La Patum - Europe's most impressive folk festival | UNESCO World Heritage | Crazy Catalan Custom

La Patum de Berga: Berga is a small town at the foot of the Spanish Pyrenees. Every year around Corpus Christi, the town pulls out all the stops for La Patum, a five-day festival celebrated with mythical and symbolic figures, much as it has been since the Middle Ages. Meike Krüger watched this crazy custom for us from close up.
