Hello! Im a direct descendant of Elias Moore who donated land to make Booneville. My family were Moores, Harrises, Foxes, Robinsons, Sizemores, and I dont remember a few, I'm sure.
Booneville KY will always be home Owlsey country has some of the hardest working people in Kentucky my grandparents on the Bowling side which is my mother maiden name Shirley Jean Bowling - Marshall her parents lived up on grassy branch and my fathers family lives on lower Wolfe Creek Ed and Betty Marshall n
@@heyokaempath5802 That would be my cousins relative on their other grandfather's side, but my cousin is an Andy Barrett, so I guess named after him. I should have been a little more clear because my ancestors were Gross, Johnson, McIntosh, Becknell. My grandmother's sister was married to a Barrett.
I didn’t know anything about Booneville until I saw an ad selling 125 acres of land for 200k. That’s very cheap for someone from California. It would be hard to convince my wife to move there😀

What a nice narrative. I hope Booneville will one day shine again.
I haven't been back since my great grandfather passed away in 05.

Proud to be from Booneville and this is a great showcase for our little town! Good job, Sue!

I have not been there for over 10 years and there are a lot of new stores. I think I saw a PetSmart. My cousins are the Barretts.
I bet we're related! My great great grandfather was one-armed Andy Barrett.
