You can play it at full power in legacy and it's even more disgusting because you get Crop Rotation, Once Upon a Time and Elvish Spirit Guide. The utility lands Maze of Ith and Glacial Chasm are very good as well.
Not at all how I expected this to play out. Seeing 12 Post for the first time played was a treat. The worst thing about this series is waiting a whole week to see the next game.
The funny thing is, at the very first modern pro tour, everyone knew this was the deck to beat and prepared for it. There was only one BreachPost that made top8. But Wizards banned it anyway because it was pretty clear to anyone this deck is busted. Especially it made any form of control totally unplayable, the whole meta was combo decks and some aggro.
@@malte54 In terms of power level, 12 Post is definitely up there with the very best. Emrakul is genuinely unbeatable. The only issue with the deck is consistency, which is why it's not played more. Other combos like Breakfast and Doomsday are easier and faster, but they can fold to enough interaction. 12 Post will always win games that go long.
To all of you in Cardmarket. Please keep this going. Your energy and enthusiasm makes for a wonderful content and I feel that its MtG as it should be. Thank you!
12-post was so underrated in the poll. Many mtg players never experienced it since it was more than a decade ago. "Fast mana / Big mana is ALWAYS broken"
I wonder how broken a 12-post deck would do if it had access to modern cards. Need to have a best modern deck ever, keeping the same archetypes but no banlist and no year restriction. Great content as always 🔥
I just found this channel in the last week and I have to say, you guys are the most pleasant and wonderful play group I’ve ever watched play! The dynamic, the pure passion for Magic and just enjoying the game. The excitement even when an opponent is doing something cool to win. I will always be fan!
I figured 12 post was gonna win, but honestly this match up also highlighted just how powerful and oppressive Urza Oko also was. Karn being able to grab sideboard cards like dampening sphere game 1 was insane
What an amazing match-up! Two explosive decks, filled to the brim with banned cards, and both sides had their fair share of "heart of the cards" moments when they drew just the thing that would keep them in the game. Absolutely phenomenal content and I cannot wait to see what happens in the finals.
The editing in these are so crazy good. It makes it such an enjoyable watching experience to see whats happening and i hope official mtg channels use these videos as a standard for future videos.
Called it. 12 Post just plays magic on a different scale. At the end of the day, the Urza Oko deck was a fair deck, that didn't really "break" the game. Cloudpost fundamentally breaks the usual 1 mana per land rule, and you cast the most powerful creatures in all of magic, held together with GSZ and Eye of Ugin.
Love this series, keep it up. Also there is a v good reason cloudposts are banned. Exponential mana is broken. Especially when even that exponential mana is increased with amulet of vigor
Yeah I had a feeling that the Oko voters either don’t know Legacy or don’t remember the beginning of Modern and the work required to keep those decks under control. It’s like Tron but better, yet it’s true successor is Titan Bloom, and the fact that Amulet Titan is the 3rd gen iteration of that deck/combo and it’s still a high performing deck in modern is crazy.
Andrea is just proving that the pilot of the deck matters, I think Carl improved immensely since the early days of the channel, he is a very very good player now but Andrea is just a beast
I mean, he also gets incredibly lucky at multiple points as well. You put that kind of luck and skill together and the decks he plays are going to punch above their weight.@@blueplayer6197

What a match! Might be my favourite of all the Best of Matches we've got so far. Friendly, but still competitive Match, 12 Post in action (what in the world is that deck?^^) And Andrea playing his heart out, so much so, that he got his heart on his cards (19:49 how is that not the thumbnail?^^) Also I really feel like Carl has steadily improved as a Magic Player, very good work :-)
12-post is so awesome. And we didn't even see how it beats aggressive decks, "Play glimmerpost as my land. Outgain your last two burn spells" Really hoping to see it in the final, though both Hogaak and Rakdos Scam seems like difficult match-ups

Carl has really been playing well this tournament. His decisions, especially at critical moments, have all been great.
I noticed he's playing well also. I have generally thought he is outmatched dueling all these pros, but he's proving himself very formidable.
Carl 100% is using this channel as training to go win a PT 🤣
Yea he grabbed eye of ugin to play around damping and I was just like, yasss queen
He is consistantly playing with some of the best players in the world, year round, not just for cram testing.
I trust in the 12 Post. Broken mana is always extremely powerful, no matter how slow the format.
Cloudpost preys on slow formats. To beat it, you need either a lot of land destruction or kill them faster than they can stabilize.
