It's hard to chop them when they're covered in flowers. I never considered canna lilly for biomass. What's Ripening? Cool. Yeah, i have arrow root, but it’s not nearly as vigorous as that galangal plant. Thees also Hedychium coronarium, which we call swamp lily here in brazil. Do you know it?

I liked that galangal (is that how you write jt?) plant. Do tou think it works well swampy areas, but dry climate?
I think so. As long as it's actively growing it handles wet soil. If it was colder season, it may stop growing and rot like other ginger and turmeric
Arrowroot is a really good one for wet site too. Makes a great starch flour
