I used to play Alisa, not as my main, but just for fun. Never really played her in a serious way. I would laugh my ass off everytime I get b1,1+2 counter hit launch. But now she seems like I could take her more seriously. I will pick her up again.
Unfortunately, the launch and filler part of her combos have changed very little, making her feel kinda old. Would have loved for more combo move variety to give her a more fresh feel. I've done those combos since T6, come on.

I love your vids and I've been trying out the stuff you have here. my typical wall combo are sort ofa variation: A) W! f2,3,3 B) W! db1,2 - f2.3.3 C) W! b4,3 - (not gauranteed) d2,4, 1+2 des mix (if they dont quick recover) D) W! b4.3. 1+2 des mix (if I see them quick recover) But ive noticed your wallcombos are either A) W! b3+4 - u1 - boot 3 B) W! u1 - boot 3 Is that really "gauranteed"? Ive tried it in practice and so far there isn't a scenario the dummy can block/evade it. Seems like it tracks both way and hit grouded. I'm willing to drop my current 4 wall combos if it is lol and why do you do b3+4 instead of db1,2 for more damage?
u1,f3 DBT 4 is like Bob's wall combo from Tekken 7, it can whiff against ground roll right if they have enough space that way, but seems often guaranteed. Yes db1,2 is the preferable single hit tornado but when it's too slow b3+4 is the second best option

When labbed a little 1,2, hold 2 can combo into b3+4 to have a tornado So : 1,2 hold 2 > b3+4 > df2 > df1 > df1 > 1,2,2 for wall carry I didn’t labbed much but with wall combo i could get around 80 damage from a low xD pretty sure we can do better
If you happen to be in heat it is your safe mid launcher that you normally don't have. Might spam those shoeshines and DES d+2 then bust out a 1+2 when your heat is running out. Have to see how that plays out
The new 12f punisher 2,2 [imo] is worse than 2,4 back in the day Also,u/d3+1and f,f 1+2 in destructive form is not knockdown or lauch so it's a nerf too😢
Those who played a solid, minimalistic Alisa in T7 saw many of their key tools nerfed: db+3 worse frames, df+1,4 punishable, b+4,4 combo lower damage, f,f+1+2,2 wall combo removed... Only if you're willing to move on and use the whole movelist will you see the strengths. A lot of Alisa players panicked on day 1!
No tornado move in DES is a big nerf, mainly bc she can't launch after DES f1+2. Now she has to be in heat and use heat dash to launch. DES f1+2 has more pushback on block, so she can't make use of the + frames. DES f1+2 is the only reliable + on block mid Alisa has, so nerfing its damage and giving it more pushback definitely hurts her. Her i14 punish doesn't launch anymore, now it only gives her a grounded hit, and no floor break unless she sacrifices half of her combo damage. Big nerf df1,4 is +3 on hit now, it used to be +5 and you could do it again to punish mashers, but now it can be interrupted if the opponent mashes. And on top of that, it's unsafe now. Another big nerf She doesn't have a low combo extender anymore (d4,1+2). Having a low combo extender is huge for easy pickups and making many unique combos possible, so this is a big loss. f2,1 doesn't wall pounce, and this is not a universal nerf bc many characters didn't have useful wall pounces in TK7, so this is a notable nerf. WR3,4 doesn't launch airborne opponents anymore. This is a nerf I already felt on day 1, and it's a bigger nerf than ppl think. ff3,4,4 doesn't launch anymore. This was the only long range launcher Alisa had that launches both standing and airborne opponents, so it had practical uses. s4 doesn't knockdown on NH anymore. etc. Other nerfs were mentioned, like db3 being -13 now (which is big) and -2 on hit, b4,4 lower combo damage, ff1+2,2 wall ender removed, and CH 4 launch removed. I think Alisa is overall stronger now, but she definitely lost many things in the transition to TK8.
f+2,1 doesn't wall bounce but it does launch in heat. Still seems to be homing at tip range (round start range), still unpunishable from tip range, and still very good for keepout. Once you've taught your opponent b+1 and db+3 keepout range and they aim their dash blocks for that range, f+2 with its longer range catches those dashes. One of my all time favourite moves, wall or no wall, and down from -13 to -10 now!
@@gajimaru2570 Yeah I know it launches in heat, but that's only once per round, and you don't always have heat. I do like that it's -10 now, though! I didn't talk about the buffs Alisa got because my comment was already long enough, and the comment was asking about her nerfs anyway. But I did mention that she's overall stronger now IMO.

For her mids, b+2 by itself is also now safe on block so you can hit confirm into b+2,4.

Worth noting: back/forward dash in DES doesn’t allow cancel to block. More risk than neutral dashes. Still a big buff if you use it well.

No. Instead db+2,2 is a natural combo on normal hit so you can use it against opponents who duck to get +5 into chainsaws
