    11. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by Peter Paul Cadbury and McDonald's)
    12. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" End Credits

    16. Coca Cola (With Joe Greene)
    17. Toyota

    I think it's great that they still do the Peanuts specials on TV. They are genuine classics.

    Ahhhhh. Just the way to start the long weekend. Thanks!
    Also the cowboy in the Caramello commercial? John Goodman.
    On another note is there anything that beats the CBS special presentation bumper? Nope.

    Wow...I am so pleased to see this ON Thanksgiving eve! I am from Washington, D.C and my family tuned into WDVM-TV 9 (now WUSA-TV 9) to watch all of the CBS Special programming that folks had to see back then..thank you for the upload and Happy Thanksgiving!

    10:41 That's Missy Gold co-star of the long-running hit 1980s ABC sitcom "Benson" (1979 - 1986) she played the Governor's daughter, Katie. Also, it is noteworthy that her sister is Tracey Gold from the long-running hit 1980s ABC sitcom "Growing Pains" Hmmm...I wonder what happened to her?

    Every time I see the CBS Special Presentation Bumper, I still get goosebumps. Something good is coming on!
    That Joe Greene Coke commercial was classic!
    Christmas of this year, I ended up getting the Hot Wheels set, and it lasted 7 years until the hinges finally gave way. I'd say it was money well spent!
    Happy Thanksgiving 80sCommercialVault!

    Omg the classic “Mean Joe Green” Coke commercial!
    My cousins were born in the early 80s and they gave me those See ‘n Say toys as hand-me-downs.

    The Barbie Dream House commercial uses The Seekers song Georgy Girl.

      +sirlordford Yeah, we sang that commercial for YEARS after we first saw it and it no longer aired...very catchy.

    I had that Barbie Dream House and the furniture that goes with it.

    I remember having the Hot Wheels Service Center as a kid in I think 1981, and if you remember there was a City version. I always wanted the City one, but I never got it. Looking at that commercial, it bought back so many memories and if I remember, that black Trans Am car came with the service center.

    Wow. The "Barbie Dream House" was quite the "Big Ticket" item. Just saw a Holiday History special, mentioning "E-Z Bake" ovens in the '60s. About $15 dollars then, approx. $120 Today. Not a cheap gift.

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  8 лет назад +1

      +GrowinupinSincity81 The Barbie Dream House was definitely the most expensive, "big ticket" item a girl could get back then. The boy equivalent, the enormous G.I. JOE USS Flagg aircraft carrier, retailed at 109.99 in 1985...which in today's dollars would be around $240.

      I've always wanted to have a Barbie dream house to use for my little animal collection that I had but never did get one because it was so expensive.

    York Peppermint Patty-they missed the opportunity to feature the Peanuts character in their ads lol
    CBS canned that"Enos" show rather quick..seemed like the character was written back into The Dukes Of Hazzard the following month or so

    Man, feels surreal seeing Charlie Brown related stuff on CBS, also Thanksgiving in OZ?
    Some things things different and yet, the same.

    Hal Smith? You sure it's not Frank Welker voicing Clausen?

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  Год назад

      Yes. I'm sure. It's identical to his Gyro Gearloose voice used in Ducktales and a bunch of other cartoons. ruclips.net/video/0Jv3L78jydg/видео.html

    Wow! Great collection. Odd, no Dolly Madison commercials. Was that a 70's thing?

  • @DanZero77
    @DanZero77 8 лет назад

    Ok, I didn't see Orson Welles in the Perrier ad. Is that some sort of a joke that went over my head? I know he did Paul Masson in volume 310.
    I never got to see that Oz thanksgiving special. Sid Caesar as the wizard must have been pretty cool.
    That talking learning system is REALLY cool, however!

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  8 лет назад

      +DanZero77 Orson Welles does the voiceover in the Perrier ad, he does not actually physically appear in it.

    • @DanZero77
      @DanZero77 8 лет назад

      Damn. Good catch there, I had to watch it again. No funny outtakes for this ad I guess right?

    • @JohnnyUtah15
      @JohnnyUtah15 8 лет назад

      +DanZero77 Not sure about any funny outtakes for this commercial but I remember these lines from a Simon & Simon episode titled Love, Christy about a well-off college girl:
      *Cecilia Simon:* A.J., aren't you going to offer Christy something?
      *A.J.*: Of course. Would you like something?
      *Christy:* Perrier, please.
      *A.J.:* We just ran out.
      *Christy:* Nevermind.
      *Cecilia:* Will club soda be alright?
      *Christy:* It is not the same.
      *Cecilia:* No, of course not. It just tastes the same.

    Man, somehow even those bumpers are enough to let me know that "Thanksgiving in the Land of Oz" was forgotten for a reason.
