Yup, last time Kohutovic and Kultaev fought there was a great disparity in points (Kultaev winning 8-2), now it seems that Kohutovic is catching up. I wonder how he’d do in nordic tournaments and swordfish considering Kultaev won the Helsinki longsword open and Kohutovic is near or at his level.
I watched this fight multiple times including in slow-mo, and by my calculations, the score should be for Kohutovic. But of course, I wasn't there in person. I would also like seeing some fencers from my area to excel at foreign tournaments :)
Ondřej H I think one of the reasons Kohutovic doesn’t come to Swordfish anymore is because the judges from 2012 weren’t accustomed to his fast, aggressive fencing and basically cheated him of points. Due to the increasing number of eastern European fighters in the western tournament scene and more experienced judges, Kohutovic may be able to come back and even win.
фехтование из фильмов у тебя в голове, а если бы знал что фехтование на самом деле то таких вопросов бы не задавал. Кохутович влетев уколол култаева без вреда для себя причем в реальности он бы прсосто проехал сквозь туловище култаева и легко бы одержал победу. Также и култаев удачным смещением и сокращением дистанции смог застать кохутовича в расплох, обрушив град ударов и не получив ничего внятного в ответ. Фехтование это шахматная партия со своими выпадами и грандиозными наступлениями рассчитанными на реакцию соперника
