It was good to see you and the puppies come across my feed. Glad to see you guys are doing well. Keep it safe, relaxing and enjoyable. Have not been to an Overland Expo since we had met in '22. Of course they changed how they do the volunteers (eliminated). I now have a 2000 Jeep XJ which I am slowly working on here and there. Take care😀👍

I had driven manual for many years till 2014. Lots of fun and great control. But happy to have auto now. In my new Jeep, I can always move it over to manual and slap it between gears when I want so I feel that I'm getting the best of both. I also use my Jeep as a daily driver and manual gets awfully old in stop and go traffic.
btw, your channel just came up on my feed and i loved your video. I miss being out west so much. For now, I only get an annual trip out there.

Personally I prefer Automatic. Of course now it's mostly for health reasons. I used to love my manual Vega, Gremlin, B210, VW Squareback, MR2, Honda Passport.
    It's all relative and good!

Manual all the way, very few disadvantages. I'm more in tune with my machine. (2000 Wrangler) I have better hill decent control, has mileage, gearing etc. I can drop the clutch if something goes wrong with ignition system.
    Manual just more utilitarian

As a Jeep TJ owner manual is the only way to go for me.
Really appreciate the talk about wheeling and using the transfer case. Nice addition to the awesome video!

Sure didn't look like that 30 years ago. Think they must have dozed around the spring.

How many miles on that TJ bud? I have a 1997 Saharan with 219K, runs like a champ. If you guys are ever in Oklahoma, I’d like to meet you guys and the doggies.

Prefer automatic for my day to day and manual on the trails... thankfully my truck allows me to have the best of both worlds
