all the technical greatness.
I solely believe XAI33x will do 20x after its launch price, the hype is high and its community are not relenting.

Elon tweeted "we launch new Product" - its singular, so its only Robo-Taxi and no Model 2 or Roadster.
When I see the Optimus, McDonald's connection I see Mc Donald's as a customer. Think of a high density city like Chicago. An order is placed and paid for and with in a minute the robot is on it's way. It maybe the office tower next to you. Delivery in 5 to 10 min. That is game changing.
Kinda doubt they’re going to announce a “model 2,” but we will see soon.

Why is the stock going down today?
Why would Tesla announce model 2? That is a terrible idea. Their sales would instantly crash for the model 3 & y. They need to have production ready the second they announce it. Also they’ve already stated this car is coming on the Q2 earnings call.
That would likely only occur if the M2 were imminent. People need a car NOW when they need it.

Kevin, something you missed in your predictions - the ride-hailing app will be available soon for all FSD owners to provide supervised self driving rides. Tesla will do this for a year+ to help gather training data.
