- In this episode, I will show you to sharpen the pencil of two different lengths. But before we do that, I will explain you why it is important and the advantages of using this method instead of sharpener.

Love your video but what to do if we do not have sand paper
Thanks for commenting.
Use cutter to sharpen the lead or Buy one from hardware store
Buy 320 grit sandpaper from any hardware store and stick it on a small piece of firm material.or use plastered surface on a window cill, parapet but you should have a knack for it..for me cutter or any blade on lead is a no no as people do very uneven haphazard cutting into the lead making an uneven point

Could you tell me what model this Staedtler pencil is? I bought Staedtler as well but when I sharpen it with a razor, the lead is much skinnier than what I see in the video so it's harder to use.
You can buy 8B or EE. The pencils used in this are same as mentioned.
You get 12 grades of pencils..3b onwards thickness of lead goes up but lead is much softer
Which pencil are you using?
Steadtler
Excellent instructions !! Thank you so kindly!!!
Welcome and thanks for commenting👍🏻
Good, And nice 👍 explained
Thank you😊
Should i just only sharpen one side of the pencil and its done???
Please watch the video again.
@@SanjogSinnarkar i replay it many times i still don't get it
@@potatoo213 you will have keep on rotating the pencil so that you get even point.
Hope this helps
I and my friend vivek used to do this in 2nd class with pencil sharpners blade
Ya, even in my school days I used to do the same way
@@SanjogSinnarkar BIG FAN ITS UNBELIEVEABLE U COMENTED

Sorry for the late reply. Actually I did not any comment notification. Just happened to check the comment.

Is that 6b pencil?
Maybe one is 6B and the other 8B
@@SanjogSinnarkar Thank You!
Good work😇.i like it
Thank you 👍🏻
Lol, it seems that the described “problem” which is described “most people are too lazy” or “break the flow” isn’t a problem. Most people just have multiple sharpened pencils ready to go, as opposed to immediately having to sharpen it the moment it becomes too blunt.
Nice demonstration thank you for your tip❤️

Thanks a lot for the wonderful comment😊
Thanks bro thanks for guiding us :))

This is a really good way to sharpen but this doesent work properly to the pencil I have cause the graphite of the pencil I have is very thin
Indigo Soldier
It works for me even for the graphite pencil of 2mm
I ended up destroying 6b pencil and a roomful of shreds
Its a process that takes practice and time to command. Also, the pencil could have weak wood due to which such happens.
@@SanjogSinnarkar idk sir but now im going to buy a new 6b cuz i was in middle of a drawing doing this thing😭
@@KajuPlayZ6655 oops thats really sad to know. Wish you all the best 😊
@@SanjogSinnarkar sir hope so ;-;
@@SanjogSinnarkar sir im out of luck. Shopkeeper didnt have 6b so he handed me a 5b. Can you tell me if i should buy white pen or pencil or marker for highlights?
How do you sharp 8b and 10b
Same like shown in the video
thank you teacher :)
You're welcome😊
Never use blade on the lead to sharpen and especially by untrained because they will sharpen unevenly along the diameter and can't get even point afterwards even with a sandpaper.Best is to expose the lead and learn to evenly rotate and sharpen the pointbon sandpaper only
I would disagree to that as you can definitely use blade to make a sharp tip and it will happen with consider amount of practice. Most ateliers, art colleges and artists follow this method. However, you may also use sandpaper as shown in the video.
Thanks for commenting😊
Considerable amount of practice is the keyword and sensitivity to these skills are almost nil in students nowadays..I'm a professional architect and been teaching for last 3 years and the students just mess up the lead if they try with blades to sharpen them.
My pencil keep breaking...What can I do?
Buy a better pencil
Oh okay.Thank you
I was like WTF IS THAT that’s not how you sharpen a pencil
After watching - ya this is exactly how you sharpen the pencil
This is for if your doing realism, you'll want to get your pencil really sharp.
That’s right
The wood keeps going over the led

Bro try to make videos in hindi. Just because I'm getting vibes of u being an indian.
It's more easy for the ambiguous, not so linguistically capable young artists to understand it.
Try to explain things in the local terms as if ur teaching ur younger counterpart. Ur content is great.. I'm just saying if u are an indian u can make videos in hindi with some local refrences it will attract u more audience nd more people will be benefitted by it.
Hey Siddhant, thank you for commenting. I understand you point, perhaps I am skeptical of doing so. I was also thinking of creating two videos in hindi as well as english. But this is just a thought. But nit sure how it would work
@@SanjogSinnarkar well u can just provide a voice over in hindi of ur existing videos it will save u a lot time nd effort
or a video on how to create portrait of a particular celeb if u know what i mean....
Sanjog Sinnarkar it’s a great idea, you’d be helping people in that language who maybe don’t speak English so well.
You have a beautiful accent by the way. Great content, music, lighting, etc. thanks for this!
Hey Iris, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Sure I will try to do it for my future videos.

My pencil's lead always break when zi sharpened it just like in the thumbnail.
Its Mad EMO
It might happen because the lead is brittle. At times it happens with me as some pencils have defect
I made it 1k 😎
I have steadler 9b pencil the lead is soft it keeps on breaking even if i do like this
Barsha Ranjitkar
Might be because of the defective piece. Try making the tip slightly smaller
My pencil break😭
