I’ve always liked hole 33, been going there for many years, it’s sad 😞 to see it disappear little bit at a time. Liked the saving of the 🐠! Great video Vernon. Thank you
Haha! Welcome Vernon to the dip bait game!. When I go out all the times to fish for catfish I use dipped hot dogs and chicken breast. Great vid I haven't been out to 33 hole in 2 weeks but plan for this up coming weekend to go. On this day it will be my first video. The low levels seem to put everything south.. Great job 👍🏾 see out there brother. Tight lines!
@@BlueHandFishing indeed. Just north of the boat launch all the way to hemenway fishing pier. I like going south of the marina but that is a decent hike to get outside the marina boundaries.
The water bird in the shallows looks like a small grebe. Was it after the bait or small fish? They seem to be use to people. Are they a hindrance? They might get tangled up in the angling gear.....
Lots of them at Lake Mead. They tend to stay away from the baits, the coots go for the baits. But both me and the wife have accidently caught some using bass lures. They love chasing realistic plastic fish.
Wow this video was perfect, I’m heading out to lake mead tomorrow and that hot dog combo was exactly what I was planning to use so thank you! Glad it works! Did you end up using the brown sugar? Keep doin you man your vids are awesome
The rainy season is about 50 years late. Vegas gets monsoon rain in summer but the rain season is in winter. Most of the water in Lake Mead actually comes from melting snow in the mountains. Spring is when the lake reaches it's max for the season. And it was low this year.
There is no such critter as "global warming " lake levels are low because of infrastructure buildup below the 3 major dams in comparison to snow melt in the Rockies. Something to consider when relocating to LV. We got here in '94 and and can't believe how far the lake has dropped looking at the chalk lines.

Indeed I am on RUclips! If you want to see the videos for the fish I catch on Fishbrain, this is the spot.😉
So sad to see how low the lake level has become. Thanks for another great video. Never knew catfish like hot dogs as much as I do! lol
Sure thing JT, hey and everyone likes a good hotdog, that or you might be part catfish...

Can't wait to see what you bring us D Jr. Just keep an eye on some weather apps, might be real windy this weekend.
@@FinallyFishing thanks Vernon. Question do you know of a decent bank fishing spot near Hemingway harbor

"This in not the catfish you are looking for." "Move along..."
RabbitBully or Obi-Wan?
I enjoyed the video. Thumbs up! Incredible to see how low 33 got. 🥺
I know right. Thanks for watching.
I'v always gone to hole 33 at night, crazy to see what it actually looks like during the day! What size circle hook are you using?
I should probably keep the packs to make sure, but I believe it's a size 4/0

Thanks JC33! I added brown sugar as that pack of cool-aid was sugar free and brown is what I had on hand. but any sugar will do. Good luck out there.
The water at government wash has gotten so low it’s crazy! A whole island appeared
Question is, at what point is it no longer government wash and just the middle of the Lake?
Is it easy to get to hole 33??
It's easy if you are willing to hike down to the water. Not so easy in the middle of summer.
Jeez 33 hole is unrecognizable. Scary and sad.
I know right. If we need a silver lining, at least we get to fish some new areas of the lake.
Wouldn't have recognized those puddles for 33 Hole if you paid me.
You can see the lower water levels everywhere, but it just seems more drastic at 33 Hole. Or maybe it's just me, who knows.
So scary to see 33 Hole like that! I hope a lot more fish get rescued. When is the rain season so the lake could fill up a bit?

@@FinallyFishing that is indeed sad. It makes global warming far too much of a stark reality.. 😥😥

Awesome do another of the fish parasites?
My Bad, I get so caught up in the moment I forgot to show the leeches. I will try to remember next time Dexter.
Throw your gopro on a line and toss it out a few times next time you're out there! See what up?!!!
Lol Danny. That sounds like a good way to lose a camera.
Thumbs up but ya talk too much 🙂
Thanks for the feedback MegaBait. More fish less chat.
