Would you say it's competitive to get housing there?

Hi! You get guaranteed housing freshman year if you don't transfer so you don't have to worry about that. What housing you get will actually not depend on you, but what your friend gets. If your potential roommate has a higher priority number than you (meaning more credits) than they can pull you in with them to their room! So that's the upside to how competitive it is. Overall though, yes, housing is competitive on and off campus, but at the same time that people are trying to get housing a lot of people are also simultaneously leaving and making room, so all you have to do is make a group of friends and together you'll all figure it out. Someone is bound to have a high number or knows someone who's graduating and leaving a house behind.
