Have they fixed the 3d active fan feature of the windforce cooler? Many people reported that fans become very noisy during low loads (idle, not demanding games) because they starts/stops all the time. I read that this is a common problem not only with rtx series but also with older models.
it was easily fixed anyway, the problem was fan whirring because the temp would reach the cutoff point for the fans turning off, then the temp would rise until the fans went back on and whirred, i had the gaming oc 2080, and had that problem however i downloaded gigabyte aorus engine and disabled "Fan Active Start/Stop " and it worked
The center fan has its blade pitch reversed from its spin direction so the air flow is flowing in the same direction on all 3 fans this will reduce air turbulence and increases air pressure over the heat sink's fin stack making the card run cooler.

I had two options: RX 5700 xt or RTX 2070 Super. I honestly murdered my brain from very serious thinking... I was leaning towards the 5700 XT considering the price and the close performance to the 2070s. Ultimately, what seriously threw me off was the driver issues, stuttering, constant BSOD, having to do a clean install of Windows seems a very ridiculous thing to do just to fix a driver...and so on... While it can be a limited amount of people having those issues, I wasn't going to risk it specially at this price point. I'd rather spend more on peace of mind. Another point was that the best 5700 XT card (Nitro+) goes for around $460. I told myself, just spend the $50 more for the 2070s.... I've seen nothing but good reviews from it. Nvidia drivers have been stable for a while now, and I don't mind having ray tracing tehee. However, my CPU is a ryzen 5 2600. There's going to be some bottleneck in some games, but I don't mind it. As long as I can play games on ultra at 100fps+ with high low 1%... You can't beat that. I can just upgrade my CPU when Zen 3 comes out. Or hell.... get the 3700x when price goes down. Overall.... I'm very happy with the purchase... I'm upgrading from a GTX 1060 6gb. So despite the bottleneck, I will see big improvements on FPS. And now I'm actually all set (til I get the CPU) for 1440p 60fps, and 4k 40-50fps! I think I should be good for the next 3-4 years for 1080p ultra 144hz gaming. I'm very happy!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get this exact card? In deciding if I want this or a slightly more expensive EVGA model
@@mbj920 Yes! I got the exact card. it works flawlessly, and I really mean that.

2070 S and 3700x.
My dude, I couldn't have been happier with my rig. I can run every game I throw at it at no less than 60fps in high settings at 1440p
HOWEVER! I strongly recommend you not to buy a GPU right now. Prices are too high, and the next gpus are about to release. If you can wait for Big Navi's benchmarks (or RTX 30xxx series), then wait for them.
As for the cpu, the 3700x is at $280 on ebay. It's an amazing cpu that will still be ahead of the next gen of consoles by quite a lot (plus it's unlocked).
Before anything though, make sure you do your research.
@@Staqrac Also, I cant really speak for futureproofing. Technology is always advancing, and you cant really futureproof anything nowadays. I do believe the 2070 super is going to hold strongly for the next few years... just take a look at how relevant the Gtx 1060 is after 4 years.

If I connect it to MSI b450 tomahawk max, will I be able to change rgb color, or turn it off ?

MSI costs about 600 - 620€, Strix even 10-20 € moren than the MSI. I can't see the reason why they should cost about 100€ more than the Gigabyte.
for your benchmarks, I assume that what you marked as min is not the 1% low correct?
